** Yo Mama!
Ned, Lois, and the rest of the Idle Rich are finishing their setup at
the Outback. Ned is looking forward to the moment when Tracy first
sees "Eddie Maine." Ned speculates that the shock will incapacitate
her for about 10 to 15 minutes; however, Lois was hoping for a couple
of hours at least. That way they could finish the gig and get out on
the road before Tracy could say a word. Lois apologizes to Ned for
doubting him about just how bad his family, especially Tracy, could
be. Lois sums Tracy up by saying that she's got every bad trait of
every member of the family all rolled into one. Lois asks Ned if his
mother has every done anything nice for him, to which Ned replies
"probably"; he just can't come up with anything at the moment. At
this moment, Ned notices Tracy staring out the window of The Outback.
 Jax and Sonny are outside.

Jax attempts to convince Sonny that he should sell his ELQ shares.
Sonny tells Jax that despite his efforts, Sonny will not sell his
shares. He bought them from a friend, and he will keep them as a
point of honor. Jax replies that honor has no place in business, but
Sonny counters with "It does in mine." Brenda finally leaves the
doorway, where she has been listening to their conversation, and comes
over to them and asks what they are doing.

Sonny asks what Brenda is doing outside, and she replies that Tracy
told her they were out there. She tells them to ignore anything Tracy
might say to them because she only wants to put them at each other's
throats. Both Jax and Sonny agree that's not the case; they're just
having a civil business discussion.

Robin and Jason arrive at The Outback Jax and Brenda go inside, and
Robin tries to talk both Sonny and Jason into coming inside to hear
Ned sing. They both decline saying they have to work, but Robin tells
them that since she's going off to college soon, this may be their
last chance to spend time together. "You need to get out more," she
tells Sonny, and "You need to learn to be in the same room as the
Quartermaine's," she tells Jason. As an added incentive, she tells
Sonny that she wants to dance with him. Eventually, they both agree
and the three of them go inside.

The Outback is filling up, and Ned and Lois wonder where Tracy is.
"Maybe some helpful little girl from Kansas put a bucket of water on
her," says Ned. Lois, however, wants Tracy to hear Ned sing so she
can admit he's incredible. Tracy arrives wanting to know when the
show's going to start. Ned goes off to get ready, and Lois shows
Tracy to the table she reserved for her and Edward, right up front.
Tracy verbally assaults Lois telling her that Ned is a fool for
low-class women, that he thinks he'll find love looking in the gutter,
and to Ned this is all make believe. It may be real to Lois, but it
isn't to Ned. Someday it will all end and Ned will go back to "his
own kind." Lois tells Tracy she's wrong, but is shaken by Tracy's
words. Jax and Brenda come up to the tow of them and ask if
everything's okay. They invite Lois to sit with them, but she says
she has to check on the band. Brenda and Lois go off leaving Jax with
Tracy. Jax tells her that he and Brenda are very happy together and
not to interfere. "Meddle in my personal life and the deal's off," he
tells her and walks away.

Robin, Jason, and Sonny are sitting at the bar, and Robin tells them
to order anything they want, it's on the house. Jason thinks that Mac
might object to that, but Robin says that it's her going away party.
It's still about a month before she leaves, but everything's going so
fast. She tells Sonny again that she wants to dance. He stands up
and properly asks if he could have this dance, and they hit the dance
floor while Brenda looks on.

Edward enters The Outback and joins Tracy at their table. Edward
tells Tracy that Ned has dug his own grave this time. He gave him
every opportunity to give up the music, but he chose not to. Ned
makes his grand entrance. Standing on top of the bar, clad in
leather, he yells "Yo mama!" as Tracy's mouth drops to the ground. Up
on the stage, Lois introduces Eddie Maine. Ned jumps off the bar,
heads up on the stage and starts singing. Tracy's expression is total
disbelief, her mouth still open. Everyone is having a great time
enjoying the music, except Tracy. Ned moves into the audience and
comes up to Tracy, who keeps her head down and will not turn to look
at him.

After the first set is over, Tracy tells Edward "that was thoroughly
humiliating." Edward thinks that all of the patrons seemed to find it
entertaining, but Tracy declares that "a lot of people find monster
truck rallies entertaining." The band takes the stage for the second
set. Ned says there are a lot of people that he has to thank for
helping his singing career, but they're too numerous to mention.
However, he would like to specifically thank his mother for sending
him off to boarding school which is where is discovered music. He
also thanks Lois and calls her up to the stage to make the
announcement of the Idle Rich summer tour. Once again, Tracy is
stunned. She stands up and yells that he's making a fool of himself,
but he ignores her and the band starts playing. Eventually she gives
up and sits down.

The show ends, and Tracy tells Edward that the experience was even
more horrible that he described. She tells him that all of this is
his fault because he exiled her. If she were here she could have
stopped him from marring Lois. Tracy goes on that she knows Edward
must have a plan. She warns him that if he lets Ned go away
everything will blow up in his face, and he'll him forever. Edward
says that Ned can be replaced and Tracy laughs at the idea his
replacement being Justus Ward. She goes to the bar and orders a shot
of tequila. She asks Jason very loudly if he liked the music. "It
was loud," he replies just as loudly, "just like you." She then asks
to talk to Robin and pulls her aside and asks if she's aware "those
two are criminals." Laughing, Robin says yes, and Tracy tells her to
"be careful how you get your information." Robin returns to Sonny and
Jason and jokes to them about Tracy thinking she's wearing a wire.

Tracy goes over to Ned and tells him his performance was hideous. She
tells him to go on the road and when he finally gets tired to come
back and fight for what really matters. As Lois approaches he tells
Tracy that he already has everything that matters "a career, family,
and most important, someone who loves me." Tracy tells Ned that he's
just doing this to spite her for not being the loving, doting mother,
but Ned says that he's just doing what she taught him. He's taking
what he wants and everyone else can just fend for themselves.

Ned and Lois say goodbye to Robin, Jason and Sonny. They will be back
before Robin leaves and want to have Robin and Jason over for dinner.
Lois says goodbye to Sonny and then to Brenda. As they walk out,
Lois goes over L & B business with Brenda one last time. Brenda tells
Lois that if she has any problems, she'll just consult with "the
master of sneaky business tactics" referring to Jax. Tracy comes
outside yelling to Ned not to leave, but Ned and Lois go off yelling
goodbye. Brenda goes back inside for a moment and sees Sonny just
staring off into the distance. Jax comes in to get her, and they
leave.

Kevin arrives home to find Lucy waiting there for him. He thought
they were supposed to meet at The Outback, but Lucy, looking a bit
uncomfortable, says she wanted to talk to him first. She starts
explaining about having an inspiration and when that happens you just
have to go with it. She's goes on that that's what happened to her
this afternoon, but she's not sure that he'll be happy with her
inspiration. Lucy continues attempting to explain her motives, Kevin
is looking around the room and noticing that something's not quite
right. "Lucy," he exclaims, "where are my paintings?"

Lucy tells Kevin that she moved his paintings to The Outback, and
Kevin explodes. Kevin reviews the conversation that he and Lucy had
this morning, specifically emphasizing the part where Kevin said no to
having his paintings displayed for the public to see. That being the
case, Kevin determines that what has happened is a "major invasion of
privacy" and not a hallucination. Kevin asks Lucy to explain. Lucy
tells him the story about the PR guy at The Outback. Lucy tells him
that the paintings are very good. Kevin asks her to tell him what she
likes about them, but them changes his mind and asks her to tell him
what they're about. Lucy is surprised that Kevin doesn't know the
answer to that question, but Kevin really has no idea what they're
about or why he's painting in that style. The only thing he knows is
that it terrifies him to think of them hanging on a wall during a rock
concert. Lucy apologizes for what she has done and Kevin accepts.
But, Lucy still believes that the paintings are good, and she believes
that deep down Kevin feels the same way. She manages to call him Bub
several times in the conversation. Although Kevin tells her he hates
when she does that, he really doesn't seem to mind. Somehow, Lucy
manages to turn the conversation to Mac's belief that Tom is the
stalker. Lucy hopes he's wrong, but Kevin doesn't think so. At this
point, Lucy changes topics again and tells Kevin they're going to The
Outback and they're going to have fun. She bets him that everyone is
going to be asking "who painted those wonderful paintings?" "You're
on," Kevin replies because he thinks that nobody will say a single
word about the paintings all night. Lucy asks what the wager is going
to be, and Kevin says "services rendered."

Lucy and Kevin have arrived at The Outback and are seated at their
table. Lucy tells Kevin to pay attention to Ned when he's on the
stage. She continues to say that Ned has managed to be both a
business man in addition to pursuing his passion. If Ned can do it,
so can Kevin. Kevin responds that no one came to The Outback to see
his paintings like they did to hear Ned sing, and no one cares about
his paintings. "I do," replies Lucy. "You're in love with me," says
Kevin. "Don't you ever forget it, Bub," says Lucy. Kevin smiles and
doesn't seem to mind being called Bub this time.

As Lucy is telling Robin, Sonny, and Jason about the new Jax Cosmetics
fragrance, Kevin comes back inside. Lucy asks where he was, and he
says that he just needed some fresh air. Lucy blurts out that the
paintings are Kevin's, and she thinks that he's a little nervous about
his paintings being on display. Kevin glares at her indicating he'd
rather she hadn't mentioned that the paintings were his. Sonny tells
them that he's been looking at the paintings all night. "Mother and
child, that's nice," Sonny comments. He continues to comment on the
Madonna and child theme of the paintings and says that they're really
good. Kevin is speechless. The three of them leave and Lucy asks
Kevin is Sonny's interpretation was correct. Kevin says he was, but
looks very uncomfortable with the fact that Sonny could interpret the
paintings when Kevin could not.

Kevin and Lucy arrive back at the lighthouse discussing Sonny as an
art critic. Kevin admits that once he got over the initial panic
attach, the evening was quite enjoyable. Kevin then brings up the bet
and thinks it's time to settle up. Kevin tells Lucy to pay up, but
Lucy says that she won. They discuss what exactly the bet was, and
Lucy claims that since Sonny mentioned the paintings twice, Kevin
should pay double. Kevin wonders what could happen if he refused to
pay, and Lucy responds that she'd probably have to refuse to pay and
what fun would that be. Kevin suggest that they both mutually pay,
which is more to Lucy's liking. She sits down at the opposite end of
the couch from Kevin and asks who goes first. They decide the best
idea is to meet in the middle.

** It Can't Be True, It Can't Be True
The young girl that Tom was counseling runs out of his office crying.
Tom comes out right behind her and tries to calm her down. Felicia
comes around the corner and witnesses the scene. The girl starts
yelling at Tom about his controlling her and manipulating her and
finally runs off past Felicia, who has been hiding around the corner.

Tom goes back into his office. Felicia knocks on his door and goes
in. She waits for him to finish a phone call. Felicia invites him to
The Outback, but Tom asks if they can play it by ear. He has some
things he needs to take care of. He asks if they can meet later at
Felicia's apartment, since Tom would really rather have her all to
himself. Tom notices she looks worried and assumes it's about the
stalker. He tells her not to worry because the pattern established by
the stalker has him not striking again for 48 hours. He tells her he
has to go meet someone and starts to leave the office. Felicia asks
to borrow the phone and stays behind in the office.

Felicia snoops around Tom's office. She eventually finds the folder
with his notes about the stalker and opens it while saying over and
over "please be wrong." She reads the first page and says "damn you
Mac."

Mac comes into Tom's office as Felicia is putting the file back and
getting ready to leave. She asks if he's there to arrest Tom, or if
he's looking for the file she holds up. Felicia tells Mac that he's
framing Tom. He's been set up and Mac is falling for it. Mac defends
himself saying that he's just trying to stop the stalker before
something violent happens. He tells her that he likes Tom and sees
that he makes her happy. Felicia tells him that she believes that Tom
truly loves her and he wouldn't do this to her. Felicia wants to tell
Tom about Mac's suspicions, but Mac tries to persuade her to wait
until he has more proof. She says she'll think about it.

Felicia arrives home to find her apartment has been destroyed. Mac
arrives to find her holding a picture that has been torn in half.
{NOTE: Your updater, after watching the tape several times, thinks
it's a picture of Felicia and Tom, but isn't absolutely positive.]
Mac steps into the apartment and gets a better look at what happened.
Felicia yells at him to go, and eventually he does. Felicia stands
in the living room crying.
