From: djmaryb@mindspring.com (mary b) Subject: GH: Update Wednesday 4/9 Date: Sun, 13 Apr 1997 16:55:08 -0500 GH Update Wednesday, 4/9 Lighthouse Kevin returned from England, er, Arizona, to find Lucy sobbing on the couch, watching a new video of Serena, her surrogate child. Lucy was surprised and happy to see him back so soon from the "software convention." Dorman's Jason broke in, but didn't gain any intelligence before Dorman returned home. Dorman, otoh, knew right away that someone was sitting in his chair. When Pierce searched his place, Jason laid low in the closet and avoided notice. Katybell's Stefan dropped in for an early visit, complete with coffee and a dozen or more bagels, (note: in that wheelchair, they'll go straight to her butt.) and a laptop to complete Katherine's end of their secret, new IRC channel. Katherine turned around 180 degrees since last Wed; today, she was, by turns, coy, demur, and cautious about their upcoming affair, and worrying about who would get hurt. Their scenes today were mostly spent tap-dancing around the issue. Luke's Sonny's spies tip him off about Katherine's visitor, while Luke & Mike debated various aspects of the duo's relationship (Boy meets girl, boy shoots girl, boy hires girl to take care of his PR needs). Fun, timely moment: Luke speculated that S & K could be "playing nasty with the chair," and Mike pointed out the difficulty with Katherine's paralysis. Just last week, it was in the papers about the "female orgasm chemical" not needing flank power to work. Lighthouse Lucy showed Kevin the Serena video; Kevin treated her wonderfully - very supportive, patient, said all the right things, even went so far as to say what a great mother Lucy would make. Then she switched her focus to the present and her Doc's needs, which had nothing to do with food or sleep. Today's version of "Is that a pistol in your pocket or are you just gald to see me?" came out as "Why would you need a passport to go to Arizona?" Kevin bluffed and said he used it for a side trip to Mexico (Updater's question: Do you really need one for that?), then got back to business. Dorman's Dorman received another Q visitor, this one knocked. AJ came in with a brief case and an offer of 250K if he'd leave town with it. At his most obnoxiously charming, or most charmingly obnoxious, Dorman roasted AJ for a good while before declining the offer. Young Q didn't want to let the matter drop, though, until Dorman whipped a gun out on him. Throughout all of this, Jason was still in the closet, prepared to rescue his bro if necessary. AJ got wise and left. After dispatching AJ, Dorman stepped into some deep, dark, mysterious part of his apartment, which gave Jason a quick opportunity to split. Katherine's S & K tap-danced some more. Luke's Jason was found, and after he told Sonny what he'd been up to, got a lecture on safety. When Jason explained that he was trying to find the connection between Dorman and Rebecca Chase, wheels began to turn in Sonny's head. He remembered the nurse in GH that led him to the room where he was shot up with smack; light bulbs were seen and heard popping. Dorman's A mysterious caller rang, whom Pierce wasn't thrilled to talk to from his home phone. More drug business. Who, oh who, could it have been? Someone who was trying to be helpful, but Dorman had his own plans for distribution. Whoever it was, was Dorman's money person, and an itchy- for-reimbursement-one at that. After hanging up, Dorman saw his desk papers had been upset and got more paranoid. Lighthouse Lucy snuck back downstairs and checked Kevin's recently UK-stamped passport. He was right behind her and still frisky. Luke's AJ showed up and ordered a shot of vodka. Jason told him that he heard everything at Dorman's, and ordered him to steer clear. Katherine's The talk moved to Kate's medical condition; Stefan pointed out the parallel bars in her living room, and talked her into giving it a go. After he tenderly lifted her to the bars, she planted her Kenneth Cole's and HAVE MERCY! Slid one foot in front of the other. Sighs and smiles capped the day. mary djmaryb@mindspring.com FAC Bobby's Trust Fund, FGCO Duke & Anna, FGC Luke, MHGC Stefan, FOC Kelly, Keeper of the Hopefully Returning Je Ne Sais Quoi, PBSDT
