Daily Updates
From: mboyd93192@aol.com (MBoyd93192) Subject: GH update 6/4/97 Date: 2 Jul 1997 18:42:44 GMT The person who usually does this day had her days mixed up or something and asked me to fill in for her. So, first off let me say that I'm sorry this took so long to get done but so much happened on this day. Amber Tamblyn truly deserves an Emmy nomination for her performance today. Also AJ, Dorman, and Brenda turned in really good performances for today's show. So this is going to be a little long plus I added a couple dialogue scenes that I thought were pretty good. Now for the update... Brenda and Sonny make love on the blanket in the country. Monica and Alan are discussing her kidnapping Dorman. Jason comes up looking worried so Monica tells him that she told Alan everything that happened. Alan thanks Jason for helping Monica; Jason replies it was no big deal. Alan says it was and they talk about whether or not Mac can convict Dorman. Alan goes to call Mac and finds out that Mac was fired. The trio looks stunned and Jason leaves for the police station. Dorman, now out of jail, thanks the Idiot for signing the affidavit concerning the restraining order. Graff walks up to them and informs them that the paperwork is in motion to get the order against Jason. Taggert walks up and Dorman begins to bully him, telling him that he's going to sue the station and Taggert will get fired along with Mac, blah, blah, blah. Graff leaves to pick up the order and Taggert warns Dorman not to get too cocky because the police department has not and will not forget Dorman. Emily goes into the Q den crying and saying that everything was all her fault. AJ and Ned follow her in asking what she means and what she thinks she did. She tells him that she never should have written in her diary because it's like she told the family's secrets and that Ned wouldn't have lost Lois and AJ wouldn't have lost his job if it weren't for her. She turns to Ned and reminds him that he told her not to tell. He tries to calm her saying that writing in a diary isn't telling but Emily screams that "it is if somebody reads it!" She opens her diary and reads where she wrote about finding out about Ned and Monica's affair anf that was how Dorman found out. She begins ripping the page sout and throwing htem at Ned when he tries to restrain her. She backs away from him and AJ tells Ned to let him try. AJ tries to tell her that it doesn't make sense because how could Dorman have gotten ahold of her diary. Emily looks at AJ with total rage in her face and says with absolute hatred in her voice (LOD #1)"Because he's mean and sneaky!" She then reads from her diary where she wrote about AJ driving the night that Jason got hurt. AJ tells her it doesn't matter and that it's probably best that people found out. Emily insists that Monica lost in court and her job because of what Emily wrote and did. She tries to leave but Ned grabs her arms. EMily starts to scream for him to let her go but he just looks at her straight in the eyes and asks what drug she took. AJ pulls Ned away and asks him if he's trying to make things worse. Emily just stands there with her mouth open looking shocked, stunned, hurt, and terrified. (opening credits--and this show is just geting started!) AJ tells a guilty-looking Ned to back off. AJ turns to Emily and tries to reassure her that he knows she didn't take anything. She looks way gone from reality and starts backing up telling them to just go away. She slides down onto the floor, clutching her knees to her chest and starts rocking back and forth, saying over and over "go away go away." AJ begins to berate Ned about the drug accusation. Ned tells AJ that she had the same look in her eyes that she had the night of overdose but that AJ wouldn't remember because he was off someplace getting drunk. AJ tells Ned he's right and they argue about who might know more about addictions. While they're talking, Emily is still rocking with her hands clutching the sides of her head and still repeating "go away." Ned says she's hysterical to which AJ reminds him that (duh) she's been through a lot and has a right to be upset. AJ raises Emily's head asking her to look at him and when she does, her eyes immediately go blank and she gets really quiet. ned comes to her and she slinks away from him. She looks as if she has no idea who they are but she Lets AJ pick her up and carry her to the car so they can go to the hospital. Ned follows behind. Graff ocmes int he station with the restraining order and then leaves. Dorman turns to taggert and asks who should tell Mr. Morgan. Jason comes in and asks "Tell Mr. Morgan what?" Dorman replies "This bonebrain. Oh, I forgot. You probably can't read. What this is (Jason snatches restraining order away from Dorman), well, you'll find it's a piece of paper. It's a restraining order from a judge which means you have to stay the h*** away from me. Rebecca glares at Jason and she and Dorman leave. Jason throws the order at Taggert and demands to know why they couldn't hold him. Taggert simply tells him "insufficient evidence." Jason asks where Mac is and Taggert tells him he was fired over a disagreement with the mayor about Dorman and is now in Canada for some private investigating of a kidnapping case (you must watch "Port Charles" to know what this means you must watch "Port Charles" to know what this means). Brenda is laying (covered up of course) with her head on Sonny's chest and they discuss that all along he knew they'd end up right there together. She sits up and tells him that she knows he knew they belonged together but he was patient even though he didn't understand and she loves him for it. He says that he didn't have to understand because she wanted time so he gave it to her and he asks her if she found what she was looking for. She replies that in terms of herself, not completely, but that she's not going to stop looking because she finally realized that that's what it's all about. She says she's also realized htat she's not going to wait for one or both of them to be perfect. Sonny replies that perfect is not an option or even a hope for him (awww....). She tells him that he's the only thing that's ever really made her happy. She lays back on Sonny and tells him that the miracle on this "perfect day" is that they both finally know it's right at the same time. Sonny disagrees and says that the miracle is that neither of them has done anything to try and mess it up. They hear a rustling and Brenda sits up worried it could be a cow. Sonny looks at her and asks if she's afraid of a cow stampede. She asks how he, "Mr. I-suddenly-own-land-in-the-country" would know because there are no cows in Bensonhurst. They start kissing again when Sonny's cell phone rings. He groans and asks why he brought it. She tells him because they left all kinds of complications back home. He answers it-- it's Jason and he tells Sonny about the restraining order and Dorman being out of jail. Sonny tells Jason that he'll meet him at GH and hangs up. Sonny apologizes to Brenda but Brenda tells him not to because they can come back there for the rest of their lives (a little forshadowing of bad things to come, maybe? You be the judge). They start kissing again. Amy is going into minor hysterics because the computer keeps messing up. Monica asks if she called the service department and Amy says she did but that everything is messed up due to the hostage incident on the 6th floor (you must watch "Port Charles"to know what this means you must know what "Port Charles" to know what this means). She blabs on about Greg Cooper and him being psycho without anyone realizing it. Monica, looking understandably uncomfy, leaves the nurses' station to talk to Alan. She starts blaming herself because if she had asked Dorman where he hid the drugs, there would be a reason to keep him in jail. Jason arrives and informs them that Dorman's out of jail and has a restraining order against him. Monica and Alan get mad and Alan starts ranting about how he could still fire Dorman. Just then, AJ walks off the elevator carrying Emily with Ned following sheepishly behind. Monica asks what happened and Ned walks over to her saying Emily needs a doctor. He tells about her "freaking out at the house" and how he thinks she's on drugs. Alan starts to follow AJ and Em but Ned stops him saying AJ doesn't think she's on drugs and then tells about Em being upset over her diary and Dorman reading it. Monica realizes with horror that Em heard her talking to Mac and Ned asks in disbelief that it's true. ned tells them that Em started crying and then she wouldn't speak or respond. Al;an leaves ot speak to a psychiatric resident and Ned, Monica, and Jason go to see Emily. AJ and Em are sitting in some chairs. Em has her hands clasped in front of her and is rocking back and forth again (this rocking is pretty creepy but really well acted). Monica tries telling her that there's no need to be afraid and no one is mad at her but Em still doesn't respond. AJ tries to reassure Monica that at least Em let him bring her to the hospital. Alan walks up and tells them that the doctor is ready to see Emily now so AJ picks her up and carries her to her room. Sonny and Brenda step off the Emily and upon seeing Ned and Jason, they ask what happened. Ned tells her what happened and she asks if it was a drug slip. She and Ned leave and Sonny asks Jason if he's okay. He says no because Emily's a mess and Dorman is responsible. They agree he needs to go down soon and that when he tries to grab his stash and bolt, they'll be waiting for him. Dorman is pacing his apartment. The Idiot tries to get him to eat something and starts blabbing about how crazy Monica is. He sweettalks her into going ahead to work and they discuss leaving PC together. The Idiot leaves. (Really. How stupid can she be to believe all the lies Pierce tells her about how he loves her and wants to go away with her? Does she have a brain? I was just wondering.) AJ is talking to Emily telling her to come back to them when she's ready and that they'll be waiting for her. Outside Em's room, the doctor tells the Q's that she didn't take any drugs and that due to her immense grief, she just basically shut down to protect herself. Alan, Monica, nad the doctor go back in the room. Ned remains outside when Brenda comes up. He tells her that there were no drugs in her system to which Brenda breathes a sigh of relief. Ned tells her (LOD #2), "Apparently she was protecting herself-- from jerks like me." Brenda reassures him that she was only protecting herself and that when Emily recovers, she'll see that a lot of people will think you've slipped even when you haven't and that Emily trusts Ned and won't blame him. he tells her that he'd rather have her angry with him though instead of herself. Brenda goes into her bag and pulls out a locket that she received as a Mother's Day gift from her goddaughter, Brooke Lynn. Inside hte locket is a picture of Brokke and Brenda asks Ned if Lois would mind if she gave the locket to Emily because she remembers how much Emily loved Brooke. He says it would be fine. The doctor flashes a pocket light in Emily's eyes and talks to her but she doesn't respond. He and the Q's got to the corner and tells them that her reflexes are normal adn that her silence isn't as forced. Alan and the doctor discuss the use of drugs to bring Emily back but the doctor believes that at this time, drugs aren't necessary because she'll probably come out of her state on her own and she just needs some rest. Tehy tell Emily good-bye and leave. Ned asks if anyhting's changed. Monica says no and that more than anything she wishes that Emily never found out about Dorman reading her diary. Brenda says (LOD #3), "I can't believe that monster would use a little girl's diary to do his dirty work." Sonny tells Jason to go check on Emily because he must be worried about her when the Idiot runs to the nurses' station apologizing for being late due to a family emergency. Jason walks up to her and asks, "Dorman's family?" She tells him she'll call the police because there's a restraining order against him. Jason cooly replies that it applies to Dorman, not her. He asks why would she lie for him again but Sonny walks up before she can answer and tells Jason he needs him to do something and for her to go back to whatever she was doing. Sonny tells Jason to back off the Idiot and to keep an eye on Dorman because he has to leave but will be back soon. Jason does his "staring stance" and stares at the Idiot. Ned and Brenda go in to see Emily. Brenda talks to Emily and tells her about the locket. She puts it in Emily's hand and tells how it helped her and can help Emily also. Brenda reminds Emily that Lois, Brooke Lynn, and everyone loves her to which Ned tells Em to count him in on that. Brenda tells her it was unfair because all she did was write in a book that was supposed to be private and that it's not her fault that the "secrets" were revealed. Ned tells Em how sorry he was for accusing her of being on drugs. They leave and Emily looking like she could almost cry flashes back to when Dorman told her that monica was going to pay, then to when Monica lost in court, and then to when she had hung up the phone after Matt's mom told her it was her fault for Matt being dead. Emily starts to move the locket around in her hand. Monica and Alan tell AJ that they were very glad that he came when he did. Ned tells AJ that he was right about the drugs. AJ tells Ned that it wouldn't kill him to believe her the next time. AJ leaves and Monica and Alan look at Ned who looks like the world is on his shouders. Jason is still staring at Rebecca when Brenda walks up and asks him where Sonny went. He says he doesn't know but that Sonny will be back soon. Brenda guesses it has to do with Dorman and tells him to go see Emily because she's really crazy about him. As he leaves, she notices he was staring at Rebecca. (I had to include this scene in word for word because it was just great. It's nice to see Brenda acting fiesty again). Amy whines: Amy: "Oh, man! I have seen these stupid fish so many times I'm begging to think I ought to feed them. (Rebecca laughs) Brenda: "What are you laughing at? Amy: "Uh, me. I made a stupid joke. B: What? Are you going to defend this girl? Do you realize that this is the girl who *lied* for Dorman? Do you know what that makes you? Do you realize that Dorman sells drugs to kids? That means htat the kids who don't die from it will be fighting addictions for the rest of their lives. And you *lied* for him? R: I don't have to stand here and listen to this. You're the one who's drowning in lies. Quartermaine propaganda. Everybody in this town believes anything the *lordly* Quartermaines have to say. Pierce was lucky to get the one judge they couldn't buy. B: Oh, well, I guess he didn't have to worry about buying a judge, did he, because he bought you. So, how was he, honey? Was he good? R: Who do you think you are with your sick, disgusting, accusations? What are you anyway but a woman paid to show off her body to sell perfume? And you dare to to question the integrity of a fine doctor. B: (who is seething and about to jump over the counter for Rebecca's throat) You're fine doctor?! You're fine doctor sells drugs to kids, do you realize that? You idiot! He's makingyou look like a fool. R: That *thug* you were just talking to beat him up and almost killed him B: (sighs) Yeah, well, too bad he didn't because somebody should. B: (couldn't make out first part) ...you plan, honey, because whatever you think you have with Dorman is about to come to an end. He is about ot get what he deserves and I can guarantee you that. Amy comes over to Brenda and tries to get her to sit down but Brenda refuses. Amy calmly reminds Brenda that there are other patients in the hospital. Brenda apologizes, not for what she said, but for making a scene. She says that she just came from seeing Emily and rants about how Dorman is walking the streets and that somebody has to stop him. ( Bravo!! Bravo!! I loved this scene between Brenda and Rebecca. I was hoping they'd get into a fight, but, alas, they didn't. Oh well, it was great though.) Monica and Alan are in Emily's room and they comment on the locket. Jason comes in and sits next to Emily. He tells her he's sorry she feels bad and that she looks like he did after his accident. He tells her that he got better though and so will she (hopefully with most of her memory intact though) but she jsut shouldn't be scared. Monica pretty much runs out of hte room. Alan follows her and she tells Alan she didn't want Emily to see her cry. She breaks down and tells Alan, who holds her, that she is so angry she can't breathe and that she should have killed Dorman when she had the chance. The End! Wow. What a great show. Sorry about it being so late and so long but I hope you enjoyed!
