From: maryb <mbrace@wrlt.com> Subject: GH: Wdnesday Update 5/28 Date: Sun, 01 Jun 1997 14:47:13 -0500 GH Update Wednesday, 5/28 Carly starts the day with a visit from AJ, bearing donuts and a gift of guitar strings for Tony. Carly invites him to stay and chow down. He asks her if she was in as much hot water with Tony as she thought, and says he thinks Tony has it pretty good with her around. While wiping powdered sugar off her mouth, he has some sort of memory from their night at the bar. He thinks he remembers dancing with her, but Carly strikes up the avoidance chord and says she'd rather forget the evening. Not me, say AJ, he wants to remember the night he made a new friend. At Justus' office, Tony discusses Bobbie's psyche. As she is about to enter the office for the coming pow wow, she encounters Luke, waiting for her in the hallway. He tries, with no success, to talk her out of the custody suit. Finally, Alexis arrives and ushers her client into the meeting. Tony asks Bobbie for some privacy, to talk about the situation away from all the legal eagles. She agrees; Tony tells her he wants to see Lucas, to tell him his side of what's going on between the boy's parents. He offers to have Bobbie present while he does this. No dice, says Bobbie, and I've already told him everything he needs to know. The conversation escalates into recriminations. Alexis comes out, ends the tete-a-tete, and leaves with Bobbie. Tony goes back into Justus office to report on his failure, and gets clued into what Peg, the secretary, is starting to remember of the day the custody papers were stolen from the office. She tells him about the woman who visited that day, the earring that she found after the visit, and AJ offering to return the earring to its rightful owner. Casa Cassadine Stefan grills Nik for info on his whereabouts on the previous evening, and confronts him with his new knowledge that Nik made a trip to Switzerland, to follow him and see that Leslie and Lulu weren't harmed by him. Stefan's po'd that Nik would think he'd harm a batty old woman and a helpless child. If Lulu were holding the egg, Nik points out, Stefan wouldn't blink before harming her (in not so many words). Nik says he saw Stefan for what he was, in Swit- zerland, and tells him the little tale of one guy going up a mountain, one guy coming down, with an egg, and what happened when the two collided. I didn't know, Stefan says. That's the point, Nik tells him, and lays out his newfound insight to his uncle's character. Stefan is mortified, and asks what he can do to put things right. Next thing, Nik pops out his knowledge that Uncle is also responsible for Katherine's condition. Very responsible. Nik announces he's through with the Cassadine name and all that goes with it. Stefan tells him he'll always be a Cassadine; yeah, says Nik, but I'm also half Laura's, and then breaks the news that he owes his life to Luke Spencer. The knife twists. Bobbie, unheard, comes in and overhears. Sonny & Brenda are cozying on the waterfront when Jason arrives with the news that Dorman's disappeared. No sign of him anywhere, but no sign that he packed his bags...but Jason did find transcripts from Emily's diary in Dorman's apartment. They go over the notes and find they point to Dorman. Sonny and Brenda go off to find Mac and inform him of the development; Jason goes through the diary notes and has a flashback to Monica talking about Dorman and using the same adjectives about him that Emily put down about Matt's dealer. He realizes that Monica knows about Dorman and rushes off. Starlight Motel Dorman, meanwhile, is trying to loosen his wrist binds, when in walks Monica, cool shades and all. Court is in session, she announces. He tries talking her out of her actions, playing for time to wriggle out. Monica pulls out a hammer and starts the trial- Dorman vs. the Truth, with her as judge, prosecutor and jury. Throughout the trial, he continued to be his snarky self while Monica reeled off his crimes against herself, AJ, Emily, Sonny, Marilyn Cooper, et al. Throughout this, he continues to work on his binds, until he finally is able to break free. When he attacks Monica, our woman is well prepared and has him tied back up in no time. Eventually, the verdict is in. Guilty. Monica pulls out her big, black bag. Tony arrives back at Carly's and, not seeing AJ ten feet away, asks if she's seen the new neighbor lately. What new neighbor, AJ asks. The have some neighborly chat, Tony thanks him for the guitar strings, and as AJ's about to leave, Tony starts to ask him about the day he came into the apartment and interrupted a visit between Carly and the Q. A rush of clues, er, flashbacks, runs through Tony's head and he finally starts putting two and two together. After AJ leaves, even more clues enter, and by George, he has it. Carly looks worried.
