Daily Updates
Date: 03/03 10:56 AM From: John R. Andrews , jandrews@uic.edu >> The General Hospital Update for Friday Feb 28 1997 << Written By: Kathy Ellington You'll laugh, you'll cry...you'll kiss $3.00 goodbye! Jax and Miranda briefly explore each other's tonsils until Miranda calls a halt. They speculate about Brenda's actions and Jax says he's convinced she wouldn't run out on him w/o telling him in person. They examine Brenda's "farewell" letter again and Miranda notices a hidden message that spells "HELP"! In the catacombs, holding a gun on Sonny and Brenda, Harry is talking on his cell phone to Dorman. He tells the doc that he's ending their drug partner- ship. Dorman responds that it's not over until HE says it is, and he plans to file a sexual harrassment suit against Harry. Sonny starts working on the almost-unhinged Harry, playing cat-and-mouse with the old mobster about the past. Sonny talks about when Lily was killed; Harry becomes more agitated as Sonny continues to goad him. Harry becomes distracted and Sonny goes for the gun, yelling for Brenda to run away. She runs a short distance and looks back at the two men, struggling. She picks up something (rock, stick?) to hit Harry with and starts to go back. There's a shot. She screams "NO!" Lucky asks Luke to stop obsessing, if only momentarily, about the Cassadines because the kid is so sick of hearing about it. Lucky told Luke that Nik wants to visit Lesley. It seems clear that Lucky doesn't share Luke's all-encompass- ing paranoia about everything in their lives being a Cassadine plot of some kind. Tom and Nikolas argue about Lesley and what care she needs. Tom tells the kid that to help Lesley at all, they need to find out which drugs were used on her; Nik says he won't spy on his family. However, later on in the bat cave, Nik asks Bobbie about what drugs Lesley might have been given. They both speculate on Helena Cassadine's motives. Stef overhears and inquires archly, "why don't you ask me?" Nik tells them about visiting the Spencer house to confront Luke and Lucky but meeting Lesley instead, and how she responded to him. Stef is surprised that she recognized the kid. Nik and Stef argue about visiting Lesley. Nik wants to get to know his grandmother but Stef thinks the Spencers will use the relationship to hurt Nik, somehow. Bobbie warns Nik to beware of the Spencers because they lie and manipulate. Later on, At the Spencer house, Laura broods on her last conversation with Stefan and the threat he made to disclose her big, bad secret. She answers a knock at the door...it's Stefan! Jason delivered groceries to the nubily-bouncy Carly, who is still making excuses for not leaving the house. They talk and eventually she dumps on him about how much Bobbie upsets her. Jason points out that Carly's got the doc and that their relationship is solid, right? She's won the game so what's the problem? He almost convinces her to come to Luke's and play pool with him but she backs out and insists she has to stay home and cook dinner for Tony. At the hospital, Alan tells Monica that the judge has reached a decision in the sexual harrassment case. They leave for the courthouse. > end > end > send comments, questions, and flames to kathy@gundog.lbl.gov > end > end
