Heartburn Heaven at the Quartermaine Family Dinner
=========================================================================
The "family" has gathered ostensibly for a Quartermaine family dinner:
in attendance are Edward, Lila, Alan, Monica, Brenda, Jax, A.J., Justus,
Lois and Ned. Jason and Sonny come in later.
Ned and Justus discuss Edward's machinations before the Q family dinner
(in reality, an ELQ board meeting). Lois and Ned cackle about their plan
that includes Jason throwing his stock in with Ned. Edward tells Ned
that he's proposing a slight realignment in the power structure of ELQ.
Edward begins by telling everyone that Ned hasn't been giving ELQ his
best effort because he splits his time doing rock n'roll. He also says
that because Ned is going to have the added responsibilities of being a
new father, he doesn't think Ned can cut the mustard anymore. So Edward
proposes that they replace Ned as CEO with Justus. Edward wants to vote
on his proposal immediately but Ned says "just hold on a minute, old man!"
Jason comes in, accompanied by Sonny. Jason tells Ned that he sold his
12% of ELQ stock to Sonny-boy; Ned is angry at the teensy terror and
accuses him of taking advantage of Jason. Jason said that a condition
of the sale was that Sonny will ALWAYS vote his shares the way Ned wants.
Ned walks in with Sonny and introduces him as the newest board member.
Edward tries to toss Sonny out of the house and calls him a career
criminal. Ned fills the old man in on how Jason got a hold of the shares.
Edward is popping mad about having not only Jax but Sonny on the board.
He also calls Jason mentally-defective, Sonny a crime lord, and ends up
blaming Ned for everything. Then Edward calls for Ned's complete removal
as CEO; Justus and Lois object, as does Lila. She tells Edward he'll
never swing it; he disagrees because he's voting Tracy's shares, too.
Also, Edward figures that Jax is the wild card in the mix and will vote
on the "conservative" (anti-Ned) side. After a short break to make up
their minds, Lila calls for the vote. A vote of yes will keep Ned as
CEO; a vote of no will put Edward in as CEO (on an interim basis we hope).
Here's the breakdown:
Lila - YES (keep Ned) A.J. - NO (dump Ned)
Sonny - YES Edward - NO
Jax - YES Alan - NO
Ned - YES Monica - NO
So, the score is all tied up. Edward smirks and says he's going to vote
Tracy's shares and as soon as he does, Ned will be OUT. A voice from the
doorway shouts "Wait a minute!" All eyes turn to see Tracy Quartermaine
stride into the room. She's BACK!

It's all Greek to Me

Luke rails at Helena about Stefan being in Port Charles with Nikolas. He
demands to know where their hideout is in PC. Then he yells at her about
what her "bad seed" is up to. Luke asks Helena what she wants with
him (Luke)...after all, she sent for him didn't she?? Then he demands to
know why Stefan allowed Nikolas to save Lesley Lu if the Cassadines were
bent on "punishing" Laura.  Luke threatens to kill Stefan and Nikolas;
Helena laughs merrily at his threats. Again Luke demands to know where
Stefan is and Helena tells him that her son and nephew are at Windemere
on Spoon Island. He leaves by telling her "see you in hell"...she
responds with "let the games begin!" From the airplane, Luke calls Port
Chuck and leaves a warning on the home phone. He leaves a message for
Laura to implement "Plan B" [which I suppose means gather up the kids
and get the hell out of there]. [gotta say that the whole phoning-from-
the-plane-and-leaving-cryptic-message was very Maxwell Smartish...I
expected Luke to say something like "the dogs bark at midnight"...sheesh]

Meanwhile, Stefan is busy redecorating his digs on Spoon Island. He throws
out an old cracked crystal, the size of a soccer ball, and a ton of stale
skinny cigars. He instructs his servant to uncrate a big thingy...looks
like a picture to me. Later on, Luke arrives at Windemere and stealthily
opens the door. He prepares to creep the house but stops in the living
room [stunned at the tasteful decorating job Stefan has done and wondering
how he managed to texturize the walls in so short a time]. Luke is
riveted by the huge portrait of Laura, hanging on the wall over the fire-
place [and wonders briefly if Stefan knows how bad smoke and heat are to
oil paintings]. He is so wrapped up that he fails to hear Stefan enter the
room behind him. He turns and faces the dreaded Cassadine...

Laura needs to take it down a notch
=========================================================================
Laura goes to GH to see Lesley Lu. Oh No! The baby is missing and Laura
assumes that the Cassadines have kidnapped her [it was Lucky...any idiot
knows that]. Laura freaks out and Amy tries, unsuccessfully, to settle
her down as Laura yells screaming into the hall where Bobbie and Tony
also try to calm her. Lucky appears and tries to tell Laura that he (and
one of Sonny's bodyguards) removed LuLu to the safety of Aunt Ruby's place.
Laura's anger and fear over the supposed-kidnapping kick in and she climbs
all over the kid then gets hysterical when she apologizes to him. She
starts to freak out again and they finally DO give her a tranquilizer.
[The reason Laura freaked is that she had a flash-back or something to her
state of mind when the Cassadines took Nikolas away from her. She did a
wonderful job of letting us see how crazed she was when she was being held
prisoner by them.]  Lucky is worried that she had a melt-down or something;
Bobbie reassures him that he did the right thing [yeah, the right thing if
you're a doofus]. Tony also reassures Lucky that his mother will be fine.
Lucky gets a moment alone with Laura and apologizes for his actions...then
SHE apologizes to HIM again, etc., etc...stupid. She warns Lucky that the
Cassadines are very bad and says they've got to find Luke. Meanwhile, Lulu
has been returned to the safety of the hospital for now and Doc Tony insists
that Laura spend the night. She dozes off but awakens to find Nikolas
staring at her.
