Luke and Mike chat about Stefan Cassadine while Bobbie and Laura sit down at a table in Luke's club to chat.
Laura confides in Bobbie about how much she wants to reach out to her son but how much he won't let her. And that she can't blame him. Bobbie reassures Laura to keep trying. She tells Laura that Nikolas is a teenage boy and of course he wants his mother, but would he ever admit it? She tells Laura that Lucky's slammed the bedroom door in her face a lot but he wants her to be his mother and love him. Bobbie tells Laura to go after her son, not to believe him when he pushes her away. Laura realizes Bobbie's right, thanks her, and goes to call Stefan.
Stefan had been outside with Nikolas doing Tai Chi, giving him advice and training him to be a Cassadine. Although Stefan is a Cassadine, he does truly love Nikolas and he does want what's best for him. Nikolas is having a very hard time being caught up in the war between the Spencers and the Cassadines, bitches a bit to Stefan then tells him he's going for a jog.
When Laura calls Wyndemere and Stefan answers, she asks him where Nikolas is. He remains angry and doesn't answer. (Why does he have so much anger for her in particular) She this time however plays him like a violin and reminds him that he promised he would help her and that she never knew him to go back on a promise. "What makes you think you ever knew me at all?" he taunts her. She smiles victoriously into the phone. "Maybe I know you better than you do. Come on Stefan," she says deeply. "Tell me where he is."
Stefan gives in reluctantly and tells her Nikolas went for a jog. She hangs up and Bobbie says Tony has cancelled lunch. Laura asks why and she says that he's stuck at the hospital. Laura suggests that Bobbie go to the hospital and drag him to the cafeteria to be with him. Bobbie says he'd just find some other excuse. Laura asks Bobbie if she thinks he's with another woman and Bobbie realizes she hadn't thought about it. Laura immediately realizes how cruel that was to say and tells Bobbie Tony isn't like that. Laura and Bobbie share some loving words and Laura leaves.
Luke then comes out from the back where he was telling Mike how EVIL the Cassadines are, yadda yadda. (I understand Luke, they have drugged him, nearly froze everyone he loved, killed two friends of his, tortured him physically, then stolen his wife from him and used her as a sex slave, yeah, I can understand but still, give it a rest) He sees Bobbie and asks instantly where Laura is.
Bobbie says Laura left. Luke asks if Laura's got Bobbie lying for her now since she obviously went to see the kid. Bobbie defends Laura drastically and tells Luke that it is HER child and she has a right to want to see him and Luke can't break that bond. She tells Luke that it's not as if Laura ran away from home but that Bobbie wouldn't blame her if she did. She asks Luke if this is what Laura is subjected to every time she walks in the door.
She tells Luke to give Laura a break and stop putting her in a position to have to choose between her family and her son whom she loves. Bobbie slips and let's Luke know she saw Stefan again and goes ballastic. Bobbie demands to know what his problem is and Luke shouts, "Don't you forget what they did to me! What they did to me when they made me believe she was dead! That she had drowned in the freezing water and I had to live without her, I had to live without the woman I loved more than anything..." he continues and gets tears in his eyes.
Bobbie then realizes Luke is afraid he will lose Laura again and remembers that the Cassadines did take Laura and make her a slave and she holds Luke.
Meanwhile, Mike works on finding out what Timoria means. My question is, why didn't Luke just ask Laura? She knows some Greek and Russian, she had to speak it for two years...hello.
Then we see Nikolas running but stopping because he has a cramp. He puts it up against a bench to stretch it out. Laura comes by and tells him that won't help. He tells her it's just a cramp, it'll go away and why doesn't she do the same. Unphased, she says, "Well, as usual your manners are absolutely charming," and she sits down, massages his leg and instantly the cramp goes away.
"Stop!" he says harshly. "Where'd you learn to do that?"
"Oh from beating my children," she says casually and he laughs.
She tries to get him to talk a little bit about himself, he tries to make a fool out her but doesn't succeed, then asks why she cares so much now but didn't when he was a baby. She sighs and asks if they could ever just have one conversation without bringing up how long they've been apart. Nikolas thinks it was easy for her since she abandoned him.
Laura finally decides she can't let him go on thinking she abandoned him, that she didn't intend to return. She decides she has to prove to him that she loved him. She asks him to give him ten minutes of her time, after that she will leave him alone if he wishes. He asks her if she could've proved it why didn't she before and she tells him because she doesn't want to hurt him. He tells her she has no power over him, she tells him she wishes that were so.
He goes with her.
