From: amberm@powergrid.com (Amber Mellano) Subject: GH: Update Tuesday March 11, 1997 Date: Wed, 12 Mar 1997 22:54:02 GMT Sorry so late! Update for Tuesday March 11, 1997 The show opens in the lobby/foyer of the Q Mansion with Edward bellowing about Monica having called a family meeting to apologize for the Dorman situation. Alexis arrives and is sent to the living room to confer with Monica. Keesha and Justus arrive, Keesha comments that AJ isn’t there and Justus says he’s probably busy with City Counsel business. Next we see Alexis and Monica discussing the outcome of the trial. Alexis is telling Monica that Edward attempted to bribe the judge, and when rebuffed by the Judge, Edward offered in his defense that that was the way Q’s did things. Alexis points out that this did very little to win the favor of the Judge. Then Ned walks in and Alexis receives a very chilly response to her hello. Then AJ comes stumbling in the front door. Then we are treated to some ever exciting SIDAR time. Brenda thanks Jax for saving her life, he quotes back their deal of "nobody leaves" to her… Mike thanks him for saving Sonny’s life, Jax says well, he saved Brenda’s life blah blah blah… The ground rumbles and Mac orders everyone to leave the area as the mine is near collapse. Mike and Jason hobble away with Sonny between them, staring intently at Brenda in front of him, being carried away by Jax. Brenda with an inanely sweet smile on her face, full of love and affection for Sonny, though apparently, quite content to be in Jax’s arms. Jason and Sonny talk about how they were able to track down their location. Taggert shows up to make some smart remarks about how convenient it is that Sonny is blaming Harry, who’s dead, for the drug traffic in Port Charles. Mac shoos Taggert away and tells Sonny not to antagonize him. Sonny says "my breathing antagonizes him" and Mac replies "Exactly.". While the paramedics tend to Jason, Sonny asks Jax how Brenda is doing and they agree that they are even on the life saving deal. And Jax points out to Sonny that "if you start to think you’re good for her, remember what happened here.". Cut to another exciting scene of AJ bashing by Alan, this time throwing what he did to Jason into the mix and Alan demands his car keys while refusing to let him attend the family meeting so as not to upset Monica. As AJ is leaving Keesha enters the hallway and asks Alan where he was going. Alan asks her not to go after him, but she goes anyway. In the living room Edward moans about how he has better things to do than hear Monica’s apology - when questioned as to what exactly it was that he had to do - he said he had a movie to watch. Lila then explains to Alexis that black and white movies make Edward feel "amorous"! Monica states that she intends to fight the verdict, and even though the Q’s are basically an evil bunch, she wouldn’t want anyone else to support her on this. Ned gives her a pat on the back and tells Alan he’s a lucky man. Ned wanders over to Justus at the wet bar. Justus remarks "Another fuzzy Q moment. But it was worth the price of admission." And then he adds "This train is pulling out." Ned comments how they know so little about what Justus does when he leaves the mansion. Justus says "funny isn’t it?" and walks away. Alexis confronts Ned on the icy reception he gave her earlier. He reads her the riot act about how she threw Monica’s case intentionally. Cut to Monica asking Alan where AJ was, then we see Keesha find AJ at the boathouse, drunk. He gives her the 1 or 2 drinks and I’m fine song and dance, she doesn’t buy it. Then she breaks into a chorus of how it’s all her fault and she should’ve done more to help and support him. AJ is being belligerent and rude and tells her how Alan knows about his drinking and has sworn him to silence so as not to upset his Mother and the rest of the family. Monica goes on about how proud she is of AJ. Cut to Alexis disabusing Ned of his current opinion about her legal performance. She claims that Rebecca Chase is what cost Monica the trial, and tells Ned about Edward bribing the judge - to which he responds "Oh no, he did that again?" and promises to keep Edward contained for the next trial. Everything is hunky dory with them now. Next we see Emily sitting on the couch emitting some serious teen attitude while braiding her hair. Alan and Monica say something parental to her and she remarks that "their real kids" weren’t there, but she was. Then when they comment on the "real kid" remark, she gets peeved for being considered a child and says that everyone should realize she’s a grown like AJ does, and stomps out of the room. Next we see Felicia with a sling on her arm filling out forms at ER in GH. Mac walks off the elevator and they have a strangely cheery and annoying conversation about how she broke her arm - something about wrestling with her girls and falling off the couch, ended up needing a few stitches. She says the girls are staying with Audrey and wants to know what Mac is doing for the next 24 hours cause she’s in the mood to "move". Then a nice ER nurse walks up and takes her paper work and advises to take "ah - said - ah - meta - feen" (as opposed to the way I thought it was pronounced - ah - seat - ah - metafin. Just being picky) The walking wounded, a.k.a. Sonny and Jason, are hanging out in the ER waiting room, strangely enough, waiting. Sonny is telling Jason, who’s anxious to just go home and get some sleep, that he has to stay for x-rays. Sonny says he is waiting until Brenda gets there and wants to make sure she tells a Doctor about her addiction to pain killers. Sonny asks Jason what made him agree to help the cops find them when he told Jason to stay away. Jason says that Mike convinced him to do it. Mike walks up, obviously in paternal panic mode, ranting that he can’t get a room for Sonny. Brenda is then wheeled in on a stretcher with Jax attached to her hand. She says she feels fine but that she has re-injured her hip. The nurse asks her if she’s taking any pain medication and she says she’s taking some sort I didn’t recognize - I thought she told Sonny in the cave that she was taking Vicodin. The nurse says they’ll want to take x-rays but needs to know if there’s any chance she might be pregnant. Jason goes to get stitches. Brenda is wheeled into a trauma room and sends Jax out to get her a drink. She then tells the nurse that if she is pregnant, it would be too soon to tell. Mike is still upset that Sonny can’t get his own room. He tells Sonny he has the feeling something happened between him and Brenda while they were trapped. Sonny says his none of his beeswax, but Mike says this is the first time he’s seen Sonny happy since Lily blew up. He warns Sonny that Brenda might not want the same thing, but Sonny tells him that she has always loved him, and that all it’s ever been about is time. (I didn’t quite get this?? Anyone??) Alexis is leaving the Q’s and tells Monica that it will be her pleasure to nail that creep Dorman to the wall. Reginald whispers to Alan that AJ’s car is in the driveway so he must not be far off. Upon seeing this little exchange, Ned guesses it’s about AJ and confronts Alan about it. When Ned finds out that Keesha went after AJ he says he’s going to go find her and make sure she doesn’t spill the beans. Alan reminds him that she hates Ned with a passion, but Ned goes off anyway, saying they have to protect Monica. Monica of course overhears this comment and asks what they are talking about. The camera then pans up the stairs to find Emily overhearing this whole conversation. Meanwhile Ned and Alan back pedal their way out of Monica’s question, saying they’re concerned about avoiding bad publicity. Then we go back to the Boathouse. Keesha says she won’t close her eyes to AJ’s problem even though she understands the temptation to shuffle it under the rug and pretend everything is A-OK. She goes on and no about how the Q’s take every precaution to prevent life from getting too far off the beaten path of normalcy. She trips on another bottle as she gets up to leave, and says that AJ has to stop this before he hurts himself or someone else. Then she conjectures about how bad Ned would’ve felt if he’d been drunk when he had the accident with Jason in the car, and how AJ wouldn’t want to end up like Ned now would he. Enter Ned, stage right… Next we see Mac and Felicia on their road trip. Felicia insisted on driving, even with a sling on her arm. She’s using some strange southern cowboy-ish accent to respond to Mac’s complaints about not letting him drive. They discuss the attractiveness of Mac and Kevin as women and then they hear sirens. Back at the hospital, Brenda tells Jax they’ve decided not to take x-rays but that they are admitting her over night for observation. Jax is staring at her with that lovesick puppy look and marvels at how he can’t believe he almost lost her. Mike comes in and Jax leaves. Brenda tells Mike that Sonny told her in the cave that he was glad Mike stuck around and that he loved him. Mike tells her that Sonny loves her. They hug and she starts to cry, enter Jax. Back to Mac and Felicia - it seems that Felicia feels that parking tickets are a bureaucratic tool used to harass taxpayers and therefore she refuses to pay the 50 or 60 outstanding tickets she has. AJ, Ned and Keesha have a nice little bonding moment where AJ says he’s sick of the whole scene and is going to leave and Ned tries to convince Keesha that AJ can’t be saved and wants her to be discreet about this situation. Keesha says "damned you!" to Ned and they all storm off. Next we see Emily enter the boathouse and pick up a half empty bottle of alcohol. She sniffs it. When Jax asks Brenda why she’s crying she says she’s feeling sentimental about Sonny telling Mike he loved him. She then reaches for Jax, still crying, saying she doesn’t know what’s wrong with her. (Well the rest of us do and we’re darned sick and tired of it too!!!) Jax says she’s just been through a terrible trauma and that she’s got every reason to feel upset. Sonny walks up to the windowed door and sees them hugging. And no scenes from tomorrow’s episode for some reason. And I am outttaa heeerrre….
