Date: Sat, 14 Jun 1997 10:51:04 -0600 From: ninapie@ntcnet.com Subject: GH: UPDATE Monday June 9 X-Article-Creation-Date: Sat Jun 14 15:28:53 1997 GMT GH UPDATE for Monday 6/9/87 Factoids of note: No Culliton in today's credits *Zero* flashback count Keesha missing in action for 13 shows "Previously on GH": We get a rundown of suspects, all threatening Dorman in some way--Emily, Jason, Sonny, Brenda, Monica, and Alan. We see Dr. Dorman get his with a stake--er, a scalpel--through the heart. scene--GH Lobby-- The hospital is in darkness and all is chaos as the system has crashed. Stefan is on the phone talking with the fix-up guys trying to straighten the situation out. The lights and computer come back on and everyone cheers and all hail the mighty Stefan for his skills. Even Nik, who in my last update swore he never wanted to see Stef again, praises his genius. Off to the side Bobbie watches, the scales fallen from her eyes. She goes to a pay phone and calls Luke--she'll be right over. Stef surprises her. She tells him she's going to pick up Lucas. "You seem to have taken care of things nicely." She's friendly enough, but it's clear to us that she's on to him. Stef himself seems somewhat wary, and responds humbly. "The staff has to take some of the credit." "Oh, I wouldn't say that," Bobbie smiles. They eye each other, both faking, and neither sure of how much the other knows. Alan's office-- "Stay calm," the chief of staff tells himself. He freaks when he flicks on the lights and sees Alexis there. She mentions his nervous state and he tells her "I had an unpleasant encounter with someone." He asks her if he seems different to her. Taken aback, she answers that she doesn't know him well enough to make a judgment like that. "Do you ever get the feeling that things will never be the same?" Alan asks. Alexis answers "I was born with it." Elsewhere in GH-- Brenda emerges from the elevator in time to see Sonny, his back to her, quickly slip something into his pocket. (Brenda looks washed out and weird. Maybe it's just lack of sleep and nerves, but she looks kind of the way she did when she was on pills.) She tells Sonny she was trying to stay out of Dorman's way. Then she asks him what he has in his pocket. "Maybe I'm just happy to see you," he replies. Yuk yuk. Then he promises her that they will have a great life together if she'll remember not to inventory his pockets. GH morgue--dum da dum dum-- Carly is in the hallway outside the morgue and notices bloods spots on the floor. Uh oh. Ms. Bare Midriff steps into the morgue and yodels "Hey guys, you left a mess out there." She spots the bad Dr. Deadman on the floor like a flounder. Double uh oh! At that moment, Jason steps behind her and places a hand over her mouth to stifle her screams. When she calms, Jason warns her to be careful not to touch anything. He gets some plastic gloves from a cabinet and searches Dorman's body, finding the plane tickets. Then he tells Carly to call the cops and leave a good strong print on the "911" numbers on the phone. Carly tells her that she will lie for him if he wants. She's prepared to lie through her teeth for him. "I used to say that Tony was the best thing to happen to me--well, he doesn't want that title, so it belongs to you, whether you want it or not." Jason tells her just to say the truth (with a few minor lapses)--that she came in, found Dorman dead, and Jason already there. When Taggert and Garcia arrive, they question Jason, who admits that he wanted to kill Dorman, but somebody beat him to it. "I came in, he was dead, she [Carly] came in." Taggert: Do you know my friend Mr. Morgan? To know him is to love him. Garcia: I brought him in a year ago for train surfing. (To Jason) You've come a long way since then. Sonny's taught you a lot. Taggert: (tsking) These homicide cops...so intense. Around the hospital--the staff is being alerted that a murder has taken place. Privately, Stefan and Alexis talk. He asks her which of the Dr.s Q she thinks did the deed, but she won't venture a guess. "If you find out," he tells her, "Give them my thanks, my congratulations, and make sure we can hold it over their head." A little later, when Stef overhears Tony saying how dire things were in the OR with Audrey when the lights went out, Stef has the decency to look guilty. When Stef tries to reprimand Alan for "disappearing" during the blackout, Alan gives him the big diss. In the GH parking garage-- Monica is leading a zombie-like Emily to the car. Ned surprises them and when Em turns, Ned sees there are blood streaks on her hospital gown. (Some viewers have stated that the blood stains look like letters or words. A clue or a red herring?) Ned also sees that Monica holds a blood-stained scalpel in her hand. They get Em into the car. Monica informs him that Dorman is dead. "They're not going to find anything," she assures him. Ned tells her to give him the weapon and she takes the girl home while Ned stays behind. At Luke's Place-- Big bro can see how upset Bobbie is. "Are you in trouble?" She starts to spill: "Audrey Hardy. Sweet, loyal, tough as nails Audrey...with a thousand friends and nobody to come home to anymore. He could have left her paralyzed on one side, or worse." She knows Stefan was behind the system crash that left them helpless during Audrey's operation. She realizes that she could always count on Luke. "You never lied to me, not about the really important things. Like about the daughter I gave up...you could have kept the truth from me when she died...kept me hoping--but I had a right to know the truth." Luke, a bit guilty, quickly changes the subject. She still can't get over how Stefan could have put Audrey's life at risk. "There is a monster in the mansion, and I'm married to him." Bobbie beats herself up for her choice in husbands--she turned to Stef because she felt rejected by Tony. Luke asks "Did he ever tell you he loved you?" Bobbie answers no. "What he did was offer me everything I thought I wanted . He didn't promise not to lie every time he opened his mouth." She and Luke have a really good scene where she talks about how she's still haunted by her hooker past. Luke insists he's never thought about her that way. She thought that the role of Mrs. Cassadine would protect her--no one would dare look down upon the wife of such a powerful man. But that's all over. "Whatever I felt for him went out with the lights in that OR. I'm done, and whether he knows it or not, so is he." At the Q manse-- Emily is still in a near-catatonic state. Monica draws her a bath and tells her everything will be all right, but Em freaks when Monica tries to help her undress. Later, she puts Em to bed and tries to explain that sometimes it's good to keep secrets. She asks Emily not to tell anyone about what happened at the hospital. After a moment, Em jerks out "Okay." As Monica lifts her arm, Em notices a spot of blood on Monica's sleeve. At the police station-- AJ catches up with Carly and she is startled to learn that AJ and Jason are brothers. In the interrogation room, Taggert murmurs to Jason "This is not for posterity...you can deny it later if you want. But tell me. You killed Dorman, didn't you?" --end of show-- Nina P. -------------------==== Posted via Deja News ====----------------------- http://www.dejanews.com/ Search, Read, Post to Usenet
