                            GH Update for 10/25/96

Scene 1
Stephan privately comforts the upset Bobbie who immediately blurts out that her
husband is having an affair.  Meanwhile, her straying spouse rushes to Carly's
room and embraces her.
Scene 2
Ned gets the word from Brenda that he has a new daughter. He wants to come
there, but Brenda says that Lois thinks he should wait [what a bitch]. She
gives him the details of the birth, i.e. 7lb 10oz and 19in. He doesn't tell the
other Q's. [This is such a crock. He doesn't even get to talk to Lois. It seems
to me the writers are getting even with her for leaving by writing such a
ridiculous story line]
Scene 3
Carly tells Tony she was going to leave town [not true] but just couldn't.  She
says she might be selfish wanting him but didn't go after him on purpose. He
maintains that he believes her, and she's not the reason his marriage was in
trouble.
Scene 4
Bobbie spills her tale of woe to Stephan. She goes on and on about Carly. He
listens glassy-eyed to her nasaly-droning then tells her, "Your husband must be
a fool." [Jeez, with such incredibly glib pickup lines it's no wonder why so
many women seem to be enamored with this wolf in sheik's clothing]. He
continues to lay it on as thick as her make-up and gets her to criticize Luke a
bit.
Scene 5
Tony paws Carly a little and tries to explain how much she means to him.  She
is pessimistic about their chances of being together but suggests they might
keep their love under wraps, so to speak.
Scene 6
Katherine, having overheard about Lois, tries to comfort Ned, but he pointedly
ignores her overtures and sticks to business concerns.
Scene 7
As Ned tells Lila about the newest Q, Edward appears, already knowing the news,
and congratulates him. Ned angrily demands Edward never mention her name again.
When he leaves, Lila also snaps at the befuddled Edward saying she can't
forgive him for keeping her from her great grandchild.
Scene 8
Jax gets a call from his mother about the wedding invitation.  Katy arrives to
work on the nuptials and during her non-stop blathering, she asks if something
is going on between him and Sonny mentioning that she saw Sonny and Mac
together.  At the mention of Mac, Jax flashes back to his putting a large stack
on money into an envelope and putting the name Scorpio on it, but he answers
"No, there's nothing going on."
Scene 9
Carly offers to stay in her current dive and get a job, but Tony interrupts and
says she should stay at their love nest cabin.  Of course, she eagerly accepts
[that was a real no-brainer].
Scene 10
As Bobbie wraps up her whine session with Stephan, Sonny arrives to see him.
Stephan asks, all things considered, if Sonny still intends to build the AIDS
wing and offers to match the funds. Sonny says yes and no thanks. After Stephan
makes a comment about what he heard about Sonny, Sonny replies, "The only thing
you need to know about me Mr. Cass-a-dine is I look after the people I care
about." A look of mild amusement and intrigue crosses Stephan's face as though
contemplating a possible interesting opponent.
Scene 11
Katy rambles on about the wedding plans, but Jax looks distracted.  While she
waits for Jax to retrieve some papers, she nabs a copy of Lucy's travel
itinerary for Jax Cosmetics from Jax's desk after seeing a newspaper article
there reminding her of Lucy's charges against Mac.
Scene 12
As Carly packs to head for the cabin, Tony suggests that she try to enroll in
Mercy Hospital's nursing program, but she tells him she doesn't want to jump
into anything yet [except presumably his bed]. She tells him she never felt
like she belonged anywhere before, but now she knows she belongs with him. Of
course, he eats this up [what a manipulating, deceitful little tramp, God, I
love her ;)]
Scene 13
Back at GH, Stephan, grinning like the Cheshire Cat, continues to flirt with
Bobbie in Wonderbra. He gives her a line about their paths crossing, and how
there must be some reason for it [ya, some deep Karmic one like, you show me
your yin, and I'll show you my yang].
Scene 14
Brenda returns home and fawns over Jax while telling him about Lois and her
baby. She makes him promise to always be with her during important times. He
does while looking thoughtfully into space.
Scene 15
Ned pitifully walks around an empty nursery.
Scene 16
Jones and the Giant Tart decide to keep on keeping on and head for the cabin.
Scene 17
Stephan continues his not too subtle line to Bobbie about fate having plans for
them [Is this woman so dumb? Didn't Damian say roughly the same thing?]
Scene 18
As Ned sits in the dark nursery, we get one of those artsy GH scenes.  Images
of Ned's and Lois' wedding fade into Brenda trying on her bridal veil followed
by Sonny on the docks thinking of her and him embracing on the beach.
