From: pat@wesuckless.org (Pat Herman) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday, 2/19/97 Date: 26 Feb 1997 06:48:37 GMT General Hospital Update Wednesday, February 19, 1997 Today's Stories ** Lucy's Psychic Gift is Back ** ** Lesley Meets Another Grandchild ** ** Katherine's Going Home ** ** Carly's Staying Home ** ** Apology NOT Accepted ** ** Lucy's Psychic Gift is Back ** Lucy and Kevin are in the den at the lighthouse. They are discussing Kevin's job offer from Stefan, and Lucy's objection to it, when Lucy's attention is drawn to the drink in Kevin's hand. He's absent-mindedly swirling the liquid and ice cubes when Lucy suddenly has a vision. It appears to be Kevin, without a shirt, under ice. Kevin, not noticing that Lucy's mind is clearly on something else, continues with his reasons for taking the job. Lucy's vision ends, and she grabs Kevin. She tells him she's scared and says, "I saw you, dead!" Lucy explains her vision in detail. There was ice all around Kevin, and she could see his face. It was cold and lifeless. Then a shadow passed over him, and she knew it was Stefan. Kevin concedes that she must be frightened; however, he can't run his life according to her visions. She argues that her visions are real. "Not always," Kevin counters, and he reminds her of when they were supposed to go on vacation, and she had a vision that a hurricane was going to hit the island. As he recalls, the weather was beautiful that weekend. They continue to argue about the Cassadine's. Lucy tells Kevin about Luke's feelings toward that family, and she wants Kevin to talk to Luke, but Kevin's not having any of it. He's mad because she's discussed his plans with Luke. Kevin explains he's had his own vision. It's been of him sitting week after week with nothing to do. From his perspective, that's as bad as being dead. "I'm taking the job Lucy. I'm sorry if you're hurt," he tells her. She responds by telling him how everyone's been asking her if Kevin's changed since everything that's happened. She tells everyone that he's the same, but now she realizes that he has changed. He used to listen to what she had to say. Lucy's interrupted by a knock on the patio door and it's Alexis. As he goes to answer it, Kevin wonders why no one uses the doorbell anymore. As if Alexis heard the question, she comes in and says that she rang the doorbell in front, but apparently no one heard it so she came around the back. Lucy takes a rather cold attitude toward Alexis. Alexis explains that she wants to discuss Cassadine Incorporated business with Kevin, which does not make Lucy happy. Alexis tells Kevin that if he does accept the job offer, the Cassadine's need assurances that any information Kevin gathers will be confidential. Kevin will be expected to sign a contract, which will have a confidentiality clause. There will be severe penalties for breaking the contract. Lucy comments that that appears to be a bit excessive. Alexis responds by saying the family is very generous to it's employees. In return for that, the Cassadines get control. Kevin tell Alexis he will sign the contract. She'll have it drawn up immediately. Kevin adds that he will have a lawyer review it before he signs. Alexis leaves. Kevin tells Lucy to go ahead, tell him what's on her mind. She believes that since there's so much fine print, the Cassadine's must be up to something. She just doesn't know what it is. "I know" Kevin replies, "Wouldn't it be a kick if I were the one who found out." ** Lesley Meets Another Grandchild ** While Laura is at Wyndemere, Nicholas shows up at the Spencer's. Lucky is reluctant to let him in, but Nicholas isn't leaving. Luke tells Lucky to let him in so they can hear what he has to say. Nicholas tells Luke and Lucky that when he came to Port Charles he just wanted his mother's love and didn't care how the rest of them felt about him. He continues to describe how the Spencer's lie and scam and don't care who they hurt. At this point Lesley comes down and walks over to Nicholas. She just stands there and stares at him. Luke introduces Lesley to Nicholas. Lucky tries to get her to go upstairs, but Lesley speaks. She asks who the boy is. Lucky tries to tell her that he's nobody and again tries to get her to go with him, but she pulls away back to Nicholas. She looks at him and says he has a mouth like Laura. She turns to Luke and demands to know who he is. Nicholas tells her his name. Lesley says "And you are Laura's son." Nicholas confirms that he's her grandson. Lesley comments that all of Laura's children are strong and healthy. Nicholas decides it's time to leave, and Lesley doesn't understand why he's leaving. Lucky goes after Nicholas and tells him that Laura never wanted to leave him. Lucky tries to explain why Laura did what she did. He explains how Lesley has been hurting for a long time and tells Nicholas to think about it. Luke emphasizes to Lesley that Nicholas' name is Cassadine. He asks her about it wants to know what she remembers. The more Luke pushes about the Cassadine's, the more upset Lesley gets. Lucky comes back inside while Luke is pushing Lesley for answers. He tells Luke that she's not ready for this yet. Lesley then slips back into her catatonic state. The phone rings and it's Tony. He wants to talk to Luke about Stefan and who shot Katherine. ** Katherine's Going Home ** Standing outside Katherine's room, Bobbie remembers Luke's conversation about Katherine and Stefan, where he told her something's going on between the two of them. Katherine is just reaching in the drawer for the necklace that Stefan gave her when Bobbie enters. Bobbie tells Katherine she stopped by to say hello as well as to get some information general status report after her surgery. Bobbie does something remotely resembling taking Katherine's blood pressure, they starts asking some questions about her medication. She attempts to subtly ask if Katherine's remembered who shot her, by commenting that the medication can sometimes hinder the memory. Katherine states that she doesn't remember who shot her, and she's really not concentrating on it. Tony arrives and tells Katherine that she can go home soon. Tony marvels at her turnaround attitude and wants to know her secret. Tony reminds Katherine that she must keep up with her physical therapy when she's at home. She assures him that she is not giving up. Tony recommends that Carly be Katherine's physical therapist, and Katherine agrees to interview her. Katherine thanks Tony as he leaves. She tells Bobbie that she's going to send gifts to everyone who helped her out. "That includes my husband?" asks Bobbie. "Of course," replies Katy. Bobbie assures her that Stefan told her everything. Katherine wonders exactly what Stefan told Bobbie. She tells Bobbie that Stefan's meant a lot to her and that she wouldn't have gotten through it without him. Katherine relates how he showed up at night, was sensitive, caring and didn't want anything from her. She didn't know who he was until he finally told her one night. Bobbie says he thought it was his fault because she was shot on his property. Bobbie tells her that he gave her the same kind of support when she first met him. Bobbie leaves and runs into Tony in the hallway. He says it's strange that Katherine didn't say anything about remembering who shot her. Bobbie asks if she should have said Stefan, and Tony replies, "Only if it is." Bobbie tells him he should discuss this subject with someone else and walks away. Later, Nicholas visits Katherine and tells her about meeting Lesley. He tells her how much he hates the Spencer's, with the exception of Bobbie. Both of them are glad she's getting out of the hospital. He tells her he'll visit her at home. ** Carly's Staying Home ** At the apartment, Carly is busy planting bulbs. Tony is there and asks her to pick up a couple of things for him and hands her a list. She tells him she's planning to stay in today. Tony comments on what a gorgeous day it is and how she should get out and enjoy it. She's reluctant, but agrees to run the errands. As he goes to leave, he tells Carly how Bobbie was always planning on planting bulbs, but she's actually doing it. As Carly looks at Tony's list, she keeps hearing Luke voice. It when Luke was telling her she's Bobbie's daughter. She's also remembering when she was mistaken for a prostitute and almost attacked in the alley outside Jake's. She tries leave the apartment, but Tony's words come into her mind. She's remembering when he was explaining to her about Bobbie's past and how no one should be judging her for what she had to do to survive. Carly can't make herself go out the door and turns back inside. She picks up the phone and calls to have the items on Tony's list delivered. Tony arrives back at the apartment early than expected. He asks Carly why she didn't go out, but she kisses him to distract him. He tells her about possible job as Katherine's physical therapist. When Tony says it would be at Katherine's home, Carly becomes uncomfortable. Tony suggest that she go to the hospital right now and discuss the job with Katherine. He's going to take a nap because he's been worried about Lucas being with the man who shot Katherine. Carly asks if Stefan confessed. Tony replies that he didn't, but he suspects he the guilty party. Carly grabs her coat and heads out. ** Apology NOT Accepted ** Stefan wants to know why Laura show up at Wyndemere. "I came to say I'm sorry," she responds. She tells him she's sorry for deceiving both him and Nicholas, and she wants to explain why she did what she did. She tells him that she had to protect her mother. She goes on that she intended to stay away forever, but Stefan reminds her that she told Nicholas she was coming back. She argues that she was going to come back, for Nicholas. She informs him that she's staying in Port Charles to rebuild her life for ALL her children and her mother. Stefan finds this interesting. He informs her he is no longer interested in her or anyone in her family. Laura continues to tell Stefan about Lesley's progress. She tells him about Audrey's visit and that she's spoken. She's not communicating, but has lucid moments. Stefan's decided he's had enough of this conversation and wants to know what she really wants. Laura wants him to protect them from Helena. Stefan relates to her how he thought they had reached a new place and the 3 of them could build something. The night he took Laura to Lesley, he opened his heart to her. He thought her kiss was one of understanding, but she knew that it was really a kiss of farewell. "Like this," he says as he grabs her and kisses her. Laura pushes him away. He asks if she knew what it was like for him watching the building explode. She says she felt for him, but he doesn't believe her. He wanted to save her and rushed toward the building, but the 2nd explosion knocked him back. He asks her what would have happened to Nicholas if he was killed trying to save her when she wasn't even in danger. He believes she knew about the explosion, but she says she didn't, not exactly. She tells him there was a plan, but she didn't know what it was. He wants to know when the deception was first planned. He remembers the drugs on Nicholas, Luke and Laura's fake separation, and Luke's threat on his life. He tells her that she finally did the one thing that she knew would hurt him. She kissed him and died. "One more apology will not wipe away this betrayal," he tells her. Stefan goes through the list of all he's done for Laura while she's done nothing for him. She responds by saying that he's done everything that he did because he's wanted something back. She tells him he's become a monster. He's cruel and calculating. Suddenly, she stops. She came to make things better, not worse. Stefan informs her, in no uncertain terms, he has no forgiveness for her. Stefan tells Laura that he could never conquer his emotion of love for her, until now. He tells her that she will not get out of taking responsibility for what she's done. "You bastard," replies Laura just as Bobbie enters the room. THE END
