                            GH Update for 04/04/97

Scene 1
Jax tells Justus that Tracy Q's new husband is a mob crime boss, but Justus is
still unclear about what Jax wants with him.
Scene 2
Robin visits Brenda who's living the nun's life in a hotel room.  Robin asks if
Brenda has told Sonny she's not living with Jax; Brenda says no.
Scene 3
Jason tells Sonny and Mike that Taggert was once arrested by a cop named
Timothy Deacon aka Deke when he was 14, and Taggert later worked in the same
precinct as Deke. Sonny immediately has Jason setup a meeting with Taggert
alone on the docks to straighten it out.
Scene 4
Bobbie comes to Tony's love nest and finds Luke there. She asks Tony to take
Lucas while she goes out of town.
Scene 5
Jax wants Justus help him get proof of Sonny's mob involvement to go with the
dirt on Tracy's husband. Justus doesn't say no but expresses reluctance to hurt
ELQ.
Scene 6
Bobbie wants Luke to apologize for what he said about Stephan and Katherine,
instead he just says he's sorry about fighting with Bobbie.  As she leaves,
Justus arrives to tell Tony about a recent court case that might help his
custody suit, but Tony indicates he's been rethinking taking Lucas from his
mother.
Scene 7
More Brenda and Robin [Dull and Duller] drug drivel. [Please, GH writers, spare
us Brenda using the phrase "figure out who I am" one more time.]
Scene 8
Sonny meets Taggert on the docks, and they talk about how Deke died.  Taggert
accuses Sonny of killing or having him killed.  He tells Sonny the story of how
Deke helped him get out of jail and go straight. Sonny counters angrily that
Deke only taught Taggert how to use his badge to bully people like he did.
Scene 9
Brenda calls Jax, and the chit-chat about her pill-popping.
Scene 10
After exchanging more heated words about Deke, Taggert again accuses Sonny of
being a pusher, pimp, and murderer and swears he'll make Sonny pay soon.
Scene 11
Jason and Mike banter about Robin's plans for the evening. Mike asks what Jason
knows about Deke. When Jason says not much, Mike tells him how he walked out on
Sonny's mother, and she married Deke who beat them.  Mike feels that childhood
abuse resulted in much of Sonny's character.  Robin arrives, and says she has a
surprise evening set up for Jason.
Scene 12
Tony says he wants to back off the custody suit. Luke questions his judgment
and wonders what Carly will think. "You want me to give you advice about
Laura?" Tony replies, but smiling Luke quickly declines the offer, wishes him a
happy birthday, and leaves. Afterwards, Tony calls Katy and tells her Carly
will be away, and since Bobbie is out of town, and he'll need to be with Lucas,
they'll need to reschedule their appointment. "No, problem," she veritably
chortled.
Scene 13
Stephan and Bobbie say their goodbyes before her trip.
Scene 14
Miranda like some emotional carrion bird sensing a morally hobbled animal shows
up to see Jax.
Scene 15
Brenda arrives at Sonny's, but only Mike is there.
Scene 16
Sonny tells Taggert he has an iron clad alibi for the night Deke was killed. He
was having dinner with the whole Cerullo family. Taggert tries unsuccessfully
to provoke Sonny by physically pushing him but then starts saying Deke told him
Sonny abused his mother and asks if he did the same to Lily. Sonny begins to
get a glazed look in his eyes.
