Subject: GH Update 11/27 Sent: 12/4/96 9:09 PM From: Pat Herman, pat7@worldnet.att.net General Hospital Update Wednesday, 11/27/96 Today's Stories ** Jax's Letters ** ** I've Always Known I'd Recognize the Woman I Would Marry ** ** Does the Police Commissioner Know Where His Girlfriend Is? ** ** I'm the Woman I Always Hated ** ** Jax's Letters ** Outside Mac's house, Brenda thinks back to her conversation with John where he told her how much Jax loved Miranda. Then she thought back to when she hid in the bushes outside Mac's and heard Miranda telling Jax that she had kept his letters and they were what got her through her recovery. She had to read those letters, so Brenda rang the doorbell. Once inside Brenda used Robin as her excuse for coming over. She said that Robin had asked her to send her a sweater she had left behind. Mac thought it was odd that Robin would ask for such a favor considering everything Brenda was going thorough right now, but Brenda said that she hasn't told Robin anything because she didn't want to upset her. Mac then informed Brenda that Miranda was staying in Robin's room. Brenda asked if she was home, and Mac replied that she was out. Brenda said that was fine and she wouldn't be there very long. Mac turned to leave, as he was heading out when Brenda arrived, but stopped and told Brenda how sorry he was. Brenda asked why. She told him that everyone in town was telling her that and she felt like her wedding was really her funeral. She didn't understand why everyone was so concerned about her. She loves Jax, Jax loves her, they were married and are staying that way. Since Mac knew Jax and Miranda back then, she asked him if he loved her. Mac replied that Jax should be the one answering that question. Brenda said that the cat seems to have his tongue lately. Mac realized that he wasn't saying things very well and apologized for his attempts at giving advice. He left, and as Brenda went upstairs she said "I'm sorry Robin." Meanwhile, Miranda comes into the gym where Felicia is working out. The two exchanged greetings as they each worked out. Felicia struck up a conversation with Miranda over a piece of gym equipment. "So that's how you do that," said Felicia. Miranda showed her another exercise you could do on the machine and commented that she became very familiar with the machines when she was recovering from her accident. She mentioned an explosion and Felicia started to put the pieces together. Finally she asked if she was Miranda. Felicia introduced herself and told her she was friends with Mac. Miranda mentioned that Mac was her first husband, which Felicia found very interesting. Miranda told her the story about how she was in a jam, and Mac helped her out by posing as her husband. Felicia commented that Mac helped her out the same way, and that he's helped her out of quite a few situations. She went on and told her how she and Mac were partners in a PI business. They became fast friends. As the gym was closing, Felicia asked Miranda if she would like to work out together again. Miranda said that that would be nice. Felicia was the only person in Port Charles who didn't want her to leave. In Robin's room, Brenda looked around for the letters. She eventually found them in a suitcase. She opened one and started to read it. (Jax voice doing the narration.) She read another letter. (Jax doing narration again.) Like the others Jax was professing his love for Miranda. Brenda had no idea how to deal with what she had just read and as she finished the letter, she let it just drop out of her hands. Right then there was a noise outside the door. The door opened and in came Miranda. ** I've Always Known I'd Recognize the Woman I Would Marry ** At the Brownstone, Bobbie tends to Stefan's wounds as he tells her about what happened with Lucky. Bobbie makes negative comments on Lucky's behavior and says how Luke never used any authority in raising him. All patched up, Stefan gets up to leave, but Bobbie insists on helping him get back to Wyndemere. Bobbie escorts Stefan back to Wyndemere. She walks in and immediately jokes about how the place stays heated.. Stefan says he'll let her know in January. She says she should be leaving, using the excuse that Stefan probably wants to go to sleep. He assures her that he never goes to bed this early and invites her to come in and have a drink. She agrees asking for a stiff drink of anything. Stefan pours then excuses himself to go change. Bobbie comments that she'll occupy herself by counting her blessings in the spirit of Thanksgiving. Before he's out of the room, she jokes she's done. "Think harder," he replies. While wandering around the room, Bobbie notices a small box by a card with her name. She picks up the box and opens it. There's a diamond ring inside. She's stunned. Stefan comes back, all cleaned up, and notices that she's found the ring. He comments that he didn't know how to ask her, and now he doesn't have to. Bobbie is stunned that Stefan would want to marry her so she makes a snide remark about the ring being a consolation prize because he slept with her. Stefan gets angry and suggests that she leave. She decides not to and wants to start things over. Bobbie tells him that she cares about him, but that's not what Stefan wants to hear. He can get that from the staff or the dogs. Stefan tells Bobbie that he could tell her he loves her, but he doesn't think that's what she wants to hear. She's had eight years of hearing that, yet it didn't last. He goes on that there's a stronger bond that love and that's need. He says he's always known how he'd recognize the woman he would marry. "She'd be the one person on this earth even lonely than I am." He asks her if she's imagined the rest of her life. She tries not to think about that. Stefan has, and without her, it's a lonely existence with death at the end. ** Does the Police Commissioner Know Where His Girlfriend Is? ** At Luke's, Sonny and Mike take notice when Katherine comes in with Nicholas. Mike wonders about the new Deception model Katherine is with, but Sonny tells him Nicholas is a Cassadine. Mike wonders whether to ask them to leave, but Sonny tells him to seat them. When Nicholas questions the name of the establishment, Katherine realizes that being there might not be the best idea. She tells Nicholas that they can go someplace else, but he says it's okay making sure to point out that Luke killed his father. After seating them, Mike asks for their drink order. Nicholas questions the wine selection, but Mike doesn't let him get away with ordering any. He settles for a club soda. Nicholas gives Katherine a present. It's a new camera to replace the one he threw in the lake. He points out that this model is even better than the one she had. Katherine persists in trying to get Nicholas to agree to let her do a photo shoot at Wyndemere. She eventually suggests they settle their dispute with a game of pool. If she wins, she can use Wyndemere. He agrees and they go off to the back room. As Mike delivers another drink to the back room, Sonny wonders what's gong on in there. Mike tells them that Katherine and Nicholas are involved in a serious game of pool. They're playing as if their lives depended on it. Mac comes in and Mike wonders if the police commissioner knows where his girlfriend is. As Mac comes over, Mike heads for the back room with the drink. Sonny makes a snide greeting to Mac. Mac has a serious matter to discuss with Sonny and wants his help. This amuses Sonny and he thinks with all the good deeds he's been doing lately, the Chamber of Commerce might have to make him Citizen of the Year. Mac asks if Sonny has any information about the drugs coming into Port Charles. Sonny tells him that his sources say it's not one family. They're coming in from out of the country. Mac replies that the school kids are not going overseas to buy their drugs. He asks that Sonny share any information he finds out with him. Sonny then questions Mac about Miranda, but Mac doesn't say anything. Katherine and Nicholas emerge from the back room. Katherine sees Mac and calls him over. She introduces Nicholas, but Mac already recognizes him from the photos he had when Nicholas was missing. Mac then tells him he just came from seeing his uncle after his latest run-in with Luke. He assures Nicholas that Stefan is okay. Mac turns away and Nicholas wonders if Mac would be jealous of him. Katherine tells him that Mac is as far away from jealous as anyone could be. Nicholas wants to get back to check on Stefan, so they call it a night. After Nicholas leaves, Mac warns Katherine to beware of the Cassadine's. ** I'm the Woman I Always Hated ** Carly comes into Kelly's to get the rest of her belongings, and Ruby tells her she is not welcome. Tony and Lucas come in, and Lucas runs and hugs Carly. Lucas sees the suitcase and asks Carly why she is leaving. She tells him she's not leaving, just moving. Ruby comments that she could no longer afford the room, but Carly says she just needed a bigger place. Tony tells Ruby that Lucas wanted to come there for their pre-Thanksgiving dinner instead of eating at the Port Charles hotel and asks if that is okay. Ruby says Lucas can have anything he wants. They order, and Lucas wants Carly to join them. Carly tries to say no, but Tony also insists despite Ruby's objection. Carly agrees to stay. Lucas wants Tony to go rollerblading with him, but Tony declines and suggest that Carly go. Lucas tells Carly that his dad is no longer living at home. Carly tells Lucas that her father didn't live with her either, but that meant she had her mom all to herself. Lucas asks Ruby for some pie and he goes back into the kitchen leaving Tony and Carly alone. Carly apologizes for being at Kelly's and running into them. She's upset because Lucas will have the same kind of life she did, without a father. Tony tries to tell her that he'll always be there for Lucas, but Carly tell him to face the reality of the situation. She tells him what it will be like for Lucas, based on her own experiences. Tony again tries to assure her that he will not be with Lucas like her father was with her. Lucas comes back with his pie and Carly gets up to leave. She tells Tony that she'll get a room at Jake's, but he gives her his credit card and insists she go to a hotel. She eventually agrees and leaves. THE END Pat, other 1/2 of the Wednesday Update Team
