Andrews, jandrews@uic.edu >> The General Hospital Update for Friday May 9 1997 << Written By: Kathy Ellington ============================================================ Miranda's Gone [thank you, God], Jax is arrested, Sonny's got Zip =========================================================================== Sonny goes to Miranda's apartment. He needs her to tell Mac that she saw Dorman and "a patient in a wheelchair" at the PC Airport. She's gone, though. Brenda arrives and Sonny explains why he needs to find M. They talk about why Brenda came to Miranda's apartment. She tells Sonny that Jax didn't want to hear her confessions about her and Sonny aardvarking in the cave. Sonny is irritated that Brenda's marriage hasn't blown apart yet. They poke around and ascertain that Miranda went to the airport...they take off. Yep, Duh's at the airport waiting for her flight to leave. She spots Jax lumbering in and thinks he's at the airport to join her so they can fly off together. Wrong. He's going on a business trip, that's all. Jax tells Miranda that he has moved on...why doesn't she? Desperately, she blurts out that Brenda really loves Sonny. The only response from Jax is a look of pain and disgust. He walks away toward the gate. She turns in another direction and, mercifully, walks off the show. As Jax is preparing to show his ticket, Brenda and Sonny breeze up. He is short with both of them as they explain why they're (1) together and (2) why it's important that Sonny find Miranda. Before Jax can complete his check-in, two men come up and identify themselves as federal agents. They demand that Jax open his luggage. They find a kilo of a white powder which they immediately identify as heroin [no drug test, boys?]. They read Jax his rights. [this updater doesn't think that Dorman planted the drugs. My money is on our own little Nedling, who could use something like Jax's drug arrest to force him off the ELQ board...longshot!] Stef Gets his Egg, leaves Luke with a Goose-Egg =========================================================================== In Switzerland, Laura answers a knock at the chalet door. It's SteFAWN! He claims he's just on a scavanger hunt, and a Faberage egg is next on his list. Luke strides in from another room; Stef is surprised to find him there. Luke starts to bait Stef about the egg. Stef says he's not leaving without it. Luke grabs the egg and demands that Stef tell him what's inside. Laura tells Luke to give Stef the damned thing already! Luke threatens to destroy the egg and darts outside onto the porch saying he'll throw it down a crevasse. He looks up and Stef has drawn a gun. Laura demands that Luke give up the egg. Then Luke whips out his own gun...stand off! There's a quick movement, Stef bonks Luke on the head w/his gun and Spencer goes down like a sack of wet cement [faked it]. Stef grabs the egg and Laura, crouching over Luke, snarls up at Stef. He replies that he saved her marriage, what more does she want? [this updater thinks the whole scene was another Spencer con...part of Luke's own "master plan"] Ned comforts Emily =========================================================================== Ned talks to Emily. They reach a new level of understanding when he relates the tragic drug death of one of his old school pals. Later on, Ned suggests to Edward that he tell Emily he loves her. Lucy and Filly, get thee to a nunnery. =========================================================================== At the lighthouse Lucy dreams of an idyllic future with Kevin and their children, Little Lucy and Kevin, Jr. Felicia rings the bell; she has some disquieting news. When Kevin was in England, he arranged to have a package sent to a convent in a remote French village. The fillies grab their gold cards and head for the airport, bound for France. KevinBunny: The kwazy wabbit's in LOVE! [ps: get a haircut, Jon] =========================================================================== Kevin is in a shrink session with Gail Baldwin. He's so goofy in love with Lucy that he's having trouble concentrating. He tells Gail that Lucy is the only one who's ever been there for him, through his darkest moments.
