From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Update Insane Thursday October 10 Date: Wed, 16 Oct 1996 20:43:42 GMT Thursday was See-Who's-Craziest Day, and Tom and Kevin weren't even on! Bobbie finally listens to her answering machine and Tony's lie. Felicia comes in asking about General Hospital. Then she asks about Tony, and Bobbie doesn't know where he is, Bobbie feels like her life is out of control. Felicia gets a maniacal gleam in her eye as she smiles: "ALL our lives are out of control!" [I had the feeling Kristina didn't have a grasp on this acting: she does fury well, and ditzy OK, but this just didn't gel, as near as Your Fearless Updater could see!] Maxie had reminded Felicia on the phone (right, sure!) to put flowers on BJ's grave. Felicia has come to realize that she can't be paralyzed by events. Alan comes into the mansion. He's irritable. He didn't sleep well, due to the pain. Monica says he should have stayed. She tells him what he really needs is to take better care of himself. He's feeling badly about General Hospital, and Luke the Paranoid comes right in. He wants to know how come the hospital closed. "Luke, it's none of your business." "Well, that's never stopped me before." He wants to know if the lawsuits against Kevin had anything to do with it. He claims there's a noose tightening around the whole town. Monica's staring at Luke like she's wishing SHE were a psychiatrist. Luke says that "Mercy is the least of your worries" and "Being paranoid doesn't mean people aren't following you." He leaves. The phone rings and Monica finds out that a long-term patient is at Mercy, and has been assigned to an HMO doctor. She's annoyed. Alan apologizes. She says it's not his fault just as Dr. Dorman comes in. He came to see Alan's hand, and to say he is now at Mercy, and Monica should apply there, too. He leaves, Monica goes off to see this former patient, and Alan loses his temper and knocks his briefcase off the table. Carly wakes up and Tony's gone and she panics, again. He's found a box of sporting goods and yearbooks and they look at them. If he didn't have to, he'd never leave at all. Carly is surprised by the all-boys' school. He says, taking her words, that he's "a Kindly Interesting Wise Old Guy." He wants to see HER High School mementos. She keeps thinking she can tell him everything and he'll still like her, but as she's about to 'fess up (maybe) he says he has to get back. Tony goes into the Brownstone, and Bobbie tells him GH has closed. She is "understanding" [Which I find more annoying than suspicion: she just doesn't think he's interesting enough to be having an affair.] She has "missed him terribly" [Yeah, that's why she went to Luke's before she came home!] He leaves, and Bobbie gets some forget-me-nots from Stefan. Monica comes by: "My husband is sleeping in a hotel and I am raising Emily [who?] in a house of horrors" and she feels her life is out of control. Too bad Felicia isn't there to smile insanely at this! At the Outback, Katherine asks about Mac's visit to Kevin. He hasn't escaped yet, maybe she should bake him a cake with a file in it. She misses Mac, and has very little sympathy for Felicia. Jason comes in for a letter Robin "misaddressed." Katherine points out that Robin's no dummy and leaves for an interview about St. Sonny. Mac and Jason talk, about Robin and about GH closing. Felicia comes bouncing into the Outback. She's been thinking about her life. She's going to take her life back. She rattles on at Mac, and Katherine comes to the door and sees them together. Meanwhile, Carly comes in and talks to Jason. She is so happy. She calls Florida collect again. Later, she is sitting on a park bench and Tony comes up. Jason goes to the Mansion to see Alan. He talks about Robin. He wants to pay for her medication if she decides to take it. "What's the use of money if it's not for something like this?" [Definitely not a Quartermaine!] He tells Alan thank you for treating Robin so well. Alan gives him a ride to GH. Nik is upset to see the suitcases Stefan has packed. Stefan looks calm: "Nothing has changed, our strategy remains the same. We leave Port Charles when we've accomplished what we came for." Stefan tells Nikolas it's like running, you keep one eye on the goal and another on the obstacles. So Nik goes up to pack, and there's a knock on the door [!] and Stefan says "on your way up, let Mr. Spencer in." [When did Luke start knocking?] Luke notes the portrait is gone, does not believe the Cassadines are actually leaving. He mentions "Timoria" and isn't sure who's supposed to be "atoning." Stefan gets a sly smile on his face. Stefan again mentions the bone marrow transplant... Luke isn't buying it. As Luke is leaving, he sees Nik on the dock, and Nik tells him he's trespassing. Luke remains, lights a cigar, and sees Bobbie coming. He asks her what she's doing there, and she widens her eyes. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe, member of SESIDAR Growing older is mandatory, growing up is optional. jyarnot@netcom.com Putting the fun in "dysfunctional." http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/5144/
