                 Update for Monday, April 1, 1996

 Apparently it was April Fool's Day all around PC, only I
 wasn't laughing.  Lately, things seem a little, well, what's the
 word....lame.  Yeah, thats the word LAME!!!

 Once again, we join an accident about to happen.  As everyone
 ribs EdQ about his new job, Brenda walks away from the crowd
 (apparently trying to avoid Sonny).  Suddenly, there is a
 screech of tires, a flash of headlights, and whamo, she's
 broadsided.  Lily tried to push her out of the way, but as expected,
 she was seconds too late.  Jax calls an ambulance and Brenda is
  rushed away, with Sonny and Lily hot on her heels (Lily was
 injured saving the hapless Brenda's life).  Lois and Jax also
 head to GH.  Those inside Luke's quickly find out what
 happened and express horror.  Nedly also hears and rushes over
 to GH also.  At the hospital, Brenda is wisked away for an
 evaluation.

 With no next of kin available, Lois and Nedly begin directing her
 care with Jax pinch-hitting from the sidelines (he offers to fly in
 someone from Switzerland, but the offer is declined....for now).
 Brenda awakens and asks for Sonny, but no one is paying her
 any attention.

 Sonny divides his time between Brenda and Lily.  He is angered as
 he realizes that it was no accident.  Lily confesses that she is
 scared because she thinks the car may have been after her, the
 mobster's
 wife, but Sonny has Harry contact Rivera, because he has other
 ideas re: this "accident".  Sonny gets really pissed when Garcia
 shows up and tells Lily that this is how life is when you are
 a mobster's wife, you never know who's going to get hit.  Lily is
 cool, but has to restrain Sonny, who wants to put Garcia's lights
 out, knock his block off, help him find rest with the fishes....
 well you get my drift.  Lily puts on a brave front as she encourages
 Sonny to see about Brenda, but she can't hide her pain from Harry
 who tells her Sonny would move heaven and earth to keep her safe.

 Meanwhile in another part of town, Robin worries about %, who keeps
 tempting fate to put a finish to what AJ started.  He tells her to
 stop smothering him, Jason IS dead, and then proceeds to worry about
 her welfare.
 She throws his words right back at him, he apologizes, and offers
 to escort her to her car.  She accepts and they trek over to Luke's.
 There Luke gives him his severance pay, and offers to set him
 up with a construction gig (amazing how unemployment doesn't
 seem to be a problem in that part of the world).  It is here
 that Robin finds about Brenda and begins to fret over her.

 % runs into AJ and Keisha who are leaving Lukes.  Keisha is COLD
 to % and he doesn't seem to mind.  When AJ questions Keisha, she
 states that she has seen the light and given up on %.
