HEAT AND HORMONES AT THE BROWNSTONE
Tony and Lucas are at Lucas' lemonade stand and Tom comes up and drinks about
a quart. Felicity comes out, on her way to get ice. Tom and Filly
flirt, and Tony asks "How do the two of you ever finish a conversation if
you both have to have the last word?" Felicia answers, smugly, "we have
Verrrrry Looooooong Conversations" and Tom says sometimes they don't
finish for hours. Tony asks about the credit card fiasco. It was a
mistake, had been erroneously reported stolen. Carly comes skating up
and Tony and Carly chorus "what are YOU doing here?" Carly was supposed
to meet Bobbie but B. has been delayed. She is about to leave, but Lucas
wants her to stay, and maybe teach him how to skate. Tony hasn't had
time. Carly talks Tony into coming along, too. Tom will lend him the
set, or even give it to him, now that Tom has some different exercise plan.
Felicia goes for the ice and Tom accompanies her, but does remember to
send down the skates for a very reluctant Tony. (The Cairo adventurer
seems to have gotten lost.) Carly tells Lucas that girls go bananas over
atletic guys, and we get to watch Felicia prove her right. At least the
ice cubes are better than the honey, but "yick" anyway. T&F are on the roof.
Hot asphalt on the back, oh, yes. And Bobbie comes up looking for Carly
and Lucas. Felicia's head appears... she's, uh, "fixing the air
conditioner." She's, uh, "on the verge of a breakthrough." Bobbie tells
her to "have at it." Bobbie goes back downstairs to a slightly shaken Tony,
who fell down. Carly and Tony banter about skating, to Bobbie's evident
confusion. Then Tom and Felicia come down. The air conditioner was
fixed, they "pulled it off", they, uh, "gave it a couple of good bangs."

SWEET HEAT
Jason and Robin run into each other. Robin "shares" her cold drink with
him (in other words, he drinks it all.) He then drinks from a hose and
points it at her, and she says the Really Stupid Thing "don't you DARE
do that!" [Red flag to a bull. I was sure she would be soaked.]
Jason wants to swim and she mentions the Quartermaine estate, with their
pool and lake [not "THE Lake", I guess.] They sneak onto the Q. grounds
but the boathouse or wherever the suits are kept is locked. Jason finds
the initials "J.Q. + K.W." carved into a bench, and finds out about Karen.
They go skinny-dipping, but Robin has gone in with her clothes on, first,
so they are wet and cold. He gives her his t-shirt, which looks like a
classy black dress on her. They talk about Stone. She remembers the
boathouse party. "I get sad when I miss him, but I like the memories."
Jason and Robin kiss. Robin says it could be dangerous because she was
enjoying it too much. They dance, and Jason says "You give me a reason
to look forward to tomorrow."

BRENDA MAKES HER MOVE; OR THE UPDATER'S LAMENT [WHY ME, OH LORD?]
Lily is playing the lullaby and crying when the doorbell rings. It's
Harry. He thought Sonny would be home before this, he has an updated
"word on the the street." Meanwhile BrainDead is leaning against a post
[where is Officer Johnson with his prostitution arrests when we need him?]
and Sonny is watching her and one or both of them are fantasizing a kiss.
Sonny walks past, she mournfully gazes after him. This is the same
location where she and Miguel were dirty-dancing the video. I repeat,
she is One Sick Puppy.
Lily and Harry talk. NOTHING has been right since they got back
from Canada. [Tell me about it!] "I will NOT utter that woman's name in
my house!" She's not buying Sonny's reassurances any more. He's only
going through the motions. Harry thinks Lily is the best thing that ever
happened to Sonny. Lily asks "But does SONNY think that?" Harry says
Sonny is smart just as the man himself comes in. Lily goes upstairs.
Harry wonders what's going on with Sonny. He hasn't forgotten what he
say and Lily's not smiling. "What are you thinking? Have you forgotten
that Brenda cannot be trusted?" Brenda is putting them all in jeopardy.
She will bring the organization down around their ears. Sonny should
look into his soul [he used to have one, pre-SIDAR] and "figure out what
this woman is really worth to you and how much you're willing to give up
to get her back into your bed." [Tell it like it is, Harry!]
Harry leaves. Lily tells Sonny she went to the trial to support
Detective Garcia. "Ask me next time." She made dinner reservations at
a seafood restaurant out of town [let's hope Brenda wasn't bugging the
phone!] The phone rings. It's Brenda. "I need to see you. It's really
important." She will meet Sonny on the docks. Sonny tells Lily there's
a fire he has to put out, and leaves.
BrainDead is there [Vanessa Marcil is terrific! I hate BrainDead
but love the acting!] "Sonny, I love you. I can't get past it. And I
know you feel the same way too, right?" [you love me I know you love me,
you came to me at Kelly's and told me you loved me...] "You don't want me
to interrupt." "Nod your head." He does. Brenda has "thought this
through very carefully for a long time." [Riiiiiiight.] She tells him he
can stay married [nice of her, yes?] and she'll be his mistress. Sonny
tells her to THINK. It's not fair to her. He wants her more than
anything, but he can't do it like this.
Brenda bursts into tears. Sonny hugs her. Lily sees this.

[Updater sigh.]
