General Hospital Update
Wednesday, April 17, 1996

The Wednesday Afternoon Pool Club
---------------------------------------------
Luke, Laura, and Mike are in "The Back Room" at Lukes.  Mike is playing
pool
while Luke and Laura discuss Garcia's questioning of Lucky.  Lucy bursts
in and says what a coincidence it is that all of the interested parties
are there.  She tells them she has an idea that Lukes should be a coffee
house during the day where people could cruise through cyberspace.  They
could even have poetry readings.  Luke nixes both ideas.  Lucy then says
that they need to redecorate and she has brought swatches.  She likes
the black, but they could go with the midnight blue.

Luke once again nixes the idea of redecorating.  Laura asks Lucy what's
the matter, if the redecorating is about losing Deception.  Lucy tells
her how upset she is about losing her company.  Luke questions why she
trusted Edward in the first place.  Lucy tells them that she's going to
get back at both Edward and Kathy.  Harry comes in and waits for Sonny.
 Lucy and Laura comment on the investigation of Damian's murder and how
the police are handling it.

Sonny comes in and he and Harry talk.  Harry tells him that the
Northeast courier was ambushed and the money is missing.  Sonny tells
Harry to find out who might have taken the money.

Justus has joined the group at Lukes and asks Luke what Garcia said to
him.  Luke tells him that Garcia said the Luke killed Damian.  Justus
tells him the evidence is just circumstantial.  Lucy comments that Luke
has nothing to worry about with Justus as his lawyer.  Luke tells her
that Justus isn't his lawyer because of the reelection campaign, but
Lucy doesn't think that is a good reason.  Laura tells her that they
need Justus as a councilman, and Luke's well being really isn't her
concern.  Lucy walks away and joins Mike at the pool table.  Luke goes
to talk to Sonny who tells him that if he did kill Damian, he'll take
care of him.  Sonny asks Luke if he killed Damian.  Luke replies that he
did.  Sonny says "liar".

Laura apologizes to Lucy for what happened earlier.  Lucy invites Laura
and Luke to dinner at the lighthouse.  Laura tries unsuccessfully to get
out of it, but Lucy won't let her.  Luke comes over and Laura tells him
about Lucy's invitation.  Luke asks who's cooking and Lucy replies
"Kevin, of course."  Reluctantly, they agree to go.  Harry comes back
and tells Sonny that the courier was found in the morgue, but the money
is still missing.

Mike comments on their afternoon gathering calling is the "Wednesday
afternoon pool club."  Luke says that maybe Sheryl Crow will do an album
about them.  Suddenly, Lucy gets one of her psychic visions.  Everyone
gathers around and asks what she sees.  She tells them that she doesn't
have a clear picture, but it's getting clearer.  She sees something that
looks "like a mugshot with numbers underneath.  She sees L. Spenser and
tells them that Luke is going to be arrested.

An Angry Young Man

Jason reports to work on the docks.  The foreman tells him that he is to
report over at the loading dock.  When he gets there, Monica is waiting
for him.
Jason thinks that Emily told Monica where to find him, but Monica tells
him that she overheard his conversation with Lila.  She asks him how
he's doing and he says he's fine.  She tells him that she made a mistake
letting him go.  She wants to get to know the man that he is now.

Monica asks Jason to tell her about Jason Morgan.  He's tells her that
he lives in a boxcar, he only has a motorcycle, he doesn't look ahead or
behind and has none to answer to.  Monica says it sounds lonely, but
Jason likes it because he has no one to answer to.  She asks if he has
friends and he says one.  Monica says she won't ask anything from him;
she just doesn't want to be shut out.  Jason decides that she'll always
want something more and walks away.

The foreman tells Jason to get to work, but he gets mad and throws a
crate into the river then quits.  Robin shows up looking for Jason, and
the foreman tells her Jason is a lunatic.  He tells her what just
happened and advises her to stay away from him.

Jason goes back to the boxcar and gets the bag of money and takes off.

Robin goes to the boxcar looking for Jason.  She sees a small plant that
is growing in a hard-hat and gives it some water.  She sits down on
Jason's mattress and waits for him.  Meanwhile, Jason is at the bus
station.  He's got the bag of money and a ticket in his hand.

A Freight Train Named Carly
------------------------------------
At the 2nd floor Nurses Station, Bobbie is talking to Tony, obviously in
a
very good mood.  Amy mentions this fact to Tony who replies that "ever
since she stopped having the nightmares, she's a different person."
Bobbie leaves just before Carly arrives.  Carly asks Amy how many
doctors are associated with the Wellness Center.  Amy answers that there
are no doctors permanently assigned, but they are readily available.
Amy continues to tell Carly that there's only a therapist
at the Wellness Center.  She's surprised that Carly didn't know that
because she was working with a Wellness Group in Florida.  Carly covers
her mistake by saying that the groups could work differently and she's
just nervous about doing a good job.

Tony and Dr. Dorman are in the lounge arguing about the usefulness of a
medical program.  Steve comes over and joins the discussion.  Carly asks
Amy who the 3 are and she starts by pointing out Steve.  Before Amy can
finish her sentence, Carly is off to join the group.  Amanda Barington
arrives for the Wellness Center donors meeting.

Carly introduces herself to Steve and they discuss how wonderful Monica
is.  Steve tells her he wants to grab a cup of coffee before his next
meeting, but Carly volunteers to get it for him.  As she goes off to get
the coffee, Tony asks her to take some magazines to a patient.  She
blows him off saying that she is on an important errand for Dr. Hardy.
Carly returns with the coffee and Steve and Amanda are talking about the
meeting being 20 minutes late to start.  Carly jumps in and says it's
her fault.  She gathers everyone together and starts the meeting, while
Amy looks on.

Monica arrives at the hospital and Steve comments about what a good job
Carly has done.  Carly sees Monica and steps aside and lets Monica take
over.  Bobbie joins Tony who comments about the job Carly did with the
meeting.

Monica thanks Carly for handling the meeting.  She calls Tony over and
introduces Carly.  They have a somewhat ackward meeting then Tony
leaves.  Monica notices and Carly explains what happened earlier.  Carly
goes off to get a brochure for Amanda Barington.  Bobbie joins Monica in
the lounge and Monica tells her about the meeting with Jason.  Monica
tells her she doesn't know what to do.

Tony and Carly meet again in the hallway.  Carly apologizes and tells
him that she took the magazines to his patient.  She leaves but says
that she's sure they'll see each other again.
