Subject: GH: Update Tues Mar 19 Date: Sun, 24 Mar 1996 04:53:41 GMT From: chips@eskimo.com (:crp:) General Hospital Update Mar 19 1996 It is morning. In the Q den Monica, Alan and EdQ are digesting. EdQ sees that the vase is still missing and threatens to have Jason arrested. A&M try to calm him down. Alan then tells EdQ to sit down before reading the paper. EdQ rebuffs him but when he sees that Ward House burned down, he sits down stunned. A&M fill EdQ in on all the details, including Justus' attempt to save Damien. Lila and Emily enter and tell what they saw on tv. Couple of minutes later Justus appears. He tells them that he was driving around aimlessly and finally decided he needed to be with his family, so he came to the Q mansion. He takes some tea from Emily as she leaves for school, and talks about the loss. EdQ tells him that Ward House will be rebuilt. AJ comes in and asks if he could accompany Justus back to the apartment where Keisha is recovering. Bobi, relieved that she had a night without visions, gets up to check on baby Jamie. Tony gets up and the two inspect the baby. Bobi playfully talks about keeping the baby by using an assumed name and Tony plays along. Bobi though seems to start considering the possibility and Tony brings up the problem of coverage at home. Tony is worried about Bobi's reaction and when he runs into Kevin at the nurses station he asks for some time. [for some reason, we are kept waiting 30 seconds, watching Kevin fill out forms.] Tony tells Kevin of his concerns and when Kevin asks Tony how he would feel about another child in the house, Tony pauses. Before he could answer he is paged for ER. Luke intercepts Lucky as the kid stuffs food down and gets ready to rush to the hospital to see Laura and Lulu. Luke tells him to do something his mother would really appreciate and brings up a bag holding the Q vase. He tells Lucky to return the vase and apologize. A discussion about responsibility occurs. Lucky says he will reimburse Luke for the expense of redeeming the vase. Luke asks how, Lucky doesn't catch on and doesn't say the magic words of 'not by gambling'. Luke gets a little frustrated and says this parenting thing is rough and will drive him bonkers. He tells Lucky that he won't be a Wally Cleaver and walk Lucky up to the door, etc. *but* he does expect Lucky to do the proper thing. Jason, in a black t-shirt, is waiting at LP when Mike arrives. Mike is trying to figure out why Jason is there in the morning when valet work starts at 3PM. Their coversation is such that it reminds Mike of his talks with Sonny. Mike speaks in sentances and gets responses in monosylables. Mike tells Jason to park his motorcycle in the side alley. While Jason is doing that, Keisha arrives looking for Luke. Mike tells her Luke isn't there yet and Keisha decides to wait outside for his arrival. Jason comes back, and being the self-centered bastard that he truly is , demands to know why she followed him. She tells him that she is waiting for Luke and what is Jason doing there? She is suprised he is working there. He starts to go inside when she tells him that Ward House and everything with it burned down and is gone. He is incredibly rude to her and she breaks down in tears. Eventually she works her way to CSF office. AJ arrives and tells her he was worried about her. He had been looking all over and several times everywhere. She tells him about her confrontation with Jason and that she plans to go back to Philly. Jason is outside sweeping up , still wearing just his t-shirt, when Luke arrives. Luke is also suprised at seeing Jason there so early. Mike comes out with a jacket. He asks Jason to put it on, Jason is rude and says no. Luke tells him to wear the jacket, its part of the uniform. He talks a bit about the first valet (Stone) and how good he was. Luke then tells Jason to help Mike with the liquor inventory. Mike joshingly asks if Luke thinks that he is dipping into the inventory; Luke responds that the numbers haven't added up since Sonny sold out [i couldn't tell if he was joking]. Mike and Luke continue to banter as they go in, leaving Jason alone outside. Robin comes by and stops short upon seeing a guy's back wearing Stone's jacket. Jason turns and asks if she is ok. She tells him that he looked like her friend who used to work there. Later that night, Robin and he meet up again. He finds out from Robin that Stone was her friend and the first, ... valet. Jason is attracted nice to her. Neither of them are sleepy and Jason offers a motorcycle ride, which she accepts. Jason gives her his jacket, he can't feel cold either because of stupidity or nerve damage and helmet and rides off without wearing head gear. Justus is back at the Q place, making phonecalls. He leaves to meet the fire marshall. EdQ paces for a couple of seconds and sees the empty space where the vase should be. He says thats it , he is calling the police. Alan says "Oh, Father, don't be an ass." An argument starts up just as Emily comes in, concerning the insignificant costs of the vase compared to other 'projects' the family is involved with, including as Alan brings up , keeping Tracy at bay. Emily screams for them to stop, and then says she stole the vase. They, of course, don't believe her and the ranting really starts up. In the midst of it the following occured: EdQ: He (jason) stole one and then nearly ran me down in my own house. Monica: It is my house. Alan: I bought it for you [hey, it was funny to me] Lucky then arrived. He apologized, told them the whole story and apologized again. They accept his apology and tell him that he is still wellcome. He leaves for home and Emily sees him to the door. At the door he really apologizes to Emily. At home, Lucky can't sleep and is still up when Luke comes home. He tells Luke that the Q's grace made the whole thing worse. Justus comes by after his talk with the marshall and gives EdQ the remains of a photo of Bradly.
