General Hospital
Tuesday June 4, 1996

Scene 1
Tony and Bobbie are talking about the explosion...how Lily was so happy
and the news about the baby...and then it was all over.  Tony tries to
comfort Bobbie but she is still very upset.  She cries on Tony’s shoulder
about how Lily never even got to see her own baby.  As Bobbie is crying
Carly interrupts with a question...she doesn’t realize she’s intruding.
Scene 2
Brenda is sunbathing, topless, on the yatch when a mystery man in full
scuba gear gets onto the boat.  Brenda opens her eyes as screams...Jax
runs out (with his shirt undone...yummy).  The mystery man takes off his
goggles and Jax is delightfully surprised (we still haven’t seen the guys
face).
Scene 3
Sonny is pensively (thanks to T&T for their well chosen Good Stuff word
of the week) looking at the news headline in his apartment “Wife of
Crime-Lord Slain”.  While Jason is sleeping on the couch Sonny removes a
gun from a silver attaché case, holds it for a second, and then returns
it and closes the case.  As he is about to leave Jason asks what is he
doing.  Sonny tells him that he has to make a business trip whereupon
Jason tell him “not without me”. (opening credits)
Scene 4
Jason is getting is pants on as Sonny is trying to convince him that he
appreciates the offer but no thanks.  Jason lets Sonny know it was not an
offer but a statement.  Sonny again tries to convince him that this is no
place for him, this will be dangerous, and its non of his concern.  Jason
quickly reminds him of the promise he made Robin and that Sonny isn’t
going to change his mind.
        Sonny:  You could get hurt
        Jason:  You have to die sometime
        Sonny:  Some people die too soon...then others live to long
        Jason:  I’m not afraid
        Sonny:  Maybe you should be
Sonny removes a gun from the case and hands it to Jason who picks it up
and says “Just point and shoot”.  Sonny snaps Jason’s hand down and says
you never point until you are ready to kill.  They put the gun back and
leave.
Scene 5
As the mystery man takes off his gear underneath is he is wearing a tux.
 They discuss the annual party, additional people coming, an island that
he won from Jax, etc...  The man then turns to Bren to apologize for
being so rude.  Jax introduces him as Tao.  Bren asks how he got there
since she didn’t see any ships, boats, helicopters, and they were miles
from shore when Jax informs her of the mini-submarine....and then he
introduces Tao to his wife Brenda Barrett Jax.  Tao does the usual
congrats and mentions that she must be a special lady to capture the
worlds most illusive bachelor....PS  Brenda is covering herself with a
towel the whole time.
Scene 6
Carly apologizes for interrupting and offers to leave when Tony mentions
that he actually has to go see a patient.  Bobbie and Carly talk about
Lily’s death and how sad it is loosing someone you love....they bond.
Bobby has to leave and thanks Carly for being so understanding and for
listening.  As Bobbie is walking away she runs into Mac and they discuss
the case and how it could have been a hit on Sonny.
Scene 7
Mac calls Robin from the hospital to ask if she has heard from Sonny or
Jason.  When Robin says no Mac asks her to meet him at Sonny’s apartment.
Scene 8
Back on the yatch more people have arrived.  A very attractive couple
(didn’t catch their names although I rewind a couple of time).  Brenda is
now dressed in a very pretty while number... They toast B&J on their
marriage as they look lovingly/lustfully into each others eyes (does Jax
have the best eyes you’ve seen or what).  Tao mentions the high stakes
game they play and everyone discusses last years stakes...a castle, an
island, a vineyard...Jax asks to talk to Brenda privately...He asks if
she is okay with this because he totally forgot that they were coming and
she wasn’t expecting guests.  She tells him its okay and then they
discuss the island “Cronos” and how much Jax really loves it and is sorry
he lost it...Brenda offers to win it back for him....(PS  I love his
friends)  Back to the party... Brenda and Tao discuss “Isabella”, the
yatch, and what Jax will be putting up in the game this time around.
Brenda mentions Cronos and Tao invites them to come up and visit it since
he has done some renovations.  Brenda says that they can’t do that
because they want it back.  Tao and Jax haggle over what Jax has that Tao
might want when Tao says there is nothing you own that I might want
except for Brenda.  Jax quickly tell him that he doesn’t own Brenda and
that he’s out of luck...when Brenda says that it might still work.
Scene 9
Mac and Robin search the house but no Sonny and Jason.  Robin is worried
that Sonny did something foolish to himself.
Scene 10
Sonny and Jason arrive in San Juan to see Rivera.  The guards give their
condolences about Lily and state that they have asked around but don’t
know who did this.  Sonny goes in to see Rivera and they both stare at
each other.
Scene 11
Bobby walks into her office to find Tony there with a candlelight lunch.
 She thanks him profusely for his thoughtfulness and loving.  Tony looks
a little bewildered.
Scene 12
As the party gang sits around the card table Brenda is shuffling cards.
She says that she will be Banker and Dealer.  If Tao wins he gets her
“for a limited time” if Jax wins Cronos is theirs forever.  The women
asks if Brenda “has swallowed [her] mind].  But Brenda tells Jax to just
trust her..they play.
Scene 13
Mac calls the police station and asks to know if they found out if Sonny
has left the country.  He finds out about San Juan and tells the guys to
call the San Juan police to pick up Sonny and Jason but not to mention
Rivera’s name.  Robin doesn’t understand when Mac tells her “I guess he
is going to avenge Lily’s death” when Robin says “Do you mean this man
killed his own daughter?”
Scene 14
Sonny talks to the Doctor about Rivera’s condition.  It seems that Rivera
had a stroke when he heard about Lily’s death.  That Rivera is paralyzed
except for movement in his right hand and leg, he can’t speak, but he is
sure he understands what is going on around him.  He gives his
condolences and leaves.  Sonny looks at him and tells Rivera that “you
don’t deserve to live.”  He takes out his gun....long pause.  He tells
Rivera about how he knows the bomb was meant for him and how R must have
thought that Lily was on her way down here, miles from PC.  How he not
only killed his own daughter but his grandchild as well.  That’s right
Lily was coming down to tell him that she was pregnant that they were
going to stay together and that she was so happy, happier than Sonny has
ever seen her, that she wanted to share her joy.  She wanted to see the
look on her own fathers face when she told him he will be a grandfather.
 Sonny tells him that he came their to kill him, not just for the death
of his wife but his child too, but he can see that Rivera is living in
his own hell now.  He will give R the choice that he didn’t give Sonny.
He puts the gun down by Rivera’s right hand and leaves.
Scene 15
At the game they go over the rules...  1st player to get to 9 points
without going over wins the round.  A’s are worth 1 point and the best
2/3 wins game.
First Hand... Tao has two 3’s and stays with that
        Jax has a 2 and a 3 he hits..gets a 2 and wins the round.
Second Hand...Tao gets two 4’s and stand
        Jax gets a 4 and 3 stands and looses
The score is 1 all when Brenda is offered an out with no hard feeling.
She refuses and deals.  At this point we don’t get to see the cards just
the reactions and words.
Tao gets 7 points...he’s very pleased with himself and asks if Jax can
match it.
Jax says he can not only match but top it as well..9 points HE
WINS!!!!!!!  Brenda and Jax kiss
Scene 16
Bobby thanks Tony again for the wonderful Lunch but has to leave.  As she
leaves Carly come in.  She reminds Tony about their hydrotherapy
appointment and then presents Tony will the bill for the lunch.  She says
she could see that Bobbie was under a lot of stress and she knew this
would be a nice touch and that he would have thought of this is he wasn’t
so busy.  Tony still says that they should tell Bobbie that she set it up
because he doesn’t feel he should take credit for something he didn’t do
but Carly won’t hear of it.
Scene 17
Bobbie and Tony are talking to Audrey about how great the lunch was.
Carly walks in and wishes everyone a nice afternoon and tells them that
she’s leaving.  As she gets on the elevator Tony says that they really
have to do something nice for that girl.
Scene 18
Brenda and Jax discuss the party and how much Brenda really likes his
friends.  Then she tells him that she cheated by slipping card under the
shoe and made it look like she was taking the cards from the shoe when
she wasn’t...she guesses all those days following her sister and father
around the casino’s of Europe finally paid off.  Jax mentions how their
is so much that he doesn’t know about her and she says the same.  They
discuss life and how they should never take each other for granted.
Scene 19
As Sonny walks out of the room we hear a gun shot.  One of the guards
runs in..runs out and says that Rivera is dead.  There is a long pause
and some looks between Sonny and the guards...when one of the guards
takes Sonny’s hand and kisses it..the other follows. (I guess there’s a
new Godfather in town now)
