LOD: Lois to Edward: "Don't get your hairnet in a tangle."

HIGH INTRIGUE AT THE PORT CHARLES HOTEL:
Tony and Alan are at the hotel, which Alan casually refers to as his
new home. They discuss the separation. Tom shows up, agitated and dressed
in black, letting them know that he and Steve had another argument the
night
before, and there is no way that Steve will compromise.
Meanwhile, upstairs in a room, Monica and Dorman are awakening after a
night
of sex.
She apologizes for not telling him about the surgery in advance, and
he says he knew about it, didn't do this for any kind of generous
reason and he admires her courage and wants her. They joke & kiss.
Downstairs, Alan, Tony & Tom discuss the HMO committee. Tom has
come by to tell them in person that he is quitting, and they try
to get him to reconsider. Alan punches the elevator button and
Monica comes out, looking a bit worn out. ;) They argue as usual,
some of which is overheard by Dorman, and he accuses her of coming
there to spy on the meeting about the committee. She agrees that
he has figured out her plan, and makes fun of his logic, relieved
that at least he has not figured out what she is REALLY doing there.
He insults Dorman, who conveniently overhears. The argument continues.
They discuss Emily, who is not thrilled with the separation but dealing
with
it. Tony goes to the hospital and tries to talk Tom out of quitting.
Tom refuses to listen and goes to Steve's office, and finds him
slumped in his chair.

ALL IN THE FAMILY, QUARTERMAINE STYLE

Edward, Jax and Ned are bantering over early morning coffee, when
Lois and Brenda walk in, glowing. They announce that L&B is suing
Eddie Maine for breach of contract. Edward thinks this is very amusing,
and commends her style. Ned says (contender for LOD) "You could give
your face a charley horse, grinning like that." They go back to
the gatehouse and have a meal together with Jax & Brenda. Note to
anyone with any power who might accidentally be reading this: PLEASE
KEEP BRENDA'S HAIR LIKE THIS, IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER!! :) Lois takes her
in to give her a bread machine, and Ned and Jax talk business & Brenda.
Ned tells him they appear to be totally happy. They compare ELQ and the
Jax family business. Jax offers Ned a job, just as another option.
Brenda and Jax leave, and Lois makes sure she knows not to electrocute
herself or anything (like Brenda could ever be satisfied being domestic,
give me a break. At least Lois and Ned know her well enough to know
this is definitely not her style, even if they are going along with it.)
(non-objective commentary/rant over now)
Lois asks cutely if Ned and Jax bonded, they kiss, he explains why
they can't go on tour, and they kiss some more, as Lois says "tell
it to the judge."

STILL YET MORE MOB ACTION ON THE UBIQUITIOUS DOCKS

Jason finally shows up, calling Sonny to check in. A man sees him,
and Carly conveniently walks out of Kelly's, and Jason pushes her against
the wall and kisses her suddenly, to blend in or something. Roommate and
I cackle wildly over the other people it could have been. Ruby? Keesha?
Gina? Kevin? The mind boggles.
He tells her he needs a place to hide, and she is intrigued. She lets
him use the phone and asks a lot of questions. Sonny tells him to
wait ten minutes and he will set up a deal. Jason offers to leave if
Carly is scared, and she says "who says I'm scared?" She says hiding out
is one of her specialties, and they have a lot in common, reinventing
themselves, and she tells him what she knows, which is his name, his room,
his bed, and his job. And that he would drop her 'in a hot minute' for
Robin Scorpio. He asks if that makes her mad. She asks him what he would
feel if she did that to him. He said he'd be mad but he'd get over it.
Carly says "I've been known to stay mad for over 20 years." Obviously
about Bobbie putting her up for adoption. Jason calls Sonny, who tells im
to bring the money & the envelope to the docks. Once there, the two
Jr. Mob dudes try to spook him, and Sonny steps out of the shadows
armed with a gun and some fun dialogue. He dares the guys to shoot Jason
and tells Jason to give them the envelope they came for. They sneer that
it is phony, and Sonny says "well, guess what, deal's off. If my boy
has it, it must be mine. Goodbye." The other guys gripe about the money
and Sonny says "Consider this an expensive lesson well learned." :)
They leave, and Jason asks how Sonny knew they wouldn't shoot him.
Sonny launches off on a convoluted explanation of brainpower and
how to stay alive in the mob. He compliments him on diverting the
guys' attention earlier by acting scared, but says he used bad judgment
or it would not have happened at all. Tells him that if he had
been able to pass off the phony list, he would have learned who his
leak was. Jason tells him that there is someone leaking it
and the guys were talking about it. Sonny says "until I find out,
everyone's a suspect." The mob guys go into the lobby of the hotel
and bitch at each other.

SECRETS SECRETS SECRETS GALORE (OR "PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT GOING
TO TURN INTO ATWT...")

Luke, Laura, Lucky and Bobbie are gazing down at Lulu, who is
rapidly regaining her health. They leave to go talk at the observation
area, and Laura and Bobbie are both tearful. Bobbie continues to focus
on how the donor could be her daughter, because it has been such a close
match. She wants to find her. Laura wetblankets her every comment,
saying that the donor deserves to be left alone since it ws
requested. She thinks Bobbie should just let sleeping dogs lie,
leave it alone, never tell Tony and hurt him needlessly. Luke tells
them that he thinks at this stage there should be no secrets, they
are husband and wife, after all, which directly contradicts what
Laura told Bobbie the other day about how she and Luke didn;t
necessarily have to tell each other everything. She gets more agitated
as the conversation continues. Luke asks her why this makes her so
uncomfortable, and she (GAG!) falls back on the Ubiquitous All-purpose
Soap Line (why is it always on a day that I update that they do this?)
"Please hold me, please. I'm tired. Hold me."
Luke and Laura go to the lounge to sit, and he talks about how it
was such a miracle (well, he comes close). He asks her directly why
she is being so discouraging toward Bobbie's quest to find the donor.
He asks her if something happened while he was in Florida.
She says yes, and then tells him that a donor was found, and they
should leave it at that. Lucky comes back, asks if they are fighting,
and when asked if he thinks they should find the donor, says no.
(Before, Lucky played a tape of Foster for Lulu, Luke has looked like
he was starting to catch on the whole episode. Luke says "That big a
secret could be very dangerous; it could cause irreparable damage."

time using this horrid editor since I lost my email to news gateway)
OK, back to the end of the show now: Lucky leaves to go talk to Lulu
again, and Luke keeps trying to figure out why Laura is acting so
jumpy and upset. She tries to reason with him, and he counters with
"Why are you so scared?" She slips and calls the donated marrow "his."
Luke then says "I think we should go home. We have something very
private to discuss." They go get in the elevator and leave. At first
I thought they were going down to the lobby to leave, forgetting
Lucky, but now I think they had been downstairs and were going
back up, and will find Lucky in Lulu's room with...
Meanwhile, Lulu is alone in her room, looking up at someone, who
is touching her gently, just sort of letting his fingers brush
her chin, etc. Lucky arrives and stares at the older boy and asks
"Who are you?"
It's obviously Nicky, Laura's Cassadine son. Boy, all hell is going
to break loose tomorrow.
