** A Typical Quartermaine Day **
In the Quartermaine den, AJ and Ned trade barbs. "Drink up," Ned says.
"How's Lois?" replies AJ.  AJ continues to taunt Ned about Lois and the baby;
however, Ned isn't biting and doesn't react. He then turns the tables on AJ
and talks about Keesha marrying AJ and eventually turning on him. Ned says
that Keesha will find out about AJ's role in Jason's accident "on the day she
becomes a Quartermaine." He wonders who should be the AJ's Best Man and
decides that Jason would be the best person to give the toast. That way there
wouldn't be any memories or stories about the past, but Jason could thank AJ
for erasing most of his brain functions. Finally, Ned offers AJ a drink just
as Alan and Monica enter the room. "Ned!", exclaims Monica. Both Alan and
Monica yell at Ned for his actions, and AJ leaves the room with Alan
following. Monica starts to discuss Lois, but Ned yells "Shut up Monica."
She tells him he is scaring her and leaves the room.

Alan and Monica go into Emily's room to tell her what they were discussing
downstairs. Alan turns down the blaring stereo as Emily comes out of the
bathroom. The smell of perfume is overwhelming, and Emily explains that she
spilled the bottle. The boy she was with (whose name escapes me at the moment
and will be referred to from here on as "the boy") is hiding under the bed and
the almost empty bottle of alcohol sits on the floor near the edge of the bed.

Alan and Monica notice that Emily does not look well. As Emily walks to the
bed to sit down, she pushes the bottle under the bed with her foot. Monica
tells her that she can talk to them is something is bothering her. She says
it's just a stomach ache. As Alan moves away from the bed, Monica tells Emily
she can fool Alan, but not her. Emily then says it's cramps. Monica suggests
she lay down, and she and Alan leave.

Meanwhile, in the Quartermaine den, AJ and Ned trade barbs. "Drink up," Ned
says. "How's Lois?" replies AJ. AJ continues to taunt Ned about Lois and the
baby; however, Ned isn't biting and doesn't react. He then turns the tables
on AJ and talks about Keesha marrying AJ and eventually turning on him. Ned
says that Keesha will find out about AJ's role in Jason's accident "on the day
she becomes a Quartermaine." He wonders who should be the AJ's Best Man and
decides that Jason would be the best person to give the toast.

Back in Emily's room, "the boy" emerges from under the bed saying how
brilliant Emily is to have come up with that story. Emily tells him that
she's never lied to Alan and Monica before. Emily tells "the boy" how bad she
feels about lying to Alan and Monica. She vows she's going to tell them the
truth as soon as she sneaks him out of the house.

Monica returns to the den where Ned is lying on the couch in the dark. He
asks if she knows what it's likt to be too angry to sleep, not being able to
stop your brain from thinking. She tells him not to let it get to the point
that it did with her and Dorman.

Alan is in the foyer with AJ. Alan tries to explain his actions to AJ. He
tells him that he always feels like he should do something no matter what the
situation. He's proud of AJ and all that he's accomplished. However, the
prouder he gets, the nuttier he acts. He doesn't understand it, but he feels
he needs to do something so that AJ won't slip up. He apologizes to AJ saying
that maybe there's more of Edward in him that he wants. AJ laughs and tells
him he's an "enabler." Alan worries that that's a bad thing. AJ explains
that "enablers" love them, and they love "enablers." They say good night and
AJ leaves.

Ned is flying to Tokyo tomorrow and Monica suggest a side trip to Bensonhurst
on the way to JFK airport. Ned say's he can't. He's worried about saying the
wrong thing and driving her further away. He assures Monica that he'll see
her again, but he's going to adhere to her wishes to the letter. As Ned
leaves, Alan comes in. Monica tells Alan that Ned is scared, except he
doesn't know it.

Emily gets "the boy" out after Ned leaves while Alan and Monica are in the
den. As she is heading back upstairs, Alan and Monica emerge and stop her.
Monica wants to explain the restraining order, but Emily stops her. She is
starting to tell them the truth about what happened, but stops. Instead she
just tells them that she knows she's not been cooperative lately, and she's
been distant. Monica and Alan assure her that they love her, and she promises
to be better from now on.

Jason goes back to Jakes and finds AJ there. AJ talks about the family
problems, and Jason wonders why he lives there. "The clean towels," AJ jokes.
AJ recalls Jason telling him how he was born again when he woke up from the
accident. AJ then asks what he's doing for his 1st birthday next week.

** The Custody Game **
In yet another room at the Quartermaine estate, Tony and Justice are
discussing the custody suit. He is writing on a tablet and thinks back to the
conversation with Bobbie when she told him about the baby she had and gave up.
 He hands Justice the tablet.

Justice reads over what Tony wrote and wonders why he didn't mention Bobbie
until the divorce. Justice asks if Bobbie ever had an affair while they were
married. Tony is reluctant to discuss this subject, but Justice informs him
that to get custody of Lucas he has to prove that he's a better parent than
Bobbie. Justice questions if Tony really wants custody of his son. Tony
adamantly replies that he does. Justice explains how the custody game is
played, after which Tony begins to tell Justice what he needs to know.

Tony tells all about Bobbie's childhood, how is was just Luke and her, no
parents. He tells Justice that she was a prostitute and had a child which she
gave up for adoption. Tony feels like a traitor for telling Justice all of
this. He continues on telling him about the night that Bobbie found him and
Carly in bed at the cabin and then finding out that her daughter was dead.
Tony believes that he pushed her over the edge. Justice attempts to help by
saying that guilt can make for bad decisions. He knows that one for a fact.
Tony's beeper goes off. It was Bobbie calling to see if Tony had some time to
go over next week's schedule for Lucas. As Tony leaves, Justice advises Tony
that if it's at all possible, find a way to share custody of Lucas.

In the hospital cafeteria, Bobbie and Tony discuss Lucas and how he's adopting
to the changes in his life. Bobbie believes that he's okay with everything.
She happens to mention the honeymoon trip that Lucas was to go on. Tony is
startled and asks if she was planning on taking Lucas out of the country
without mentioning it to him. Bobbie assures him that she had no intention of
not telling him. Tony, however, realizes that he would not have had a vote in
the decision and wonders if this is a sign of things to come. Bobbie tells
Tony that now she is in a position to give Lucas things she couldn't before.
Tony looks insulted, and Bobbie tries to clarify what she meant, but Tony
directs the conversation back to the schedule.

** Like Mother, Like Daughter **
In the alley outside Jakes, Carly is cornered by the 2 men that were inside.
The offer her money for "her services" and grab her. She screams and fights
until Jason comes to her rescue. He gets the guys off of her and proceeds to
punch one of them while Carly scares off the other one by swinging a large
pipe-like object. Jason continues to punch the guy, but Carly pulls him off
before he kills him. Carly asks Jason why they offered her money. She then
thinks back to meeting with Luke in the cabin and the things he said to her.
Jason gives the remaining guy one last punch, then leaves with Carly.

Jason and Carly arrive at her apartment, and she is talking non-stop. She
goes on and on about finally having a place of her own, about her and Tony,
and about why they have to wait to get married. Jason asks if she really
wants to get married. "Tomorrow, if I could," she replies. If she were
married to Tony, people would have to think about her differently. "After
all, Dr. Tony Jones wouldn't marry a whore," she explains. Jason tells Carly
that she doesn't have to get married to have people like her. Carly goes off
to take a bath and Jason volunteers to stay.

Finished her bath, Carly models the robe that Tony gave her to Jason. She
tells Jason that he's a good friend. She also says that she doesn't want Tony
to know about what happened today. Tony arrives and Jason leaves. She asks
him how the meeting went with his lawyer. Tony tells her about how Bobbie new
lifestyle now allows her to give Lucas things she couldn't before. Carly
suggests that she is making up for the daughter she lost. Carly asks about
the baby's father, and Tony hedges. Carly guesses that Bobbie didn't know who
the father was.

Tony asks who told her, but Carly says she guessed. Carly surmised that
Bobbie was a prostitute so she didn't know who the father was. Tony gets mad
and says people have no business talking about Bobbie. Carly apologized for
bring the topic up, but Tony tells her he's not mad at her. He goes to the
phone and calls Justice to tell him to go ahead with the suit. He'll give him
whatever information he needs. As Tony says this, the picture changes to
Bobbie looking at the picture of her daughter.
