Date: Mon, 11 Nov 1996 10:01:55 CST From: John R. Andrews U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 11/08/96 The General Hospital Update for Friday, Nov 8, 1996 Written By: Kathy Ellington Reply To: kathy@gundog.lbl.gov ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's the aftermath of the wedding... Those Incredibly Wacky Quartermaines! ========================================================================== Dorman and Monica have a mini-confab about his sexual harrassment suit. He claims that Monica pursued him for sex then, after she broke off their relationship, used her wifely influence on Alan (as chief of staff) to block Pierce from being rehired at GH. Monica takes the lawsuit papers home and comes clean with Alan about Pierce and the whole darned mess. Alan is hurt by her infidelity but eventually he and Monica admit that they love each other. Alan takes the papers from Monica, tears them up, and says the lawsuit is bogus and that he'll handle Dr Dorman! Unfortunately, Emily had eavesdropped outside the door at the beginning of Alan and Monica's conversation. She heard Monica confess to having sex with Dorman. Emily looks shocked. She creeps silently away and out of the house. She winds up on the docks, walking and brooding. She tries to call Lucky but the kid blows her off, he's too busy being duped by Stefan and the Timoria game to have time for little Emily. She's sitting on a bench when some kid she knows from school joins her. He assumes she's been waiting to buy marijuana from another lurking kid. Emily looks confused as the kid drops a bag of grass on her lap. Flukeman and The Hardy-Boy Unite against Batman Lucky is Swept into Timoria Laura and Nik Share a Meal ========================================================================== Luke and Laura have another public argument at GH. Luke finds another Stefan-hater in Tom Hardy. Later on, Tom is sitting in front of a PC with a stack of diskettes at his side. He is looking for information. [This updater thinks they were Steve's diskettes.] Tom pops in a disk and the screen fills with figures; the heading is "Timoria Grant"! Tom mutters something like "that's not what I'm looking for" and ejects the diskette. Meanwhile, Nik has sought out Laura and returns her earring. She persuades him to have dinner with her since they're both alone that night. He agrees. Lucky is at home, playing the Timoria game. He defeats the fire-worms on level 1 and reaches level 2, then decides to stop the game for awhile. He exits the game and a page prints out. It is some landmark and he thinks he recognizes it. He takes the printout to the front porch of the Spencer house and peers into the distance. Excitedly he runs back inside and grabs his coat, "That's it!" he exclaims, "Timoria is Here!" [in Port Charles]. He runs off into the darkness. Bobbie Cuts Herself Loose, Unkie Stefan offers Solace ========================================================================== Bobbie has flown to the Dominican Republic to obtain a quickie divorce. She's on the phone with Tony and informs him of her intended actions. He is stunned that she would act so precipitously but she is fueled with anger. She does, however, give him a chance to tell her not to go ahead with the divorce. Alas, he doesn't say the words she wants to hear. She makes him admit their marriage was over before he slept with Carly. Later on Bobbie wearily returns to her hotel room. She has an official-looking envelope in her hand and we can only assume it's the divorce decree. She enters her room and it's filled with exotic flowers; Stefan steps in from the balcony. Sonny, King of Denial ========================================================================== Mike rags on Sonny about bringing Miranda to wreck Brenda/Jax's wedding. Sonny tries to justify his actions by claiming he was only interested in finding out Jax's deep, dark secret in order to oust him from the ELQ board. Mike's not buying it, though, and keeps hammering away at Sonny. The mini-mobster denies that his feelings for Brenda are ruling his actions. The Jacks Family Starts to Come Unglued -- Where is Jerry?? ========================================================================== Jax is at Papa John's bedside in GH's emergency room. John tries to make Jax see his point of view in keeping Miranda's condition from his son. Jax has big problems in believing that Miranda went along with the deceit. Jax exits his room and Miranda comes in. Outside, Jax and Mac have a few words. Mac tells Jax to let him (Mac) explain to Miranda the details about the explosion, especially who set the charge. A bit later on, Miranda and Mac are joined by Jane and Jax. After saying something tactless about Miranda surfacing at the worst possible moment, Jane leaves. Jax accompanies her but returns later. Miranda tells Mac that Jane and John think she purposely went back on their agreement to keep her existence a secret. Mac bitterly explains what a sack of sh*t Sonny is. Now that they're alone, Miranda asks Mac to tell her the background on Sonny and Brenda. Later on, Mac gets at call at GH about the boy who died of the drug overdose. He has to go and see the kid's parents and takes leave of Miranda. Jax comes up then and wants some facts from her. He says that Jane and John said it was Miranda's idea not to tell Jax she was alive. He demands the truth. Poor Little Brain-Dead! ========================================================================== In their suite at the PC Hotel, Brenda wearily sits down, still in her wedding gown. In the pocket of Jax's tuxedo coat she has found her wedding ring and a folded piece of paper. She reads it and realizes it is the vow Jax wrote for her to recite at their wedding. She smiles tenderly and reads. Then she replays the last tender moment they shared before going downstairs for the ceremony. She lovingly puts her wedding ring back on. The doorbell rings and she answers it. It's Sonny -- she glares at him. end end send comments, questions, and flames to kathy@gundog.lbl.gov end end
