Today was another Hospital Day, and it opened with
Stefan and Bobbie stepping off the elevator - her
first day back at work since the vacation, er, convention.
While Bobbie's pals were welcoming her back, Alexis
took the opportunity to draw Stefan aside (updaters
note: I hated his suit. Reminded me of early 1900's
fashion that cut way into the shoulder) and inform
him that Nik was onto him and Katherine. Stefan
went her one futher, by relaying that the Spencers
have The Egg.

Ned introduced the Q's to Alice Dalton, Emily's new
counselor, who warned them she planned on treating
the whole family, not just Em.

Who was receiving a visit from Jason. She told him
a little of her woes, being careful to protect the
guilty (Matt). She told him that when she woke
up in ER and saw Dorman, she was sure she was
being punished.

Tony and Carly were sharing a fun moment in the
gym/physical therapy room when Katherine wheeled
in to push back her date w/Carly; a "PR (read Stefan)
summons." She wheeled back out, and a hunkified
AJ came in for a workout. Carly, uncomfortable,
literally but diplomatically pushed Tony out of the
room. After watching AJ high-kick for a while,
she thanked him for being quiet about her Embarrassing
Situation and they played a little "getting to know
you." The conversation moved to Bobbie

Who was hanging out with Tony when Jason passed out
flyers for the upcoming show at Luke's club. Bobbie,
and Stefan when he rejoined her, declined the invitation.
Bobbie teased him a little, saying "Bet you never go
to concerts." Stefan wasn't feeling humorous, and sniped
"Contrary to popular opinion, Barbara, I wasn't brought
up in a mausoleum." Later, she took an opportunity to
ask him why the hissy fit over Nik giving Leslie Lu
the egg. After stealing a look at an entering Katherine,
Stefan declined to explain, and in not so many words,
declared the topic dead.

Dorman took an opportunity to tweak Jason, voice
his low opinion of the family and lay the ground for
putting the blame of Matt's o.d. at Emily's door.

Luke's Club

Lucy, Mike, and Sonny are prepping the place for the big
show, and after dissing Mike's display skills, she lays
the charm out on both of them. Sonny knows she's brown-
nosing, and wants to know why. Lucy explains that she
woke up this morning in high gear - the annual Nurses'
Ball is coming up and she wants this year's theme to
be family, and wouldn't Mike and Sonny make a great
family act? The pair were in synch with their disagreement.
Just think about it, she says, and comes up with
possible scenarios and costumes. Striped suits and
straw hats and canes. No. White ties and tails. No.
Mike ducks for the kitchen, and Lucy tries to guilt
Sonny into it, but he reminds her he writes checks,
he doesn't dance.
The conversation moves from the aids fund raiser
to drugs, to Brenda's addiction. As Sonny gets up
to go talk to the entering Jason, she teases him
to reconsider.

Jason tells Sonny A) that Stefan knows the club will
be packed tonight, and Luke's house will be empty
(hint, hint) and B) Dorman was being his usual low-
life self. Sonny then freaked out Jason by telling him
his theory about Dorman and the drugs. The two rehash
facts past and present, and Jason, for at least the third
time, threatens to kill the evil doctor. He was ready
to go do it at that moment, but Sonny calmed him
down and explained that first, they had to stop the
pipeline, then "Dorman can meet with any accident you
want." Jason gets up to leave, but Sonny follows him
outside and reminds Jason that he's not the borg he
was a year ago, and that he can't let his
personal feelings get in the way of the operation

Kevin wandered in to see Lucy.
Lucy: Did the dry cleaning come?
Kevin: Why?
Lucy: There's a big concert tonight.
Kevin: God bless the home of the lightning non-sequiter.

Luce was basically in a tizzy between the show and planning
the Nurses' Ball; after letting out a stream of god-knows-what,
she ran off to get him a bagel. When she returned, she overheard
the tail end of a phone conversation that had Kevin saying,
"I know what's going on. After all, we've been through this
before, haven't we."

Hospital

Emily tells a visiting Tony and Bobbie that she's
not looking forward to returning to the Q house,
but would like to see Matt. Tony and Bobbie
look uneasy and attempt some pepping. Tony gives
a small speech on the dangers of heroin, and
tells Em how important she is to Alan
and Monica; he knows first hand what it's like
to lose a daughter. He and Bobbie share A Significant
Glance, both thinking about their loss of BJ.

Outside her room,
the Q's and Alice are having a pow-wow. Alan
commands that know one is to tell Emily about
Matt's death yet. When Alice made her way into
Emily's room, the girl rejected the sight of her.
Undeterred, Alice left her number, in case Em
changed her mind about talking.

Stefan interrupted Katherine's PT session, claiming
PR emergency. Before he can get a word in, Kat tells
him they are kaput, as of now. What, because Bobbie's
back? he asks. No, she says, because of Nik's suspicions.
She doesn't want to be responsible for him losing
the security of his home (and his crush on her), then boots
Stefan from the room and starts pushing her PT schedule
into overdrive, newly determined to be responsible
for her own recovery.

In the Steve Hardy library, Bobbie comes in and quizzes
Alexis about The Egg. (Yup, you read it here: Bobbie finally
made it in to the Clue Shop!) When Alexis tried to give
her a runaround, Bobbie wasn't buying it - she wanted
to know why her husband turned into a maniac over the
thing. Alexis offered up the idea of a Cassadine heirloom
hanging out on the Spencer kitchen table being enough
to drive him insane, but Bobbie still figured there had
to be more to it than that, and left as Ned entered.

He and Alexis bantered about Em's counselor, the
difficulty of handling direct questions, their triumph
of keeping Emily's troubles out of the papers, and what
a great team they made, until Stefan came by.

Alexis tells him that she still hasn't located Nik,
and now Bobbie's asking questions about the egg.
With Luke's taunting still on his mind, he commands
Alexis to back off. "I will handle my wife," he says,
"and everything else from here on in. You've had too
much responsibility while I've been distracted. No
more."

Emily dials up Matt and gets his mom, who bitterly
informs her of her friend's o.d., and then accuses Emily
of being the one who turned Matt on to drugs. "You killed
my little boy, you tramp," she says and hangs up.
Dorman walks in and starts trying to comfort the
distraught girl.

Carly swings by the nurses' station and isn't thrilled
to see Tony and Bobbie hanging out again; while she's
busy gawking, AJ sneaks up behind her and sniffs. "I
recognize the perfume," he says. "Maybe soon the whole
night'll come back to me." He darts back out and Carly
looks worried.

Katherine wheels by the station; she and Stefan share A
Glance, she continues on her way, Stefan splits, Alexis
follows, and Bobbie looks on, *pouting.*
