Sorry this is SOOO late...

General Hospital Update for Tuesday April 22, 1997.

Open with Tony and Carly reminiscing about hot chocolate and their
times at the Jones family Cabin. They discuss their fight, Carly
apologizes profusely, Tony doesn't. Tony says he realizes how
attached he is to his "Carly Girl" and says to her that "nothing
happened that can't be undone". Carly apparently doesn't see it the
same way.

At the Bucket O' Blood, oh no wait, wrong soap - at Jake's AJ wakes up
obviously in pain from his hangover. Camera pans to a picture of him
and Jason.

Sonny and Luke are in the office at Luke's Club discussing the
terrible job Mike has been doing on the books. Sonny agrees to do it
while he's waiting for Jason who is apparently late. Sonny tells Luke
that he's watching Dorman and might get a little carried away. A
discussion abut why Sonny thinks that Dorman is the one smuggling in
the heroin and the one who tried to kill Sonny at the hospital. Sonny
says that if anything mysterious should happen to Dorman they need to
be sure that Jason has an alibi since he's been quite public with his
intimidation of Dorman and would likely be the #1 suspect. But Sonny
says he doesn't want anything to happen to Dorman, at least not until
he finds out who he's working with because that person is in major
violation of an agreement.

At the Hospital Jax and Ned are talking and Ned is freaking out about
not being there for Emily when she needed him. Jax tries to assure
him that it wasn't his fault and Ned thanks him. Alan and Monica
arrive in a rush and tells them they're running some tests right now,
but that she was taking drugs. Dorman then walks up and makes some
rude comments about Alan and Monica's parenting skills and when they
threaten to remove him he points out that he's the only doctor on duty
and that there are just some things even Q's can't fix. Jax pipes in
that he's not a Q and that if Dorman doesn't start behaving
professionally he'll, uh, I forget - take care of him or the Jacks
equivalent thereof.

Monica starts ranting about how could Emily be using heroin, why would
she do this. She thanks Jax for his help and he tells her that it was
mostly Jason's doing. Pan to Jason in front of Emily's room, looking
like a distraught pit bull outside his dying master's hospital room.
Alan and Monica look forlornly at Jason; Alan excuses himself to go
find Tony.

Back at Luke's, Luke is asking Sonny why he's so sure that Dorman is
the one who tried to kill him. Sonny tells him about how he saw
Dorman and his apparent "mule" at the airport when Miranduh (I though
she was leaving soon btw??) went to Australia. Sonny says he also saw
Dorman get bitched by Tony way back when (the original Dorman) he
refused to treat Stone because he had AIDS. (so does this mean that
Sonny thinks this is about revenge? I was kinda lost there.) They
discuss how Harry was Dorman's dupe and how Sonny figured that out -
by overhearing the phone call from Dorman to Harry in the cave when
Harry taunted Dorman with the fact that it looked like he got dumped
again. Sonny says that Dorman follows a pattern of accusing his
enemies of doing what he's actually doing - i.e. Monica and sexual
harassment and Sonny and drugs. Luke asks Sonny why he was doing so
much work the D.A. - Sonny says that with Harry gone, Dorman can't
sell his product so he no doubt owes somebody in South America a lot
of money and sooner or later that person is going to come after
Dorman. And then, Sonny can find out who is violating their
agreement. Once that mission is accomplished, Sonny says Dorman can
go to prison or Hell, he doesn't care which. Luke suggests that he
just take care of him now, like he should've done with Stefan cause
look at what a mess that has become. (I love Luke's reasoning - a
truly unique individual he is!) Sonny points out that if Dorman meets
with an untimely death the cops are going to go right for Jason and he
doesn't want to put Jason or Robin through that.

Next we see Ned on a payphone (what he got left out of the great Cell
phone distribution apparently going on in P.C.??) telling Edward that
it looks like Emily is going to be OK and to tell Grandmother not to
worry. Brenda walks up to Ned and he tells her about Emily's
situation. Brenda advises Ned to just love her through this and not
worry about what he could've done before. Jax walks up and Brenda
says that it was a good thing he was at the Q mansion that night. Ned
says it's funny how those things work out. Jax says "So do you want
to tell her or should I?". Ned says "I guess that means the terms of
the deal are in still in place." Jax tells Brenda that he's back on
the ELQ board, the same way he left - by blackmail.

Back at love nest central, Tony ahs made French Toast for breakfast.
It seems that Carly used to order it all the time on the way to the
cabin. (I thought for sure we'd be in for a cabin trip this week, but
it seems not.) They talk about how things were so much easier then,
before they went public and had to deal with all the dissenters.
Carly says that things have gotten ugly but that's the way it is and
she needs to find a better way of coping with them. She suggests Tony
spend some time with Lucas because she ahs an errand to run at City
Hall. They decide to meet up later.

AJ stumbles down to the bar and orders a little hair of the dog.
Alas, the bartender informs him that the bar won't be opening up for
about an hour. AJ apparently decides to take a little cat nap at the
table while he waits.

Back at Luke's, Luke is still trying to figure out why Sony doesn't
just take care of Dorman. Sonny says that a car accident is sounding
better and better but that he first needs to find out who his supplier
is. Luke says he has friends at the airport that could probably track
down the flight he saw Dorman pick his mule up from. They brainstorm
a bit on the date and time of the flight, and Sonny even remembers the
gate. Luke calls his source, a one-legged red-head, tells her it's
Luke calling. Spencer.

At the Hospital Dorman is bitching Monica out for being negligent and
Jason comes to the rescue. Monica thanks him, he thinks for running
Dorman off, but she clarifies that she meant mostly for saving Emily.
He tells her that HER SON saved Emily because he learned CPR. Monica
says that HE actually it was Jason Morgan, that Emily needed him and
he was there for her.

Luke has tracked down the flight, apparently came from Caracas. Sonny
gets a call from Jason and he fills him in on the Emily situation.
Sonny tells Luke and Luke worries about how Lucky will take the news.
He tells Sonny to kill the bastard NOW. Luke and Sonny reminisce
about Emily, Sonny says she's afraid of him. Luke tells Sonny to
take care of this situation, or he will. As Sonny leaves, Tony walks
in and announces that he won't be running interference where Bobbie is
concerned anymore.

Carly is frantically trying to get hold of AJ. She imagines a
conversation between he and Jason, where AJ asks Jason why he didn't
hook him up with Carly before!

Cut to Alan and Monica, Monica is beating herself up for not seeing
the signs of Emily's drug abuse. "Not only is she a bad parent, but
she couldn't even get her a decent doctor." Alan just sits next to
her looking distraught while Monica retraces the warning signs that
they ignored. She prays for one more chance to be a good Mother to
Paige's daughter.

Ned is at Emily's bedside and Amy kicks him out to run more tests on
her. Ned says he'll go find Alan and Monica.

Jax and Brenda have a heart to heart - and head to head - conversation
about Emily which segues into how she's doing with her drug abuse.
She thanks him for telling her the truth and Jax tells her that he
thinks she's incredibly brave and that he won't keep anything from
her ever again. Guilty look comes over her face. He tells her the
story of how he got back on the board. They get closer and he tells
her that there's never really been anything he wanted and didn't get.
Before they kiss he pulls away saying he doesn't want to push her into
anything she's not ready for.

Tony calls the hospital from Luke's office. Tony suggests that Luke
should spend more time with Lucky than pursuing evil Cassadine's. He
tells Luke that he will always care for Bobbie, but that he has a
commitment to Carly.

Alan and Monica are with Emily when she starts to wake up. Dorman is
trying to tell them what to expect and they kick him out of the room.
Emily wakes up and when she apparently realizes what has happened she
starts to cry. Monica assures that everything is going to be fine.

Ned walks up, says to Jason that he was worried Emily would wake up
like he did, not remembering anyone. Then he says that she might be
better off if that was the case. Jason says that it's very hard not to
know anyone. Ned says that he feels so bad that even though he
promised not to let anyone down like he did Jason, he let Emily down,
for the good of the family. And he says, what good is a family that
puts a little girl in the hospital from doing heroin.

Brenda is talking to Jax about how she is worried that she could be
responsible for Emily feeling so down that she would try drugs.
Brenda says that Emily probably thought she'd found the magic solution
to unhappiness, to make all the hurt go away. And that Brenda still
wants that solution. They hug and Jax asks if Brenda has to go
through this alone. Sonny walks into the area. He and Brenda
exchange their usual smoldering glances.

Luke and Tony are still going at it over rescuing Bobbie from Stefan.
Tony tells Luke that he needs to concentrate on his own life now, that
he loves Carly.

AJ is passed out, excuse me - napping, at the table and the bartended
brings him a shot of vodka, just then Carly walks in.
