From: djmaryb@it'sanewtrendmindspring.com (mary b) Subject: GH: Update 1/29 Date: 31 Jan 1997 03:21:18 GMT Hope this isn't too long winded...it's my first update, be gentle with me. Early Morning: At the Outback Robin finally takes it upon herself to visit her Uncle Mack, and the show opens with the two of them at the bar with Felicia. Miranda wanders in, just back from her Buffalonian divorce. Mac introduces her as "Miranduuuuuhhhhhh...." and she tells Robin that she goes by the name Jamieson. Felicia pulls her new friend aside for some girl talk, tea, sympathy, sniping about Brenda, etc. Filly agrees with Miranda that there is unfinished business between S & B. <flashback="MirJaxcarsnuggle"> On the road, in the storm </flashback> Robin, still looking for a consensus on the next step of her HIV treatment ladder, discusses her plight with Mac. He is supportive, she is all but clinically depressed. "Let's just say that it was a lot easier being dead." - Miranda Early morning, GH Stefan is cradling Katherine at the window of her hospital room; together they watch the glorious sunrise and eventually he deposites her back on her bed. Katherine remarks on his old world charm and manners; he says nothing of her lip- smacking. She vows that the next time she's at the window, she'll want to be standing, and she wants Stefan there with her. <Updaters comment= "Ack"> Katybell and Stefan's mystical connection continues to deepen, and she ponders that regardless of all the well meaning well wishers (Robin & wheelchair woman, to be specific) who should have been able to motivate her to get off of her butt, "Why could you get through to me when no body else could? Why did you make me believe I could begin to walk again?" <updater's comment="Why, indeed?"> After more soothing words, he leaves. "See ya. Whoever you are." - Katherine Early morning, the Jacks' penthouse Jax returns from his punishing night on the road to find Sonny lounging on the penthouse living room sofa. He is less than ecstatic, and asks "I've got my divorce, is that enough reason to dismantle this triangle?" Many arguments ensue over A) Sonny's motives for spending the night, B) whether or not Brenda is truly in danger, and from whom and C) who will do any necessary protecting. Threats to take care of various persons fly around the room and Sonny leaves with the parting shot heard 'round the RATSA world: "About that triangle - you can't *count.*" Jax and Brenda pick up where Jax and Sonny left off. A brief summery: "I could have been in danger. Sonny was here to protect me" "Was not." "Was too." "Was not." "Was too." "Your bringing the book of poetry to Miranda was aggressive." "Was not." "Was too." "Was not." "Was too." The Outback, mid-morning. As Miranda is leaving to visit Katherine in the hospital, Audrey wanders in with a package for Tom, and mentions that she rarely sees him, he wasn't even at the hospital yesterday. (That's funny, Filly thinks, Tom called me from the hospital last night... or did he?) Tom returns from Luke's for breakfast table-chat, Audrey leaves. Felicia asks Tom how well he slept in the residents quarters. Tom lies and says "great" (more or less), then leaves. Felicia gets suspicious and tells Mac she thinks Tom might be getting some on the side. The cemetary, early-morning. An elderly gentleman (Harry the Spirit Guide!) is mourning at the late Mrs. Corinthos' grave, where he proclaims that it should instead be Mr. Corinthos' resting place (in not so many words). We know now that it was he who picked up the wedding band that Sonny buried in the snow; he's grasping it. <flashback="sonnylilywedding"> <flashback="sonnysdeparturearrangements"> <flashback="lilysdeparturearrangements"> <flashback="lilyfuneral"> Harry's feeling guilty </flashback> "Damn Sonny. And damn me." - Harry Silver Mid-morning, GH Miranda is amazed at Katherine's attitude adjustment, and wants an explanation. Katybell tells her of her mystery man. "Whatever works," says Miranda. As she wheels Katherine to physical therapy, Stefan lurks in the hall, turning towards the window. They do not notice him as they leave. The cemetary, mid-morning or "Lily receives another gentleman caller" Sonny, too, is feeling a pull towards his late wife's grave. In a scene that reminds us that he actually did care for her, he talks to his wife of how he feels responsible for her death, and doesn't want to be responsible for taking Brenda's life, as well. <flashback="carbomb"> The sound of footsteps sends Sonny whizzing around with pistol in hand; it's only a frustrated Tom Hardy, who wants his own life back. He tells Sonny that all of the arrangements are made to get the Spensers to Switzerland, where Leslie can recoup; he wants it done with, pronto. Mid-morning, the Jacks' penthouse "I'm sorry this hurts you, Brenda, it hurts me, too." "Does not." "Does so." "Does not." "Does so." Meanwhile, Harry the Spirit Guide lurks in the shadows on the street below the apartment. "Shoulda been you, Brenda...Sonny watched the wrong woman die." - Harry Fin mary djmaryb@mindspring.com FAC Bobby's Trust Fund, FGCO Duke & Anna, MHGC Stefan, FGC Luke, *SESIDAR*BLUF*and a BABE to boot! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "They talk of my drinking, but never of my thirst" - Scottish
