From: CUCFAN CGLASS@VUNET.VINU.EDU Subject: GH: Update for Monday June 24 Date: 28 Jun 1996 11:06:40 -0400 x-no-archive: yes It was a Bobbie-free day, for those of you keeping track. ************************************************************ "YOU DID EXACTLY WHAT YOU HAD TO DO." (Jason to Robin) Robin and Jason are at the bridge in the dark, and she has Stone's quilt square. She feels embarrassed about "losing it" during her speech, thinks she blew it. Jason tells her it was great, and she responds with how pathetic it was. They discuss Jon Hanley, and Jason talks about how love, saying "I almost wish I remember how it felt." They talk about how she knew he would be there for her (Jason), and then she tells him that she dreams about the two of them being lovers (Jason & Robin) but just can't because of these feelings she still has for Stone. He understands. The opportunity arises (again) for him to say "no problem, Robin, I've got this girl I've been taking care of that with" but he does not. Jason takes Robin home to Mac's. ****************************************************** "I AM NOT OBLIVIOUS" (Katherine to Mac) Mac and Kathy are home from the Nurse's Ball, and she's gloating up a storm, and he's ticked off. He is not pleased with her at all, and he calls her on her selfishness. Words such as "jealous" "ruthless" and "insensitive" are bandied about. Finally, she confesses she was out of control after Mac points out to her that the evening was not about her rivalry with Lucy but about AIDS and about his niece's future. She apologizes and calls herself a "preening, prancing silly goose." Immediately she says Mac should have told her that he was having Stone's quilt piece done. Robin and Jason come home. ************************************************************** "BABY, JUSTUS WARD CAN TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF" (Luke to Laura) At the hospital, they are waiting for Lulu's biopsy to come back. It has somehow been determined that it is aplastic anemia and not leukemia, don't know when that happened. Lucky is happy that it is AA and not leukemia, but Laura and Simone remind him that it's still a very serious disease and there is no simple cure, but that he may be able to help. They talk about bone marrow donation, and Lucky demands to have blood drawn immediately so that he can donate. They remind him that he may not match, and he swears he will. While he gets tested, Luke and Laura discuss genetics and what options will be if it doesn't work. They wonder how Lulu got aplastic anemia. Lulu looks at them and they wave. They begin to talk about the campaign, and Laura worries about Justus. Luke tells her not to worry about Justus. They ask Simone what's up with Justus, and she says she's not sure of anything between Justus and her. Lulu is holding steady at 103 degrees. Lucky talks about maybe there's a web page on the Internet about aplastic anemia as they wait for Lucky's blood test to come back. Simone comes back and says Lucky's blood does not match. He is agonized over this. ********************************************************************** "NOTHING CAN MAKE UP FOR ALL THE DAMAGE I HAVE DONE" (Sonny to Brenda) Brenda has come to see Sonny, and they are holding each other. She tries to comfort him because he left the Nurse's Ball upset about Stone, and she can see how much pain he is in. She tells him she under- stands how much he has lost, and that she will never let him be alone. Sonny says something that I unfortunately cannot make out. When we return to this scene, he tells Brenda that she should go, saying "I don't want to take you down with me, and that's what's gonna happen." She tells him that he is alive and has to keep going. He kisses her. He pulls her into the apartment, kissing her, and she kisses him back. They pull away from each other, and she pulls the sleeve/strap of her dress back up, and then he feels her wedding ring. The camera comes back for the next scene on the horrid Lily painting, and then shows Sonny brooding on the stairs (this was the last scene of the show) ****************************************************************** LINE OF THE DAY (Katherine to Robin): "I'M ABOUT TO TELL THE TRUTH AND THAT TAKES GREAT CONCENTRATION FOR ME." ****************************************************************** Mac apologizes for giving Robin the quilt square in public, but she is fine with it and says she will not accept his apology but is grateful that he did it. Katherine pouts as Robin shows herself to be infinitely more selfless than Katherine could ever dream of being and is rewarded with Mac's hug and approval. She says "now it's my turn." Mac goes upstairs, and Kath sits down to talk with Robin, starting with the line of the day above. She says that Robin is a role model for her even though it seems strange to say that about a younger woman. "You're just there, and you're Robin" she says, going on and on about how Robin's speech was so humbling and inspirational. They hold hands and Mac comes back. They tease each other about Mac wanting to get out of his fancy clothes, and he hugs Robin again and tells her her speech was exactly right. ************************************************************** "I DON'T DESERVE YOU." (Brenda to Jax) Brenda is asleep on the couch at Brenda & Jax's suite, still dressed in the clothes she wore to the Nurse's Ball. Jax comes in, looks at her and wakes her up. She is surprised to see him because he was supposed to be in Toronto overnight. He asks if she stayed late, and she says "pretty late" and that it was quite an evening. He strokes her hair, and she talks about Robin's speech. He asks if there is anything he can do, and she says the "Quintessential Soap Line" (tm) (borrowed from ATWT people) "Just hold me..." He holds her and she says she doesn't deserve him. He responds with "truth is, you deserve a whole lot more." They kiss. ***************************************************************** "DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE FRIENDS WITH ROBIN SCORPIO!" (Carly to Jason) Mike and Jake are drinking together at Jake's bar and laughing. Jake is going on about Sonny Corinthos and how his donation was the high point of the Nurse's Ball. She looks stunning dressed up, BTW. Jake teases about Sonny's father and how he must be proud. Mike informs her that he IS Sonny's father, and she laughs. Jason arrives and Carly pouts and watches him cross the room.Mike compliments Jason on taking care of Robin and leaves. Carly comes to him and confronts him about the fact that she went to the Nurse's Ball and saw him carry Robin off the stage after her speech. Jason's response: "Yeah?" :) She gets angry and calls him some names, tries to slap him right there in the bar, says that if he is sleeping with someone with HIV, he should tell her about it. She asks if he is having sex with anyone BESIDES Robin, and he says "I don't sleep with her." and that they are close. He asks what this is all about, since she set up the deal where they would just have sex and not tell each other anything about themselves. He indicates that he'd like to go up and have sex, and she laughs and follows him upstairs. ******************************************************************* The show ends with Kimberly McCullough (Robin) doing a public service announcement about the CDC AIDS Hotline. ****************************************************************** FGC Brenda's Warm Heart, FGC Mike-Keeper of the Comfy Black Couch.
