Subject: GH:Update for Monday, 4/15/96 Sent: 4/18/96 4:12 PM From: Tahnda Bailey, tahnda@batgirl.water.ca.gov General Hospital Update for Monday, 4/15/96 by Tahnda Bailey Well friends, while the rest of us were scrambling to finish up those pesky tax forms and get them in the mail, Judgement day came and went in PC with nary a mention. EdQ didn't rant about having to ante up, and Luke wasn't worried about covering the juggling act he did for Bobbie's $20,000. OH well, that's life in the soap city.... **A Family United** Luke and Laura continue to banter and tease each other about Damien's murder when Garcia arrives to question Luke. As they express outrage at this obvious police harrassment, Garcia informs them that he has spoken to Lucky. The Spencer parents are even more incensed as they question Garcia about trouncing the kid's rights (no parent was present). Garcia informs them that Lucky came to him in a feeble attempt to protect Luke. He then questions Luke about a missing lighter and some sports equipment which Luke had donated to Ward House. It is then learned that Damien bit the dust via a Louisville Slugger (IOW he was wacked by a bat). **A Family Divided** EdQ visits Nedly in the gatehouse complaining that Nedly is neglecting the old family business. The conversation turns to Ned's current troubles with his wife. EdQ is understanding that sometimes business has to take a backseat to real life and family matters. Nedly vows to get Lois back, "by any means necessary". EdQ knows exactly what he means. Meanwhile Brenda and Lois chatter about Lois' news. How can she keep her pregnancy a secret from Nedly? Won't that make Lois the same as Nedly, determining what's right for everyone and acting accordingly? Lois tells Brenda if thats what she thinks, she doesn't know her (Lois) as well as she should. How can she (Lois) forget that Nedly called her an outsider? How can she pretend that their problems have magically vanished because she is carrying the Q-heir? She doesn't see how her conditions makes any difference in the overall scheme of things. Brenda says that sometimes you have to take the good with the bad (a not to subtle reference to her situation with Sonny). Nothing is resolved and Lois is still very torn. **A Family Adrift (sort of)** Lucy is cleaning out her office at Deception and bemoaning the fates that have brought her to this point. Jax arrives and Lucy gives him heck for putting her in this position. What? If Jax had told her about the bad blood between him and EdQ, Lucy could have got ownership of Deception another way. Jax counters that if she had had the money to do so in the first place, he wouldn't have been asked to play in the first place. Lucy thinks that little detail is beside the point, why didn't Jax see this coming? Not to worry, together they should be able to come up with a plan that will put the screws to both EdQ and Katy. Lucy's eyes light up at the idea and they're off to see Brenda to begin the first part of "what goes around comes around". They go to see Brenda and Lucy asks her to step down as the face of Deception. What's in it for her? Satisfaction (remember, she is best friends with the Ashtons). Not good enough, What else? Prestige (Jax Cosmetics is huge). Not enough, What else? Money. I'll do it. Lucy then corners Jax and ask for a position for herself, at the TOP. Afterall, she is management material and she has proven herself at Deception (if you discount the last year), etc. Jax and Brenda being so alike, Jax asks the obvious, what's in it for him? Lucy (remember, she is a mega, mondo, super manager as displayed by her stealing Brenda away from Katy). Not enough, what else? Satisfaction (seeing EdQ and Katy squirm when they realize that Lucy landed on her feet, and their underhanded deed didn't have the desired affect). Not enough, what else? Lucy draws a blank, but Jax doesn't. Lucy's 10.63% of ELQ stock for the entire company. Lucy is shocked, Jax is smirking (apparently its what he wanted all along). She has to think about this one. Fine, let me (Jax) know what you decide. -- As always, a totally impartial update by.....Tahnda@water.ca.gov Feel free to send all comments, criticisms and flames!
