From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: The S-hits-the-F Update, Thursday Feb. 13 Date: Wed, 26 Feb 1997 18:37:19 GMT THE EXCREMENT HITS THE AIR-CIRCULATOR UPDATE, THURSDAY FEB 13 (There was a hostage crisis locally, as well as the one in Philadelphia, was it something in the water? Anyway, interruptions were minimal and I don't think I missed much.) 1. At Felicia's, Audrey tells Tom that he KNOWS his father taught him better than that. Tom argues. Felicia leaves to "check on the girls." Audrey and Tom argue about the Cassadines. Tom wants Audrey to see Lesley. They leave, and Bobbie comes in. Felicia reacts negatively to Maxie playing "Laura": "I'm dead! I'm alive again!" [Your Fearless Updater had a good laugh at this, but with Maxie's play last year thinking egging cars was great fun, I think Felicia should worry about her. She doesn't seem quite -- uh -- normal.] Felicia tells Bobbie she thinks she and Tom are breaking up. "If I can't have a man I can trust, then I don't want a man at all." 2. Back at the Spencers' The 5Ls come in. Laura never thought they would see the place again. She says it beats sleeping at the hospital. They explain to Lesley that this is home. Lucky is slightly accusatory to Luke. Apparently he's noticing the clay feet all of a sudden: "all that craziness, and here we are back where we started." Luke admits this wasn't the plan and apologizes to Laura for failing her. She points out they hurt a lot of people. Lucky calls Emily, who sluffs him off. Audrey comes in, quite angry with Laura. She talks to Lesley with Tom making annoying suggestions in the background. When she recalls when Laura had run off with Luke, "every mother's nightmare," Lesley has a flashback and says "I was so afraid for her." Then she retreats again. Audrey will come every day before work, and Laura will make her English muffins. Audrey starts to berate Luke, and Laura thinks maybe they should leave. Audrey and Tom argue on the porch, and Audrey tells Tom that Stefan didn't kill Steve. Laura, in fear, tells Luke she thinks they should stay. Luke is afraid of Stefan. [Right, that's why they spent last night at the hospital!] 3. Emily and Matt are hanging out watching the trial on TV. Matt thinks it's cool. He wonders who the surprise witness is, and Emily points out that he shouldn't be treating her life like a soap opera. Ned takes the stand. Alexis asks Monica what it's about. Monica says "we have to talk" but again, Alexis gets nowhere with the judge. AJ looks like he may not know the Ned story, was he around when it was disclosed before, or was he still at boarding school or detox? Kevin whispers to Alan: "Look at the feathers in the corners of Dorman's mouth: this must be pretty explosive." Meanwhile, Lois is telling Brooke how nice it will be to see her Daddy at the courthouse. Matt is fascinated, and Emily claims not to know or care. Graf, the sleazy attorney, brings out the affair between Ned and Monica, just as Lois comes into the courtroom. Emily looks thunderstruck, but since we know she already knew about this, it must be her realization of the hell school's going to be for her. Matt is almost comforting. As the testimony goes on, Lois leaves. Alexis brings out that Ned and Monica didn't know they were related. 4. Emily and Matt have gotten stoned. AJ has a deep swig from the never-empty flask. Alan gulps a handful of pain pills. And Ned confronts Lois, who is leaving. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe, member of SESIDAR Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional. jyarnot@netcom.com Putting the fun in "dysfunctional." http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5144/
