Quick and dirty update for Tuesday March 25, 1997 -

The show opens with Lucy coming downstairs (wickedly cool leopard
print platform heels in hand) to find Kevin in front of his easel, and
complains that he’s been up all night painting again.  She asks him if
she can see it and with some reluctance he agrees.  Lucy gasps when
she looks at the canvas.

Next we see Alexis working as Nikolas enters the room, at Windemere.
He says he’s going to visit Katherine and Alexis expresses her concern
that he is getting too involved with her.

Cut to Bobbie’s hospital room with Tony at her side.  He tells her
she’s fine except for some smoke inhalation and the scratchy throat it
caused.   She wishes him a happy birthday and he says something to the
effect of, of course YOU’D remember.

Then Luke and Carly come rushing in and Audrey tells them the whole
story.  Tony walks out of Bobbie’s room and Carly attacks him with a
hug and asks him if he’s really OK.  She offers to buy him breakfast.
As they’re walking away Tony asks Audrey if Stefan knows.  She tells
Tony that the housekeeper was called and Tony makes a snide remark
about why Stefan isn’t there with Bobbie.

Luke is sitting at Bobbie’s bedside watching her sleep.  She wakes up
and smiles at him, he says "Hi Baby Sister", and Stefan enters.

Back at Spoon Island, Alexis says she’s afraid Nikolas is taking too
much responsibility for Katherine having been shot in Spoon Island.
Then she tells him that Bobbie is worried and tells him how she went
looking for Leslie’s records when she got caught in the fire.  Nikolas
gets all upset because this is the first he’s heard of her accident
and storms out to see Bobbie.

At the Lighthouse Lucy is terrified of Kevin’s newest painting because
he’s painted her vision of him on ice with details she says she didn’t
share with him.  This turns into a big fight over Lucy not accepting
Kevin the way he is NOW.  Some mention is made of Kevin not accepting
how gifted he is, and he comments about the Psychic Friends Hotline.
(Was Brad Maule listening in that day I wonder?)   He says he better
get going so he’s not late for his first day of work and cuts Lucy off
before she can say anything on THAT topic.  Kevin goes upstairs and
Lucy dabs a finger full of sugar from the sugar bowl and then grabs
her coat and goes to see Gail.  At the Hospital she begs Gail to help
her figure out what’s going on with Kevin and says that she wants "her
Doc" back.

Back to Alexis at the table and Kevin wanders in the room.  She is, as
always it would seem, extremely glad to see him.  She thanks him for
the profile on Dorman, he says he’s glad she liked it.

Then we are treated to a scene of dueling rivals at Bobbie’s bedside.
Luke is telling Bobbie to trust her instincts, that she knows Stefan
is lying to her and that he was the cause of the fire.  Stefan looks
worried, genuine concern I’d say, probably more out of self
preservation than for Bobbie, but anyway…  Luke tells Bobbie not to
deny the truth, that he’s there with her, like always.  When Luke is
finished, Bobbie reaches out to Stefan.  Luke calls him a liar; tells
her she won’t be alone if she leaves him.  She tells Luke that Stefan
is her husband and that Luke doesn’t know Stefan like she does, blah
blah blah...   Stefan is told that Tony saved his wife’s life.

Outside Bobbie’s room Carly is fuming with jealousy over Bobbie.  Tony
goes in and kicks Luke out of the room after they exchange a few words
about what each of them feel is best for Bobbie.

Stefan asks Tony how he can repay him for saving Bobbie’s life - Tony
says matter of factly "I don’t know" .  (I thought that was pretty
funny myself!)

Stefan and Bobbie have a frank talk about her not trusting him.  She
says she does trust him but that she knows he’s not telling her the
whole truth and that she doesn’t need to be protected.  He swears that
he didn’t start the fire.

Carly and Luke are having their usual "destroy Carly’s ½ ounce of self
esteem" chat but Luke tells her that her "brain cells come from good
stock".

Back in Bobbie’s room, her hoarse voice has returned to normal,
Nikolas comes rushing in.  They exchange small talk about what
happened and then Nik tells "General Jones" that she finally needs
someone to take care of her and that he’s glad to do the job.

Alexis fills Kevin in on Bobbie’s accident, by way of explaining why
Stefan isn’t there for his appointment with Kevin.  She says that
Stefan will keep Kevin busy, Kevin says he looks forward to that.  He
wonders why Stefan gave him a second chance.  Alexis says that Stefan
is big on giving people second chances cause he never got one.  They
discuss the "Family" issues, and Kevin tells Alexis that it’s the
second anniversary of Ryan’s death.  Kevin leaves and says he’ll call
Stefan later.

Back at the hospital Lucy is begging Gail for help with Kevin.  Lucy
goes on and on finally reaching the conclusion that she wants her old
Doc back and for things to be the way they were before his breakdown.
Gail warns Lucy to stay strong because Kevin depends on her.  Lucy
says she feels like she needs to protect herself from getting hurt,
that she’s afraid he might replace her after she’s helped him get
better.  Gail suggests they go to couple counseling to help deal with
the relationship as it is now and move on from the way it was before.
Lucy hems and haws a bit, but agrees to talk to Kevin about it.

Back in the hall Luke is pushing Carly for dirt on what the
relationship is with Nik and Katherine.  Carly says there’s nothing
going on there and points out for the 80th time that Katherine is in a
wheel chair and therefore is incapable of having a relationship of any
kind with a man…  (insert a tad of sarcasm there) Tony walks up and
Carly asks him to go to dinner with her (isn’t it still morning?) and
he shuts her down cold, telling her to go home that he has to stay at
the hospital.

Nik comes out of Bobbie’s room where Carly is STILL standing and tells
her that Bobbie is fine and how great Bobbie is and how much she means
to him.  Carly of course is pleased as punch to hear this news.

Bobbie tells Tony that she is grateful to him for saving her life.
Tony says that he thinks Stefan put her in danger and that he’s
concerned for her safety. Tony asks Bobbie if she’s having second
thoughts about marrying Stefan.

Next we see Amy walking down the hall with Stefan, reading off all the
meals that he is having catered and brought in for Bobbie and the
flowers that he’s having sent.  Amy comments that Bobbie really hit
the jackpot when she found a "A husband that buys her lots of stuff."
Luke walks by and chimes in with "Who said money can’t buy you love."

At the Lighthouse Lucy comes rushing in and apologizes for being
insensitive earlier and says that she knows she needs to accept him
for who he is now.  Then she starts babbling on about how SHE came up
with this great idea in her very own mind that couple counseling would
be good for them.  Kevin replies calmly that it could be good, then
turning angry - because they are keeping secrets from each other and
he holds up the letter she wrote to Oxford that got returned in the
mail.

Back at Spoon Island we see Alexis reading over a contract when the
phone rings.  She answers it and then with alarm in her voice says
"Are you all right?" and asks why the person is calling her there, she
said to call there only in an emergency.

At the hospital, Stefan hands Luke a printout of the directory tree of
the GH mainframe and tells him that there are copies on disk of all
the files that were destroyed in the fire so that proves that Stefan
had no motive in setting it.  Luke of course doesn’t look convinced.
He goes to the pay phones and calls "Bennie" to find out if Stefan
could’ve manipulated the Mainframe.  Apparently Bennie said yes and
Luke throws the paper away as he gets into the elevator.
