GENERAL HOSPITAL UPDATE THURSDAY MARCH 20

Boring, Boring, Boring...

1. Sonny goes to the door, it's Mike.  "Hey."  Mike tells Sonny it's no
good always expecting Brenda to be at the door.  Sonny tells Mike about
Brenda's pill addiction.  Mike says: "People need to stop for themselves."
Mike thinks Sonny should call Brenda.

2.  Jax comes in, Brenda isn't there.  She's "been for a walk."  She's
having a hard time.  The phone rings.  Brenda goes into the bathroom with her
bag.  It's a pregnancy test.  Jax panics, hearing her on the phone (?!)
asking the company if their test is reliable.  "No, Mrs. Jax, we sell
soap opera tests so that drama will be punched up in the next months.
They are guaranteed UNreliable!"  Jax threatens to break down the door.
Brenda hides the test, and lies that she's ordering dinner.  When he
leaves, she's delighted that the test is [false, no doubt] negative.  I
got the idea it was more so she could have a pill [what do you know, she
has those, too!] than because she didn't want a baby.  Jax apologizes for
suspecting Brenda, leaves to do some work, and Brenda contemplates the pills.

3. Lucas is incredibly rude to Carly, Tony tries to talk to him but the
phone keeps ringing, Carly is upset too, but Tony doesn't pick up on that.

4. Bobbie hits the showers.  No, it's the archive room at the hospital,
but Audrey tells her that Stefan ordered all the archives moved to a
warehouse.  Audrey is vaguely suspicious of Stefan, because her Golden
Boy (Tom) hates him.  Audrey asks if Bobbie is having second thoughts.
Bobbie Widens Her Eyes.

5.  Stefan is on the phone with Katherine who can feel her leg.  Stefan
wants to call Tony, and wants to Stand By His Woman (Oh, wait!  She's NOT
his woman!) but Katherine says no.  Miranda comes in.  Meanwhile, Alexis
is looking for Stefan.  She hasn't found out much about Mirander before
she was married to Jax.  They have The Talk (about how dangerous it is to
keep hanging around Katherine) Yet Again, even though Alexis had promised
not to bring it up again.  Alexis writes a mysterious letter about Stefan
and about how eager she is to see the person again.

Miranda calls Tony, but he's dealing with the Lucas-Carly fight so calls
the hospital.  Miranda asks about the leg, and is thinking of getting out
of town herself.  Dr. Dorman comes, and Miranda thinks they've met before.

6.  Emily is staring at her homework when Ned comes in, looking for
Lila.  "Tea with Grandmother is calming.  She's like an island in the
middle of the family.  When you're with her you think maybe the next bad
thing won't happen."  Ned asks if Emily just worries about "the next bad
thing."  Emily feels like she fits right in with the Lyin' Quartermaines
now.  She just wants to help A.J.
