This Thursday (September 5) was all about Spencers and their relatives
(if we consider that Luke is Nik's evil step-father).

1. BOBBIE HAS TERRIBLE TIMING.
Tony, shaken by seeing the father and daughter, is sitting on the
couch. Bobbie comes up to him and he tells her about Alan's good news
for Robin. He remembers Robin, as a small girl, listening through his
stethoscope: "Uncle Tony, your heart sounds so happy!" Bobbie, always
the great one at discerning how others feel, decides that this is the
perfect time to discuss adoption. (Now, if she'd told him, long ago,
about the daughter she was looking for and how it was good that said
daughter had a caring adoptive mother, she could have made her reasons
make sense, but as it is, Tony thinks she's attempting to replace BJ.)
"You look like my wife, you sound like my wife [how does he STAND that
voice?] but the longer I look at you I realize I'm standing here with a
perfect stranger." "How can you SAY that to me?" pouts Bobbie. "I
*love* you!" [Right, sure she does. With Stefan lurking around? How
long will she remember it this time?] They argue more. Tony says he
will never open himself up to that kind of pain again. Later, she tells
him about the party for Robin, but Tony isn't going.

2. CARLY HAS BAD TIMING
Robin and Jason are so happy about her news. Of course, they still don't
know if this will be a better treatment, or how much better. She tells
him about "knocking wood." She asks: "Why aren't you kissing me?" He
responds: "I'm brain-damaged." Robin is going to wait in the park for
Mac. Jason tells her he has an answering machine.

Meanwhile, Carly knocks and walks into J's room. [the boy should lock
his door, it's the Felicia-method of security!] She walks around it,
[where's the helmet-plant?] and gets into bed to wait. Been there, done
that.

Katherine comes up to them in the park, and Jason leaves. Katherine
explains to Robin that Mac isn't there, that Felicia has been kidnapped
by Kevin, tra-la, and let's have a going-away party at LUKE'S. Robin
worries about her friends for a bit, and tells Katherine her good news
about her HIV. They hug. Katherine has not ever atoned for her rooking
the Nurses' Ball out of that money, but I still liked her better today
than I ever have. She's truly beginning to turn into a human being. [I
loved the earlier Lucy-Katherine scene. She didn't snipe at Lucy once.]

Jason comes into his room, spots Carly's dress [You GOTTA lock that door,
kid!]. She comes out of the shower clad in a towel and wants to welcome
him back properly. He tells her no. "I don't want to have sex with you
any more." "Wow, that's a show stopper... you and Little Bo Peep are
finally getting it on?" She points out that Robin won't be around. He
tells her he doesn't want to be her boy on the side any more. She thinks
he doesn't have blood running through his veins, he just has wires. She
threatens to tell Robin, and is standing there when Robin's message comes
through about the going-away party.

3. LUKE HAS NO TIMING: his "plan", if any, just spins its wheels.

Mike tells Luke that the Greek writing on the check is "Timoria" or
"atonement." [How heinous!] Mike discovers that in Luke's dictionary,
"atonement" means "war." Mike counsels some other approach, and Luke
laughs him off. "You SURE about all that?" Luke says that first Stefan
will ingratiate himself with everyone in town and then pull out the rug,
and Luke doesn't intend to be standing on that rug when he does.

Meanwhile, Stefan is making Yet Another Mysterious Phone Call: "Keep her
comfortable. I'll let you know when I'm ready. It won't be much longer."

Mike repeats: "Luke, you've got a beautiful wife and two great kids.
[Welllll, maybe one and half...] You don't want to end up looking at them
through a set of bars or worse.... if this guy is so bent on destroying
you and your family, then how come he volunteered his nephew for Lulu's
bone marrow transplant?" Luke screams: "MIKE, I JUST **TOLD** YOU! I
thought bartenders were good listeners!" [Luke is trying for the padded
room next to Kevin's, at this rate!]

4. LAURA RUSHES HER TIMING, but who can blame her?

Laura and Nik are at Lesley's grave. She tells him this was her mother,
his other grandmother. He wants to know what that has to do with him.
"My mother didn't just die, Nikolas. She was murdered, by YOUR family."
Later she says she was worried that Helena would have killed him. He
doesn't believe her, and she tells him to ask Stefan. "You are my son,
and I love you, and I always have. And if she had had a chance to know
you, your grandmother Lesley would have loved you too."

Nik asks Stefan if this is the truth. Stefan hesitates, but admits it.
Nik looks at the portrait of Laura. He tells Stefan he's been betrayed.
"I hate the Cassadines, too."

Laura finds Luke listening to this. She's appalled that he bugged
Windemere, and asks when he was planning to tell her. He pulls out her
Cassadine necklace and asks when she was planning to tell him about that?
