Andrews, UIC Scene 1 Alan pops more pills presumably due to his hand. Scene 2 Monica comes to talk to Emily. She assures her there are no more closeted skeletons waiting to testify. Scene 3 Dorman tells his lawyer that the trial is in the bag and hands him some papers. Scene 4 Sonny gives phone orders to find out about Taggert's background. Miranda arrives to talk to him. Scene 5 Brenda is flashing back to Sonny saying he loves her when Jax begins nuzzling her neck. When he offers her a million dollars for her thoughts, she remarks, "The wedding isn't going to work." Of course, she's talking about the security provisions Jax wants at the wedding. When he calls her on her "thinking about Sonny" look, she admits to wondering about Miranda having dinner with Sonny. Scene 6 When Sonny asks Miranda if she's going to fight for Jax, she asks about Brenda. Scene 7 Harry, looking at a magazine cover picture of Brenda, remarks that the bomb killed the wrong person, but that will be remedied soon. Scene 8 Edward whines to Alan about the bad ELQ PR Monica's trial is causing. Alan snaps that Ned didn't know he was related to Monica, but Edward cleverly counters that there was a famous Greek play with such similar plot, and it didn't turn out well. [For the literaturely-challenged, he's referring to "Oedipus Rex" a classic Greek tragedy whose tragi-hero Oedipus unknowingly kills his father and marries his mother. BTW, can you answer the riddle of the Sphinx as Oedipus did: What animal walks on four legs in the morning, two in the afternoon, and three in the evening?] Scene 9 Monica tries to explain things to Emily, but Emily does the teenage who cares anyway routine. She does, however, ask Monica to get her out of school for the day. When Monica leaves for court, Emily promptly calls Matt. Scene 10 Ned apologizes to Alan about the affair coming out again, but Alan doesn't feel the need to "talk it out" and just says drop it [It's a guy thing]. Scene 11 Dorman's lawyer says he doesn't like the new witness, but Dorman orders him to just do what he's told. Scene 12 Alexis tells Monica that Dorman has no more witnesses scheduled so maybe it will be over soon. Unfortunately, they call the new witness, and despite strenuous objections from Alexis, the judge agrees to hear the testimony. They call Rebecca Chase, a nurse at GH. Scene 13 Miranda wants to know about the trouble Brenda might be in since it may bring trouble to Jax. Scene 14 Back at home, Miranda calls Jax and says she needs to see him right away. He readily agrees as Brenda looks daggers at him. When he hangs, up she snaps at him about running to see Miranda. He replies it's the same with Sonny and her. Finally, they both start to wonder why they're even getting married. Scene 15 Mike questions Sonny about his lack of action in getting Brenda back Scene 16 Rebecca Chase begins her testimony by reading a glowing review Monica gave her and saying she felt Monica was a brilliant surgeon and generally good person until recently. Scene 17 Ned and Emily chat about Lois leaving and how sometimes it's necessary to have secrets and even tell a few lies. Matt walks in and interrupts. After Ned leaves, Emily pulls out a wad of bills she stole from Alan's wallet. Scene 18 Nurse Chase testifies that she overheard Monica and Dorman at GH. When she looked into the room, she saw Monica fondling Dorman and then threatening him. Scene 19 Mike continues to harp at Sonny about Brenda [give it a rest]. Scene 20 Brenda and Jax continue to bicker about Sonny and Miranda, but eventually they take a deep breath, back off, and play lovey-dovey again. As Jax leaves, she assures him she's not going out, but afterwards finds she's out of pills and heads right out. Scene 21 Ms. Chase further testifies that Monica refused to let Dorman break off their affair and told him it could cost him his job. Predictably, Monica jumped up denying everything. Scene 22 As Jax comes to meet Miranda, she immediately embraces and kisses him passionately. Scene 23 Meanwhile in Brenda's garage, an unguarded Brenda is grabbed from behind [the shirt cuff and link looked like Sonny's, though].
