Sonny and Jason tried to figure out who was trying to kill Sonny and also
ruin his business...who can hate him that much?

Mike and Sonny argued, good-naturedly, about the club's accounts. Mike noted
that Sonny wasn't wearing his wedding ring and tried to pry Sonny for more
info. No luck.

Mac dropped into Luke's to warn Sonny that Taggart was gunning for him.
He also told the teensy terror that the police found Marilyn Cooper in
Rochester; she'd been dead for three weeks!

A.J. went to Luke's club to wish Jason a happy "first" birthday. They shared a
burger.

Jax and Brenda decided to get re-married in New Orleans. She also told him
that she was finished playing Nancy Drew to Sonny's Ned Nickerson. She
wanted to celebrate with hubby and do the Port Chuck night scene but he
begged off...seems he had a late-night appointment with Miranduh [now seen
on candy bar commercials] to hammer out the divorce arrangements. Brenda
was also unpleasantly surprised when Jax told her he wanted to give
Miranduh a monetary settlement.

In an anonymous room somewhere in town a gloved hand stuffed a note into an
envelope marked "Brenda"!

Jax left for Miranda's place and Brenda answered a knock at their penthouse
door. A big box of red roses laid on the doorstep. She smiled and arranged
them, believing that Jax had sent them. Jax phoned later and Brenda thanked
him for the flowers. He told her he didn't send them but could guess who her
"secret admirer" was, couldn't she? An angry Brenda slammed over to Luke's
club to have it out with Sonny and his presumed game-playing.

Mac gave Miranduh Lucy's apartment over the outback Club [didn't Dominique
OWN that apartment and give it to Lucy in perpetuity??]. Duh phoned Jax to
squeal girlishly about her new digs. Jax arrived in time to tote some books
and junk for Miranda.  Later on he found the old love letters and read one
of them. Another endlessly boring scene of sunwashed beaches ensued.

At the Q mansion Alan and Monica enjoyed a late lunch. Monica wanted to talk
to Emily about yesterday's birthday party fiasco. Emily eavesdropped from the
hallway but couldn't escape before Alan/Mon saw her. She proceeded to mouth
off to Monica, who tried to apologize for the aborted party. Finally [and
mercifully] Emily scuttled off to await Marijuana Matt.  Later on, A.J.
overheard Monica weeping to Alan about how much she missed Jason.
Predictably, A.J. fell off the wagon and into a pool of vodka...Emily saw
him take the drink.

Final scene, Jason was reunited with Robin at Luke's club. Robin and Sonny
had arranged for her to be with him on his birthday.
