UPDATE FOR TUESDAY, 12/3/96

Today's Show: "Picking Up the Old Plot Threads AND The New,
               Refreshing Bobbie"

Appearing:
     Mac, Katherine, Miranda
     Bobbie, Luke, Lucky
     Sonny, Brenda, Jax
     Nikolas and Stefan
     Jason, Gina

Also appearing: Laura, Mike

Mac, Katherine, and Miranda sit on the couch in their
bathrobes, discussing Brenda's "purloined letter" routine.
Katherine says Brenda only wanted to learn about Miranda.
Miranda says Brenda took the last part of Jax that belonged to
her.
On the waterfront, Brenda accuses Sonny of ruining her
life and says she read Miranda's letter. Jax, stepping out of
the shadows where he was *also* eavesdropping, can't believe
it.
At the mansion, Nikolas says people are just tools to
Stefan. Will he hurt Bobbie? No. Use her? Yes, but Bobbie
won't know it.
At the Spencers, Bobbie and Luke argue over Stefan. Luke
knows she saw Stefan last night.

<opening credits roll>

Bobbie says that Luke is paranoid, and Stefan didn't try
to kill Lucky. Bobbie says saving Lucky was a gift, not a
debt.  Luke maintains that Stefan did not save Lucky's life;
Lucky agrees. Lucky says Bobbie is wrong about Stefan, who is
evil and will hurt her because she's a Spencer. Bobbie and
Luke continue arguing.
Stefan says he's lonely, and doesn't repay kindness with
harm. Bobbie treats him like he's normal, and he and Nikolas
both like her. Marriage will make him a citizen, give them
someone to talk to, and he thinks they'll be happy.
Miranda says Brenda already has Jax and doesn't need their
past, too. Katherine asks Miranda for wedding details, and
gets them. No one notices Mac gritting his teeth the whole
time.
Sonny says a bunch of incomprehensible ranting about
Brenda being selfish, argues with Jax a little, and storms off.
Brenda stands up to Jax and says she knows where she stands
now. She eavesdropped on Jax and Miranda at Mac's and learned
about the letters. Brenda wants to know why Miranda's feelings
are always more important then hers.
<A truly frightening preview clip featuring Roseanne's
cleavage was shown here during commercials. Fortunately, you
missed it.>
At Luke's Jason bursts in looking for Sonny. Mike says to
leave him alone today, on the anniversary of Stone's death.
Mike tells Jason about Stone, at Jason's request. Sonny walks
in.
Bobbie says Luke leaves no middle ground and Luke says she
has no judgment. Insulted, Bobbie leaves in a huff. Luke gets
a phone call from the WSB saying Helena isn't in Greece. She's
missing. Was she even sick?
Brenda wants to know she's the only one. Jax wrote those
letters to Miranda's soul. Crying, she asks if he even knows
she has a soul. Does he see beyond her face? The corporate
raider and the model make a pretty picture, but is there any
substance?

<break>

Jax says he was a coward before, loves her now, is trying
not to hurt either woman. He says he won't hurt Brenda to keep
her (implication: not like Sonny).
Ruby shows up and Brenda composes herself. Ruby sits on
the bench, Jax and Brenda leave.
Robin sent Jason back for him to be with Sonny. Sonny
talks about Stone and says he must be in heaven. Sonny calls
for Mike to bring glasses; they toast to Stone. [Old Plot
Thread #1]-Gina walks in, says she got a letter from Robin
saying to go to Luke's if she didn't want to be alone. Sonny
gives her a hug while Jason watches. (Gina and Jason seem to
know each other pretty well).
Miranda and Katherine almost hug. Katherine says she's a
part-time wedding consultant who made a fool out of herself
throwing a horror wedding that never happened: Brenda and
Jax's. Miranda wonders why Katherine doesn't hate her and
Katherine says she's got a generous nature. Miranda wants Mac
and Katherine to have time alone so Katherine takes Mac to her
house. <Puzzling: where are the *rest* of Miranda's eyebrows?
She's got a Hayley Vaugn Santos thing going on.>
Luke's been leaving messages for Bobbie. Lucky says Luke
shouldn't scream at her, but Luke says it's the only way he
knows to make himself heard. Laura proposes letting Bobbie in
on their master plan (which is *what* again?) Luke says Bobbie
would tell Stefan everything.
Bobbie meets Ruby on the bench and can't believe it when
Ruby says Tony invited Carly to share Thanksgiving dinner with
him and Lucas. Every time Tony lies, Bobbie feels less guilty.
She's turning over a new leaf starting today and is going to do
what she wants--and she wants a *lot*.
Mac, in bed with Katherine, thanks her for being so nice
to Miranda. Katherine says Miranda is so lucky to know she was
loved so completely--it must be very secure. Mac, thinking
about Miranda, doesn't get the hint.
Gina says she's short on cash, and Jason and Sonny talk,
then offer her a job at Luke's as a hostess. They all get
ready to toast Stone again. Sonny flashes back to Stone saying
Sonny and Brenda would be together someday.
Getting into bed, Brenda looks at her calendar and [Old
Plot Thread #2] takes some pain pills. She realizes what day
it is and picks up the phone to call Robin only to hear Jax
already talking to Miranda and saying he needs to meet with her
tomorrow.
Luke goes to check on things at the club and makes a
midnight bathtub date with Laura.
Bobbie, at Stefan's, wants to know if he'd be good to
Lucas. Stefan says he would, and he sounds honest about it.
Bobbie says that was her last reservation. [Reality alert:
WHY is Bobbie even *thinking* Tony would let Lucas live with
her and Stefan?] She says she'll marry him. He knows her
past. She wanted a handsome man, a gracious life, a fortune.
She always tried to be what her husbands wanted, but Stefan
likes her for herself and she can finally be herself. [I think
this is true. Bobbie has finally stopped making the "big eyes"
and looks more like a predator now. IMHO, she's much more
likable this way.] They kiss. Bobbie asks, "We're going to be
happy, aren't we?" Stefan says he can honestly promise her the
time of her life.
