From: pat@wesuckless.org (Pat Herman) Subject: GH: Update, Wednesday 11/13/96 Date: 19 Nov 1996 05:36:49 GMT General Hospital Update Wednesday, 11/13/96 Today's Stories: ** It's Over ** ** Living In Denial ** ** Do I Have to Fight For You ** ** Drugs in Port Charles ** ** Katherine Takes Up Tai Chi ** ** It's Over ** Back at the hospital, Tony runs into Bobbie while Stephan looks on. Tony gives back his ring and asks if Bobbie wants the keys to the Brownstone also. Tony believes Bobbie acted too quickly in getting the divorce, but Bobbie believes things were already at that point and she just made it legal. Bobbie and Tony continue to disagree about what's happened. Tony keeps emphasizing that Bobbie figured everything out on her own just like she always does. She responds that all three of them knew that Tony was in love with Carly so what she did was the only course of action. Tony says that this is typical behavior. Every time there is a problem, Bobbie goes off on her own to solve the problem. Bobbie ends the discussion by giving Tony her ring. Tony's beeper goes off and he leaves. Tony comes back to finish his conversation with Bobbie. Tony wonders if she'll ask to not be assigned to his cases. She has no intention of that, and suggests they just wait and see how it goes. They start to argue again, but tony stops it. She wants them to tell Lucas together about the divorce. Tony agrees and they leave the hospital. ** Living in Denial ** Keesha pays a visit to Mac to discuss the drug problem and wants to know what is being done to fix the problem. Mac assures her that they are trying, but Keesha says they have to do more. Mac agrees and Keesha leaves. Miranda had overheard the conversation and is amused by the fact that Mac is the Police Commissioner. Katherine comes down while Mac and Miranda are talking. Katherine excuses herself saying she has business. Mac wants them to all have dinner together, but both women come up with excuses. Katherine leaves and Miranda asks if everything is all right. Mac says that everything is wonderful because she's alive and standing in his living room. Mac shows Miranda a picture of Robin and describes her. As he goes on about Robin, Miranda starts to laugh. She wonders how Mac has landed in suburbia. Miranda asks him how he landed where he did. Mac replies, "It was you Miranda." Miranda wonders what she had to do with Mac's transformation. Mac reviews their old times. When Miranda "died" Mac wanted out of Australia so he came to the states. However, he never forgot her. Mac says he needs to explain some things to her. Miranda avoids the subject saying she doesn't want to go back there. Mac tells Miranda that there things that need to be said. She tries to assure him that she's fine. She's been living in denial for years and thinks it's a pretty good place to be. Mac agrees, since he's been living in denial ever since he thought she died. Now he's got a chance to come out of it and will understand if after it she never speaks to him again. Miranda assures Mac that nothing he could say could make her not want to speak to him. He tells her that he is the one who killed her. "I set the explosion," says Mac. ** Do I Have to Fight for You ** Brenda comes to the ICU where Jane and Jax are watching over John. Jax tells Brenda he's been thinking all night about how his situation with Brenda and his situation with his father are the same. He loves his father, but his father's lie has totally changed his life. That made him realize it's exactly what he's been doing to Brenda. Jax can't quite imagine forgiving his father and imagines that's how Brenda must be feeling about him. Brenda asks if it would be okay if she sat with John. When Jax asks if she's sure she wants to do that, Brenda replies that they're her family too. Jax is amazed that she still feels that way after everything that's happened. Jax takes Jane to the cafeteria while Brenda sits with John. John wakes up and Brenda says, "It almost worked, didn't it." John explains that he didn't want Jax hurt, or anyone else by sitting on the truth. He agrees that it almost worked. He takes Brenda's hand and tells her to "fight for him, Brenda. Please." Brenda wonders is she's going to have to fight Miranda to keep Jax. She asks if Jax loved Miranda and he replies "he loves you." John tells Brenda that it doesn't matter about Miranda, but Brenda disagrees. He starts to say "Jax needs..." when he sees Jax in the window. Brenda turns to look at Jax then drops the conversation and tells John to get well. John wants to sleep and Brenda leaves. Brenda thinks that the best thing to do is to take Jane and go back to the hotel so they can get some rest. Jax agrees and they leave. Brenda and Jax arrive home. Jax comments on how quiet Brenda has been. Brenda tries the "I don't have anything to say" routine, but Jax doesn't buy it. He hopes that if his father said anything to upset her, she'd tell him. She says she's not upset, but is surprised. She tells him about John telling her she should fight for him. "Was he right Jax?" she asks him. Jax tells Brenda that his father was wrong. She doesn't have to fight for him, she has him. "Do I really," asks Brenda. ** Drugs in Port Charles ** Jason tells Sonny about his being with Robin. Luke comes along and asks how things went down under. Sonny replies that things were highly productive and that he brought back the first Mrs. Jasper Jacks. Lucky comes to the club and tells Luke about the boy who died from the drug overdose. Lucky and Luke go off to talk about what's happened and the whole drug situation at school. The conversation changes to the fake separation of Luke and Laura. It's getting tough on Lucky, but Luke tells him it's necessary because they are under attack. They just need to stick it out a little longer. Jason and Sonny discuss the drug problem. Keesha comes in during the conversation. Keesha confronts Sonny thinking that he would know about the influx of drugs. Luke tries to get her to lay off of Sonny, but Keesha will not be put off. She will not give up until the situation changes. Her words affect Lucky, and he agrees with her. They wonder how long this has been going on, and Sonny guesses it's been since mid-summer. Luke wonders what's different about the situation and concludes the difference is Stephan Cassadine. ** Katherine Takes Up Tai Chi ** On the dock at Wyndemere, Nicholas is practicing Tai Chi and he thinks about being set up with the drugs. He loses his concentration. Nick tells Stephan he was thinking about Luke and what he did. Stephan assures him that the situation will be taken care of. Stephan assures Nick that he has "the power" within him and his Tai Chi will help him unleash it. Stephan leaves and Nick goes back to his practicing when he notices that he's senses someone is out there. (that someone had been taking pictures of Nick.) Nick helps Katherine up the dock. She introduces herself and tells her she's scouting locations for a PR shoot for Deception. Katherine asks what exactly Nick was doing and keeps rambling on. Nick asks to see her camera and promptly opens it up, takes the film out, and tosses her camera into the river. Nick gives her money to replace the camera while Katherine demands to know who he is. He tells her "I'm Nicholas Cassadine, and you're trespassing." Nick and Katherine trade barbs. Eventually they both drop the determined attitude and Katherine asks about Tai Chi. They agree to start over again and introduce themselves. Nick has Katherine trying to do Tai Chi. She doesn't quite get it and wonders if it will help her understand someone else. Nick tells her it will give her the energy that will empower her. Katherine likes the idea, and says she should be going. She tells him she's still mad at him for trashing her camera, but Nick says she's not angry. She was angry before, but not now. As she leaves she asks if anyone ever calls him Nicky. "Never," replies Nicholas. As Katherine leaves, Nick goes back to practicing and Stephan asks who was there. "A tourist, lost apparently" replies Nick.
