Too many stories to cover today, so some of these scenes may be a little
out of order...

* Luke saves Stefan and Lucky
* Bobbie and Tony bicker
* Brenda and Sonny bicker
* Alan & Monica reconcile, without bickering
* Jax lays a guilt trip on Dad
* Mike tells Jason it's good to interfere [er, "intercede"]

At the Q mansion, AJ and Emily wait for Monica. Neither knows what
Monica wants to talk to them about but are worried that it has something
to do with Monica's cancer checkup.

At Luke's, Brenda wants to talk to Sonny in private, but makes it clear
she doesn't want to be seen with him or make it a long chummy visit.
Sonny says he'll meet her outside. Mike wonders what might be going on
with Sonny and Brenda; Jason couldn't care less [neither could I].

Mike says it's his obligation to intercede if his son is messing up his
life and won't help himself. Mike's ethics lesson sinks in on Jason and
he leaves to go visit Monica.

Outside, Brenda asks Sonny how hard it was to get Miranda to come back to
Port Charles with him. Sonny tells her that he told Miranda he knew she
was Jax's wife and was going to tell Jax she was alive, and Miranda told
Sonny that she wanted to tell Jax herself so she went back to PC with
him. As far as Miranda's motives go, Sonny says he couldn't care less
what they were, but it's obvious Brenda is concerned that Miranda is
still in town. She says she doesn't trust Miranda. Sonny implies she
doesn't (or shouldn't) trust Jax, so she goes off on her "I love Jax, he
loves me, I trust him, we're married, and we're happy, yadda, yadda,
yadda, go to hell" speech again, then bails.

Jax arrives at his dad's hospital room. John, while packing, says that
after a few days in familiar surroundings, he'll be back to his old self.
Jax replies, "...would you mind telling me who that is?" Jax then
heavily lays in the "I never knew who you were" guilt trip. John defends
their former poor, struggling lifestyle to no avail. Jax says it's all a
lie; John asks, even Brenda? Jax replies, "especially her." He gave his
love a second time, but he gave it on a lie, and how can Brenda love or
trust him now? He tells John he may have cost him both the women he
loves. Jane comes in on the pretext of getting Jax to sign some release
forms for John, then outside in the hall she breaks down and cries. Jax
hugs and comforts her. [Why is she guilt-free in all of this? Didn't
she know as much as John?]

Later, Brenda meets Jax in John's room. John is being taken to the
ambulance, he's flying back to Alaska tonight, and Jax is going with him.
Jax wants Brenda to come along but Brenda thinks she'd better not, for
John's sake, plus she needs time to process things. They hug, then Jax
leaves and tells her he loves her. When he's gone, Brenda says she loves
him too.

When Monica arrives, she tells them it went OK and she's healthy, then
Alan arrives and they announce that they're back together and Alan is
moving back to the mansion. AJ makes a snide remark about their
reconciliation, saying there will be no more arguing or fighting...until
next time, and Emily gets bent out of shape over it. Sally the maid
announces a visitor, who Monica assumes is Dorman. She goes to tell him
off and then sees it's Jason. Jason says he's there to see Emily and
inquires about Monica's checkup, she tells him she's fine and that Alan
has moved back home. Jason tells her he didn't know she had cancer and
says it's good that she's all right. AJ comes in and Monica goes back to
the living room. AJ and Jason exchange words about how happy Monica was
to see him; Jason tells him that no matter how happy she may be, he can't
be what she really wants, then he leaves.

Back at Luke's, Jason and Sonny talk about their visits with Monica and
Brenda, neither visit went so bad. Sonny tells him Brenda hates him now,
and that's good, because she does it with heart and it's a cute thing to
see. She doesn't hate Jax, but she doesn't believe in him, and that's
all he wanted.

Monday's cliffhanger at the quicksand site is replayed again. Stefan
slides into the pool and starts sinking, then Luke arrives on the scene
with a rope. Luke pulls Stefan and Lucky out of the quicksand; Lucky's
freezing from the cold water. Luke bitches Stefan for a bit.

Laura demands to know who's responsible for this situation, and Stefan
says that he can't tell her. If she persists in asking, she risks losing
the one thing she wants most in this world. [Uhhhh...Lady Mangard,
perhaps?] Laura asks what it is he thinks she wants, and why would he
take it away from her? Stefan says he's trying to give it back, that it
wasn't a threat, but a promise of hope. Mac and the PCPD arrive; Laura,
Lucky, and Mac go to the cars for a blanket. Luke lunges at Stefan and
they wrestle for a bit, then Mac breaks it up and Stefan leaves. Mac
warns Stefan to be careful, Luke is dangerous.

Back at the Spencer home, Luke tells Laura he found the Cassadine bugging
device underneath the dining room table. They stage another fight about
Luke's paranoia, yelling loudly into the bug, then Luke smashes the bug.
[Lame. That bugging device was obviously a plastic stick-on clock. What
happened to the good old days when bugs looked like watch batteries?]
Lucky comes downstairs and Luke wants to know what the Timoria game and
its goal is. Lucky tells them the goal was to rescue the lonely Lady
Mangard. She comes after you pass the fifth level, Lucky only got
through level two. Luke suggests they try level three...Stefan wouldn't
go to all this trouble to drown Lucky in a bog at level two. Luke and
Laura step outside to talk about what Stefan told Laura and the quicksand
pit. They wonder what Stefan could have meant about returning the one
thing Laura wanted most; then we see Lady Mangard rocking in her chair
clutching a Cassadine pendant. She's next to a bed that looks similar to
Helena's, but there's no life support equipment around.

At the brownstone, Tony arrives late to pick up Lucas. Bobbie and Tony
trade some insults about why he was late and the state of their
non-marriage. Bobbie asks if they can please try to work together,
because fighting with each other only hurts Lucas, and Tony agrees he'll
try. Tony recites his itinerary for Thanksgiving with Lucas and Bobbie
questions if it'll just be the two of them. Tony says yes, but plans can
change, and if they do, it's his business and not hers, which degenerates
into more bickering about Carly. Lucas runs downstairs and Tony leaves
with him. Later, Bobbie calls Monica for no apparent reason other than
to get the news of Monica's good health and reconciliation, then after
the call Bobbie looks around her house with a lonely and longing
expression. There's a pounding at her door, when she opens it, it's
Stefan, all bloody and covered in mud.
