UPDATE DECEMBER 5, 1996

WARNING, WARNING! Two weeks in a row I had VCR problems (this one was a
power outage 10 minutes before the show started, and couldn't reset in
time and next week was a tape jam...) Luckily, I was home both days, but
between trying to get the VCR working and jotting down live notes once I
realized I was in trouble, these may be a bit spotty. Sorry.

AN EARLY CHRISTMAS
Sonny is in the penthouse and the doorbell rings. It's Robin! She wants
to know if he's eating right? She tells him he should write. She came
to surprise everyone, but no one is home, and even her room is taken by
someone else. They talk about Miranda. She tells Sonny he shouldn't
have found Miranda. Brenda is so mad, she told Robin in excruciating
detail for over two hours. "Hey, you're the only person who can get her
that mad!" "It's a gift." Robin suggests he should use it right.

Jason comes in. He's a little hurt by Robin. She came to tell them she
wouldn't be home for Christmas as she's going on a media tour for HIV+
youth. Sonny asks if she'll be all right with this and she says it
couldn't be as hard as the Nurses' Ball, and besides, she won't have
Jason to carry her. Sonny is proud of her, and Stone would be too.
Jason turns his back. Robin makes Sonny promise to go to Mass on
Christmas. Sonny's going to take Jason, too. Sonny leaves, and Robin
tells Jason the reason she sent him back "yesterday" from New Haven. She
was so in love with Jason, and she needed to tell Stone, to tell him that
she had gone on after all. Jason is relieved.

Sonny comes back with a mini-tree that will travel and Robin puts a red
ribbon on it to decorate it. Jason gives her a beautiful necklace.

LETTING PEOPLE KNOW

(I *like* Carly and Tony together! So sue me.) Carly bounces into a
bare apartment, eyes shining. She says to Tony, "You hate it, don't
you?" It's not as close to the hospital as he was hoping, but he loves
it. He thinks it's time Carly went back to General Hospital. He comes
up with the laugh-out-loud line of the day: "Bobbie's a professional.
She can separate her personal and professional life." Carly says: "She
caught us in bed together, no one is that professional!" Tony says,
"Bobbie's the one who got a divorce, why do WE have to skulk around in
the shadows?" "Because it's safer." "I've spent my whole life being
safe, I want a change! Are you with me?"

At the hospital, Carly gets cold feet, but Tony plows on: he says
something to a busy Amy who answers him, then turns around and spies
Carly. "You! I thought you'd left town a long time ago." Tony asks for
change-of-address forms, they are living together. Amy asks Carly, "What
took you so long?" Tony starts to talk to Amy, but Audrey comes up and
Amy tells her the news. Audrey, always a lady, is taken aback, but makes
no comment.

Later, Carly overhears Amy in full cat rant (I really liked Amy in this
scene. She's usually stereotyped as Miss Gossip, but this time she got
to do some acting!) and Audrey mildly wishing Bobbie and Tony would get
back together. Tony comes up looking for Carly, says a few choice words
to Amy, and goes home.

Carly somehow went shopping and beat him there. The GH Time Warp, again.
She's made a candlelight meal on a packing box, romantic, just starting
out. He wants to know why she left the hospital, and she lies. She
tells him nothing happened at the hospital, but you know what, she
doesn't really want to be a nurse after all. It's a calling. She wants
to make Tony happy.

CASSADINE AND SPENCER
Alexis steps over Luke's prone form, and when he comes to, he asks her
"Didn't anyone teach you in all your education that it's rude to come up
and hit people on the head with metal objects?" Alexis tells him "You're
lucky I didn't shoot you, you're trespassing." She asks what he's doing
on "our" island. He didn't know she was a Cassadine cousin. Luke is
looking for Helena. Alexis says she's on a Greek island, and Luke says
not any more. Luke:" Maybe she croaked." Alexis: "You have to be human
to die." She tells Luke that Helena's whereabouts are none of his
business, and when he starts toward the house, she holds a gun on him.
Luke wants to know why Alexis protects Helena and Alexis muses what it
was like being born female in the Cassadine family. But Stefan opened
the doors and set her free, allowed her to become a Cassadine woman with
a mind of her own. She owes him... but on the other hand, she doesn't
owe Luke a thing, including this long tedious discussion of 'Alexis, the
early years.' Judge Rose comes up at this point. Luke wants to know why
he's there, but the goons see him, Luke, off.

THE WEIRD WEDDING
Bobbie appears to have been drinking the water or something. She's
delighted with the dress. She emphasizes all the words. Lucas is having
a good time playing with Nik. Cowboys exhausted, they start Star Wars.
Stefan will be Darth Vader. He puts a handkerchief over his face and
breathes "I'm coming for you, Lucas Skywalker." Bobbie widens her eyes.
Then she widens them again. An even-weirder-than-before expression
crosses her face.

The phone rings. Stefan says "You spoke to the doctor? Then everything's
under control."

Alexis brings Judge Rose in. Stefan hears about Luke being outside.
Nikolas and Lucas come in, all spiffed up, and here comes the bride.
"You look pretty, Mommy." They have the weirdest wedding I've seen on GH
to date. Stefan gives her the Cassadine crest, in a scene parallelling
Jason's gift to Robin. "You're a Cassadine now."

MORE CLUES
At the Spensers' Luke says he isn't going to be bested by a "half-baked
Byzantine bum." They think about the game. They've been reading RATSA, as
they figure out that "Mangard" is an anagram of "Grandma." They wonder
if it's Helena. We cut to the mysterious lady in the chair.
