Date: Mon, 11 Mar 1996 11:15:56 CST From: U14780@uicvm.uic.edu Subject: GH: Update for Fri 03/08/96 The General Hospital Update for Friday, March 8, 1996 Written By: kathy%gundog@lbl.gov (Kathy Ellington) ============================================================================== Update for the week of Mar 4 - Mar 8 from the local newspaper: When Lily was fired from her teaching job because of her ties to organized crime (via Sonny and her father), Sonny "persuaded" the school principal to let her keep the job. Jason got rough with Keesha after she kissed him in hopes that he would remember their love. Keesha later cried on A.J.'s shoulder that it was over between her and Jason. Jason was unable to control his anger or his temper and he trashed his room at the Q mansion then stormed out after a confrontation with Monica. After being threatened with bodily harm, Lucky stole money from Luke's Club to pay a gambling debt. Mike and Luke suspected that Lucky was in some kind of trouble but didn't know about the stealing. Jax let Damian know that he has no intention of entering into a business deal with him. Justus rejected Damian's offer to buy Ward house. Laura became worried when reporters harrassed Justus about helping Sonny during a press conference. Katherine felt left out when Justus turned to Mac and Felicia to help with his political campaign. Mac and Jax hate each other. Tom and Felicia had a romantic date on the rooftop of the brownstone, which Tom had decorated to look like Paris. Bobbie continued to have disquieting dreams. And now the Friday 3/8/96 update... JasonBorg: the wackies Quartermaine of all =========================================================================== In his bedroom at the mansion, Jason talked to Edward. Edward told Jason that everybody has had enough of the kid's rebellious attitude and it was time to cut the crap. He told Jason that no matter how he felt, the kid should be able to muster up some common courtesy when dealing with family members. Jason's bored answer was, essentially, "eat my shorts, old man!" Later on he worked out in the Q gym with A.J. Shortly they got into a beef over Jason's treatment of Keesha and Jason told A.J. to help himself to her, if that's what all the hassle is about, because he doesn't want any part of her. Then Jason, who had been unable to get a rise out of A.J., punched him in the jaw. The two of them mixed it up with a fist fight until Alan burst in and separated the two. A.J. left and Alan tended to some cuts on Jason's face. In a very moving scene Alan described his feelings of love for Jason...and his feelings of loss. Jason seemed to be touched by it but tried not to show it. He went upstairs and seemed to be okay, but he became increasingly agitated by being surrounded by "otherJason's" trophies and pictures of A.J. and Keesha. Then JasonBorg went ballistic and in an uncontrollable fury trashed the bed- room, breaking mirrors, slashing pictures, and throwing chairs out of windows, etc. Monica came in and yelled at him to stop. She slapped him across his face, more to break the spell he was under than because she was angry. He stopped short and they had an ugly exchange that ended like this: Monica in an anguished cry: "You have destroyed everything I have left of him!" JasonBorg, one inch away from her face and screaming: "HE'S DEAD!!" Then Jason ran from the room and Monica collapsed in tears. Alan and Emily found her and Alan knelt to comfort her while Emily looked around horrified. Tom and Filly: most boring couple in PC...ever =========================================================================== Felicia and Tom had their big "mystery date" on the rooftop of the brownstone which he had decorated to look like Paris [yawn]. It rained on them again. Bulwark: bad juju on the doorstep =========================================================================== Bobbie mooned over an old picture of B.J. The nightmares she had been having were making her increasingly disconnected from her regular life and she forgot to pick up the kids from their arts and crafts class after school. Felicia filled in and asked Bobbie if everything was okay. Bobbie assured her things were hunky-dunky. She fell asleep on the couch and had another nightmare. Bright lights coming through slatted blinds, a lamp with beaded fringe with a red scarf thrown over it, a red rose, red translucent scarves rippling in a breeze, her hands coming through the slats of a headboard and gripping them. A man's voice saying softly "it's time...it's time"... she awoke with a start when Lucas cried "Mommy"! She held him tightly on the couch. [SPECULATIVE SPOILER: okay, originally I thought the nightmares harkened back to an abortion Bobbie had during her whoring days which might explain her obsession with babies now and her inability to conceive. Friday's show, how- ever, made me think that this nightmare/dream was about giving birth. Maybe Bobbie got pregnant when she was a prostitute and was forced to give up the baby for adoption. Then she suppressed the memory until now when it was re-awakened by her interactions with the teenage mom who unwillingly gave her baby away. This looks like the beginning of an "I-gave-my-baby-up-20-years ago-but-now-I-MUST-find-her" storyline, doesn't it? Also, if she's so baby- obsessed, why don't she and Tone Loc just ADOPT a child?? They've got the Ward house full of babies that need homes, right? Come on, writers, get with it!] Lucky: quickly running out of "Luck" =========================================================================== Lucky sniffed around Luke's office at the club. He found the cash box and had just looked at the money and put the box back when Mike surprised him. Mike had some friendly advice about "getting in too deep" etc., but he didn't men- tion the cash box [maybe he didn't see the kid put it back]. Lucky was sort of cold and jerky with Mike. Mike then sought out Luke at the bar and told him that he thought there was something wrong with the Luckster. Luke, who didn't want to hear it, listened to Mike with ill-concealed hostility and accused him of butting into his and Lucky's relationship. However, he did go into the back room to talk to Lucky. During Luke and Mike's talk, however, Lucky made up his mind and he opened the cash box and extracted the money he owed Harper. Actually, he had used the emergency "escape" money to pay Harper and he was going to use this money to pay back the emergency fund. He was just going out the back door when Luke came in. Dad asked Lucky if everything was okay and the kid replied he was cool. When he tried to question him further and tried to get him to hang around the club a bit longer, Lucky told Luke that he "had to go, y'know?" Luke let the kid go but looked worried [good!]. end end send comments, questions, and flames to kathy%gundog@lbl.gov end end
