From: djmaryb@it'sanewtrendmindspring.com (mary b) Subject: GH: Update Wed. 2/26 Date: Fri, 28 Feb 1997 22:02:41 -0600 X-Server-Date: 1 Mar 1997 04:02:24 GMT Evening in Port Charles Spencer House L & L got cozy, with Laura being especially loving and appreciating of Luke's Lukeness, going on about how she couldn't imagine life without him, how great he's being with Leslie, etc. Luke: "I don't wanna look a gift bunny in the mouth, but, are you stroking me?" Laura mananged to divert him for a short time, but Luke was feeling introspective, and asking questions. After a flashback to Stefan's threat to reveal A Great Secret, Laura was temporarily saved by a cry from Lulu's direction. When she returned to the LR, Luke was watching a Brooke Shields laugh tracked sitcom. After some initial small talk (Laura made fun of B.S.'s hair - Luke chose not to throw stones), he knew something was up and asked her what she was afraid of. "Losing you," Laura replied, and Luke immediately picked up that whatever was on her mind had something to do with Stefan. Meanwhile, at the Jax's distinguished penthouse Jax found the faux Dear Jax note that Harry forced Brenda to write, high-tailed it to Miranda's and showed it to her. She more or less took the note at face value, but Jax refused to believe that Brenda would leave him this way. Knowing that Miranda had been spending time with Sonny, he wanted her to spill the topics of conversation and tell him what she knew that might shed light on the current situation. Miranda said she knew nothing, so he grabbed her and the two went to Mac's office. When they arrived, they were informed that Sonny had just been there (I'll get to that), so it was doubtful that Brenda was with Sonny. Jax surmised danger was afoot, and Mac put out an APB. At the courthouse In spite of her legal woes, Monica was bowled over to see Jason back in the courtroom (is it me, or is he looking less Borg- like these days?). Alan left the otherwise deserted room to give the two some time alone, which Monica mostly used to apologize for her present mess. Monica: "You must look at me as just a married woman that is having affairs with younger men and wishing them dead." Jason: "So." Just as they seemed to be making a connection, Dorman entered, sauntered to the table and began harrassing the two. Jason slammed Dorman's head to the table and threatened to break his (surgeon's) hands (note: two threats to Dorman's life and livelihood in two days). After Dorman swagged off, Monica flipped out at how calmly, how professionally Jason took him down, which, of course, flipped Jason out, so he left. As all this was happening, Alan and A.J. were in the hallowed court halls, and Alan was praising his son for turning his life around and becoming so repectable, in general. To wrap up his kudos, Alan hugged A.J., then backed off and demanded to see the flask he felt through the whelp's breast pocket. Sho' nuff, the younger Quartermaine was carrying and pulled out the booze. At this, Alan pulled a 180 and told A.J. to go ahead a wreck his life as much as he wanted to, so long as Monica wouldn't hear about it. Just after that, Monica came out of the courtroom, and the elder Q's left for home, leaving A.J. to slink back into the room and knock one back. The Perils of Brain-Dead; in the Catacombs(? City tunnels?) Harry vented his anger at Brenda for causing the death of his beloved, sainted Lily. Initially, when he call the appointed phone booth, Sonny wasn't there. (I'll get to that.) Harry: "You make him stupid." Harry: "You oughtta do something with your hair. Ya look like hell." Brenda suggested that Harry just go ahead and kill her, if he really wanted to punish Corinthos, but Harry has other plans. On the second try, Sonny is at the phone booth and Silver ordered him to go to "the storage place. The one you were always afraid to go into." Apparently, it's a short, small tunnel, with one entrance. Harry knew about Sonny's claustrophobia, and told Brenda as much. When Sonny arrived, the elder mobster pulled his gun on him and pushed him to Brenda's side. Noticing the bruises on her face, Sonny threateded to kill his former lackey. After some confrontation and discussion on just who was really responsible for Lily's passing to Canada, Harry promised the un-couple a slow and painful death. The Couple of the Day Award goes to... Sonny and Taggert. These two were so *on* in the scenes in the police precinct. Sonny took direction, via cell phone, from Harry who held Brenda hostage while Sonny was pent up in the sweaty interrogation room, with Taggert looking surprisingly uninterested in the conversation. When the phone call ended, Herr Commandant resumed riding the mobster, asking if that was Sonny's drug supplier on the phone, and being obnoxious in general, to the point that Sonny was ready to pop him. Sonny: "You are a police officer. You are supposed to protect the innocent instead of brutalizing them. You pick on the weak that can't hit back." For better or worse, the pair were broken up when Mac and Jason arrived. Mac admonished his co-worker for using his badge for a personal vendetta, and pleaded with Taggert to lay off what the commish considered a useless persuit, sticking a rap on Sonny. Taggert: "He can, and I will." Mac: "Then plant some drugs on him and get it over with." mary djmaryb@mindspring.com
