Subject: GH Update, Tuesday, 1/14/97 Sent: 1/15/97 3:08 PM From: wendy.doucette@octel.com GH Update for Tuesday, 1/14/97 Today's Show: Chock-full of Perceptive Women Appearing: Lucy, Kevin, Gail Katherine, Mac, Felicia Bobbie, Stefan, Carly, Tony Also appearing: Audrey Scribe's Note: My sincerest condolences to the Monday reviewer, who got stuck with a Brenda/Jax/Miranda/Sonny show. I entered into today's show expecting more of the same, and was delivered by the comforting hand of fate. It could have been me, though, and I sympathise. ***************************************************** At the lighthouse, Lucy is still terrorized by Kevin's downstairs closet. She looks into the beguiling box again and finds Kevin's letters from his father. [For your enquiring mind, that would be Vincent Collins, Dept. of Math, Oxford University]. Kevin enters and knows something is up. At the hospital, Katherine reviews her Precious Moments Dream Collection and is mooning over her mystery man when Bobbie walks in. Audrey asks Stefan about increasing salary for some staff and he stops her cold. Stefan then asks Tony how Katherine is, and Tony stops *him* cold. Tony says Katherine's health is a private matter, neurology is over Stefan's head, and Stefan should go busy himself rearranging furniture, thus leaving Tony to attend to matters of surgery. Audrey says she hasn't seen Carly yet today. Carly is at home, hiding under a blanket and crying. She ignores Tony's message when he calls. <credits> Tony makes a patient wait so he can rush home to check on Carly. [Gee, what priorities. I wish he were *my* surgeon]. Stefan intercepts Mac bringing Katherine flowers to ask if Luke's been found. Mac, on the defensive, blows him off. (Strike Two for Stefan today). Stefan checks on a lady guest's plane's arrival. Katherine tells Bobbie about her new, supportive friend, who works nights. Katherine says there's little point to physical therapy, but, at Bobbie's urging, she'll try. Lucy gets Kevin into The Closet and babbles on about clothes, trying to get him to look at The Box. Kevin mentions the need to trim Lucy's burgeoning wardrobe, sending Lucy on a brief foray into The Freakout Zone. Kevin gives Lucy carte blanche to decorate and put up as many family pictures as she likes. When Lucy presses Kevin as to why he has no pictures of his father, Kevin blatantly changes the subject. Tony finds Carly on the couch, pats her on the head, and enters into The Self-Pity Zone, where Carly is undisputed Queen of the Realm. (Carly is retroactively upset over discovering she's the progeny of an unknown consorter-with-prostitutes.) Carly says everything else in Tony's life is more important than she is. Tony says they need to take responsibility for having caused this chain reaction. Carly says she's the hospital outcast, Tony says Bobbie is not Carly's enemy, and Carly slams the door in his face. At the cafeteria, Felicia brings Bobbie a thank-you present for last night's dinner (a leather passport cover for her many future travels). Felicia says it's obvious Stefan loves Bobbie [it is?], and they talk about how different Stefan and Tony are. Like Katherine, Bobbie says it's exciting not knowing everything about Stefan. Katherine says she loves Mac, but she can't make him happy. He'll never stop caring about her. They hug and kiss. [This does not look like any breakup I've ever encountered]. Katherine says she doesn't want to be rescued, and Mac couldn't save her from paralysis anyway [see what I mean about being perceptive?]. She sends him off for butterscotch pudding and reenters the Precious Moments Zone. Lucy runs into Mac, asks about Katherine, then about Kevin's father. Carly says Bobbie will be all over her at GH. Tony says Carly should have compassion for Bobbie, who is still in shock. Carly erupts again and says not hating Bobbie is the hardest thing she's ever tried to do. Tony says she needs to get over it. Lucy tells Mac she wants to know more about Kevin's family now that they're one step closer to getting married. All she knows about Kevin's father is that he's dead. In Gail's office, Kevin says she'll have an easy day. He's happy with Lucy, and has no problems. Of course, living with Lucy may in itself entail a lifetime of therapy, but she's worth it. Seriously, Kevin says his journey is just beginning and he's feeling ready to probe into the dark corners. Carly flounces into the hospital. Bobbie says being on time is important. Carly responds that she's not in Bobbie's department anymore; therefore, it's not her problem. Carly gets personal. Bobbie mentions professionalism, Carly retorts that Bobbie's an old "pro." Bobbie says that they can't avoid each other and she doesn't want there to always be an ugly scene; Carly tells her to stay out of her way. Carly says Bobbie is jealous of her and Tony, mentions Bobbie's new rich husband and says there are some things *she'd* never do for money, which is more than she can say for Bobbie. Bobbie knows exactly what Carly's alluding to and says she won't tolerate attacks from a little piece of filth who doesn't know anything about her. [See, perception...] Carly asks if Bobbie's told her new husband *everything.* Stefan steps out from behind a pillar and says of course. But why would that be any business of Carly's? [Carly loses the staring contest with Stefan]. <ambulance rushes by> Tony is glad a radiant Katherine ordered a second breakfast [back to her old tricks] and says even Stefan Cassadine, Bobbie's new husband, asked about her. Tony then says how great Mac is and how he hopes Katherine appreciates Mac. She says she does, now more than ever. [Boy, Katherine is really, really, really, oh-so-happy about being broken up with Mac. It's obvious.] In the cafeteria, Mac and Felicia share a meal and reminisce over Maxie being sick. Felicia asks if Mac regrets bringing Frisco back and thus having ended things between then. He says no and tells her about his proposal to Katherine. Felicia congratulates him, then says Katherine is insane when Mac tells her Katherine declined the offer. Felicia says she always knew Mac and Katherine weren't right for each other and guesses [perception] that Mac was trying to save Katherine. Ever the hero looking for damsels to rescue. [Oh, lord. The "Mac/Felicia theme" is playing...] Felicia says they're beyond friends, family, etc., and have an unbreakable love-bond. Kevin searches for his identity. Painter? Writer? Cook? Gail wants to know whose expectations he's trying to live up to. Is he trying to charm her or be honest? Stefan tells Carly to conduct herself as an employee of the hospital, and no, he doesn't have to threaten her. He'd fire her outright if Bobbie hadn't asked him not to. Bobbie: "Ask me again." Tony sticks his head into the fray, and Bobbie says there are some weapons you don't use. Carly should be ashamed, and so should Tony. Bobbie leaves. Carly immediately says Bobbie picked on her. It wasn't her fault! Stefan apologizes to Bobbie for butting in, but says he heard everything and couldn't bear Carly's disrespect to her any longer. Bobbie wants to tell him even *more* details about her past. No more secrets for either of them. At the lighthouse, Kevin enters The Closet and looks at The Letters. [Personally, I'm relieved they're only letters. I thought it was the shoe collection from his Eve/Norma days.] At Gail's office, Lucy asks Gail about Kevin's father and says she knows he's keeping a secret: Dr. C., Sr., is still alive. Armed with the butterscotch pudding, Mac realizes this small gesture may "save" Katherine and decides to ditch the dessert and go for a run with Felicia instead. Tony asks Carly what she did to make Bobbie blow up like that. Did she tell Bobbie the secret about him trying to get custody of Lucas? Carly walks off in disgust. Katherine is beating on her legs when an elegant European lady enters. It's the famous Dr. Anna Sieberg, come for a second opinion. Katherine lets her make one. Lucy says Kevin is still getting letters from his father. All are unopened and the postmark on the latest one is three months ago. Back in The Closet, Kevin is about to delve into The Box when the doorbell rings. [Who could it be? I say Alexis, since nobody else visits lately...] <the end>
