Subject: Sent: 8/16/96 12:55 PM From: Jan Yarnot, jyarnot@netcom.com This is the day for the Knights in Shining Armor... GH: UPDATE THURSDAY AUGUST 8 1. KEVIN AND MAC TO THE RESCUE Kevin is sitting on Felicia's couch in the trashed room when she comes in. She's surprised to see him still there, and he tells her his one-o'clock cancelled so he was postponing his seminar on procrastination. [Well, *I* thought it was funny, but either Felicia didn't understand it or she was too distracted to be amused.] Kevin didn't sleep well, but he isn't sure whether it was because of trying to sleep in a trashed room or on top of puffy Power Stranger sheets. He stayed because Mac asked him to, and it won't be a problem with Lucy because Felicia is Lucy's "very very bestest friend." Felicia is still annoyed at Mac. But where IS Tom? Felicia is more worried FOR him than ABOUT him. The phone rings, and it's Mac. He's coming over. While telling Felicia this, Kevin points out that acts of violence are usually perpetrated against lovers. He says she's really angry at TOM and is channelling it towards Mac. Felicia is on the phone to the girls when Mac arrives. He tells her Tom has missed hospital appointments and left no messages. He tries to get through to Felicia. Filly asks Kevin why Tom wouldn't reach out to her, and Kevin answers that stalking is about control. The phone rings. It's Tom, an obvious [to all but Felicia] tape-recording. Felicia is finally convinced. The phone rings again, and it's another Tom-tape. Mac was unable to trace it. Felicia (standing in front of Oz books. Is this a clue?) looks worried. Mac whispers to Kevin "if Tom knows we're onto him he'll make a move." Felicia opens a drawer and looks at her gun. TONY TO THE RESCUE Carly is late to work, and Amy takes great glee in telling her she missed an OR procedure. Carly looks worried, but Amy tells her it was posted in the "Nurses' Study Hall" where Carly hasn't been either. "I have watched you target somebody for some thing and then manipulate your way into whatever it is you want that day. I am Not Impressed, nor am I fooled." Tony overhears this and stops Amy. There are minor explanations, and Tony tells Amy he must have missed the bit where someone died and left her in charge of supervising nurses. Tony tells Carly she should stand up for herself. Carly says he shouldn't be a neurosurgeon, he should be a motivational speaker. She wishes she'd heard nice stuff like this from her father. Tony asks her along to present-shop and to visit Leslie Lu. Carly was happy about that trip, she had a blast. They talk about him missing BJ. He asks her to "wild corndog day" at the cafeteria. She's horrified and suggests cooking a dinner herself. LUKE'S ARMOR IS RUSTY It's Lulu's birthday and Gucky thinks she should learn the Hiphop. Luke and Laura see this from the stairs. Laura says "We have so much to be thankful for" and Luke comments: "Yeah. Why do I feel the bank is about to foreclose?" They take cute family pictures. Laura has invited folks to come during the day. Lucky wants to know why they are having an all-day open house instead of a blowout party. Laura says nothing will change, and the Brat says it already has. Laura said yes, Lulu will live because of Nikolas. The Brat explodes. He goes off to get Lulu a present. Luke says his own anger is difficult to control, and Laura wants to talk. Lulu, always heading for the pertinent, says "Cookie. Cookie." What an actress! Luke spews: "You're so damn determined to find good in people who have done nothing but try to destroy us! [EXCUSE ME, Luke?? Lulu's alive because of this, which you keep trying to forget. Grow up!] ... That kid carries nothing but hate." He walks off with the baby. Justus comes by. Laura and Justus talk. She tells him about Nikolas. It's a relief not to have this huge secret hanging over her head. In the end the truth always comes out. They look up to see Luke thunderclouding at them. Tony and Carly come by bringing a present and radishes. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: I think radishes are a **TERRIBLE** idea for a toy. They're just the right size to choke a baby. They keep telling people not to give under-threes toys with tiny loose parts, yet these twits think a radish is the perfect toy. END PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (Though I hope someone got on TPTB about this!) Justus leaves the present from himself and Keesha. Luke sees him out. "Don't mistake me for a forgiving man." He won't call the cops... the main thing he's mad about is how he made Laura suffer [seen a mirror lately, Luke?] "Maybe living in a Hell of your own making is worse than anything I could do for momentary gratification." "You speak the truth, my friend, you speak the truth." The present from Tony and Bobbie (in absentia) is a doll. Lulu prefers the radishes, of course. When they leave, Laura says Carly is "interesting." Luke agrees. At the park, Gina is remembering when Robin told her off about Stone. Foster, who is not leashed, what a surprise, comes up, with Gucky right behind. They talk. She's missing her brother, and he has an idea what she must feel, as his sister almost died. Nikolas overhears. Foster comes to say hi to his friend Nik. Gina tells Gucky to "make sure you tell her how much you love her. Now. Now before you run out of time." Lucky invites Gina along to buy the present. Nikolas leaves. That evening, Nik sneaks up to leave his present on the porch. Laura sees him.
