Monica and Alan celebrate her good news about her health. Alan asks
to come home with Monica. Monica says she doesn't think so.
Brenda asks Jax if he's still in love with Miranda. He says he
doesn't know.
Miranda reads the letters Jax wrote her. In them, Jax talks about
missing her when she would leave in the morning and how she reminded
him of the sun, giving him life and energy.
Luke is playing Timoria. He makes it to level 3. And here I thought
he was computer illiterate! Laura calls from the railroad saying Luke
was right about the grounds matching the game. (Granted, I have a bad
memory and I already taped over that episode, but I thought Laura made
that connection.) Laura says she'll keep looking for Lucky. In the
bog, Lucky tells Foster to stay put and not to worry. Lucky struggles
to reach for a log. He's almost sinking in the mud but he manages to
grab hold of the log. Luke looks at the Ruby Tower in level 3 and
tries to figure out what it is.
Monica says she would love for Alan to come home with her, but she
doesn't want the pain of him leaving in the morning. Alan says he
wants to come home for good. Their smiles and embrace are priceless.
Dorman looks on evily.
Brenda is distressed by Jax's answer. Jax says he's just trying to be
honest. He says he loved the woman she was, but she died and when
someone you love dies, you never get over it. Jax says he was trying
to cut off the pain of losing his love. He says he is a different
person now, so he doesn't know how he feels about her, but he knows he
loves Brenda. Brenda says she's trying to accept what he's saying, but
she's confused. She says she thinks she could help if he was able to
tell her how he and Miranda used to be. Jax says he can't. He asks
why they can't just hang onto today and "keep the rest sealed away."
Gee, I don't know.
Justus and Dara meet at Luke's awaiting Keesha. Sonny tells Jason the
dope coming into town is pure stuff from out of town. Mike inquires
about Sonny's intense interest. Sonny remarks testily that he grew up
in a home without a lot of positive adult interaction and could have
easily ended up like the kids who are getting hurt by the drugs. Jason
runs into AJ and Keesha and asks how things are going at the Qs. AJ
says the same. Keesha was planning to meet AJ later at Kelly's, which
he comments doesn't serve alcohol. Keesha asks Justus not to
condescend to her during this discussion. Keesha says she is more
focused now and has decided to join the police force so she actually
feels like she is doing something about the problem.
Laura calls Luke back. She says she hasn't found Lucky. Luke
describes the Ruby tower to her and asks if she sees anything like that
as a landmark. She says she sees the radio tower. When he asks what's
in between that and the railroad, she says just marshland and bogs.
Both are very distressed at this, and Luke says he's coming. Laura
says for him to keep playing the game. Laura, in a moment of terror,
calls Stephan and says she knows what he is doing and berates him for
playing with Lucky. She says she and Luke figured it out and Luke is
playing the game now. She asks if he's trying to lure Lucky to his
death. He says he would never harm her child. Stephan says Luke is
still just paranoid about him. Almost hysterical, Laura pleads with
Stephan to help her find Lucky. Still in the marsh, Lucky pulls on the
log and it gets dislodged from the shore. He struggles to keep his
head above the mud.
Brenda asks Jax how he can say he loves her and then keep her at a
distance. She says she doesn't even know if their married anymore and
is stunned that Miranda is now staying at Mack's house. Jax says it's
important. Brenda says she is trying to understand but Jax won't tell
her what she needs to know. Jax says it's his fault Miranda "died."
Miranda reads another of Jax's letters about missing her when she left
in the morning. We see Jax again at the beach. I guess we couldn't
see them together because they'd have to cast another actress. Okay,
this is really getting too sappy for me, but Miranda seems to be
moved.
Laura gets back in the car and calls Luke. She says she heard a dog
barking and she thinks it's Foster. Luke says he's on his way. Foster
is staring at the mud whining. Did Lucky drown? No-- he again
struggles to reach for the shore. Laura calls out for him. Lucky
tells him where he is but cautions for her to be careful not to fall
in. Lucky asks how she found him. Laura says through the game, "a
Cassadine trap." Laura takes off her coat and tries to throw the edge
of it to him for him to grab onto. He starts to get a strange look on
his face, like he's going to pass out. He's not able to reach the
coat. Stephan arrives to help. Gee, how did he find his way to where
Laura was so quickly? Lucky looks very out of it.
Alan confronts Dorman about his plotting. Dorman says Monica wasn't
punished and that he's still pursuing the court case. Alan says he
believes Monica and is behind her. Dorman threatens to charge Alan
with assault and says he wants to get his reputation back and put
Monica's in the trash. Alan would like to deck him, but Monica says
let's go home.
Brenda is confused when Jax says he was responsible for the accident.
Jax says he just found out about some of the unethical practices of his
family. Brenda says she didn't believe what Sonny said about the
Jax's. Jax says he blindly followed in his father's footsteps. He
says there was a power struggle which turned ugly when there was an
arson attempt on their company. He said he decided to retaliate but
that he made sure there was no one around when the explosion was to go
off. He said he was rushing to get things done before he and Miranda
left to start their lives. Miranda was in the wrong place at the wrong
time. He went back, but it was too late. Brenda told him he was young
and it was an accident. She says he should forgive himself since she's
alive. He says Miranda lost everything because of him. "And now is
she here to get it back?" Brenda asks. Jane tells Jax she needs his
help to fill out the papers to get John home. Brenda says for him to
do that because she needs some air.
The table is stunned at Keesha's news. AJ is incredulous about how
Keesha decided to become a cop. She says she wants to discuss it and
that she wants their input since they are in the system. Keesha says
she's basically made up her mind. Justus is speechless, but says he
doesn't like the idea of her being a police officer because it's
dangerous. Mike says he realizes he wasn't there for Sonny growing up
and asks if he ever used drugs as a kid. Sonny says that was an ugly
place and he doesn't want to go there. Jason comes in and tells Sonny
whoever is responsible for the drugs is a big player from
who-knows-where. Sonny leaves. Dara says for Keesha to go for it.
Mike asks what Jason knows. Jason says all he know is that Sonny gets
all worked up when drugs are brought up. In dueling conversations,
Mike and Jason and Keesha and Justus talk about their respective
concerns about the problems and the approaches of solving them. It
seems both Jason and Keesha think they can "get into places other
people can't."
Monica and Alan at home at last. Alan stands by the door, awaiting
Monica's welcome. She leads him upstairs to her bedroom. Both a
little uncomfortable, they sweetly approach one another and begin to
kiss. Monica says "We give each other something no one else can....
Welcome home, my darling." Later, in bed, Alan asks how long they
could stay in bed together without anyone noticing. Monica says that
Emily is still very vulnerable and just because they're back together
doesn't mean she will automatically feel secure.
Miranda reads yet another letter which Jax writes about watching her
sleep and an experience of writing their names in the sand, which, when
they were washed away, became part of the see. Miranda, crying, asks
how long "forever" counts.
At the hospital, Jane says Jax and John have unfinished business.
Brenda comes to Luke's to speak to Sonny.
Stephan tries to reach Lucky with the coat. Lucky seems to be getting
frostbite or something. Stephan says there isn't time and tells Laura
to hold onto the coats so she can pull them out. This plan's already
dubious in my eyes. Stephan tries to reach out to Lucky and falls in
the bog. He grabs onto Lucky and holds him up just as Luke arrives.
