           Update for Monday, 3/4/96

Today was a day for OFFERS

**An Offer that he Couldn't Refuse**
Laura is still very busy (Wife, Mom, student, campaign manager,
foundation president), but on camera.  Lu is still having ear
problems, but again, Mom is talking about them, on camera, and
looking great I might add.  She and Luke leave UNLucky to go to a
press conference for Justus.  UNLucky practices with a deck of
cards.
 UNLucky goes to the local gambling hall and accepts an offer to
join
in the current game.  UNLucky accepts an offer to  to raise the
stakes wins big (of course, he is being set up).  On cue, his luck
changes and he's suddenly $976 ind debt.  Harper puts the squeeze on
UNLucky and tells him payment is due by 8:00pm......tonight.
UNLucky
returns home, desperate.  While the Spencers (minus Lulu) are
hanging
out in the living room, the phone rings.......Its HARPER!!!

**An Offer is Refused, too Bad it was NEVER made**
Once again, they are at a restaurant (but Jax is the only one with
food).  They chatter, nice video, very sexy, reminds me of the
boxing
ad for Deception.  Suddenly Brenda has a revelation, you're Jax of
Jax Cosmetics.  Duh, I didn't make the connection before.  Damien
wanders in, and meets Jax.  Jax and Damien exchange unpleasantries.
Jax takes the bull by the horns and informs Damien that if he was
thinking about trying to do business with him, don't.  All offers
WILL be refused.  Damien tells him its Jax's loss and leaves.
Brenda
compliments him on his ability to spot trouble (i.e. Damien), Jax
compliments her on whatever.  They chatter more.

**Offers that are *EASILY* Refused**
Justus is practicing for his press conference.  The Mayor stops by
to
again offer Justus an out, resignation.  Justus refuses after a
little sniping.  Edward arrives and offers his support, after all
"we
are family".  Justus appreciates the thought but gently refuses the
questionable help.  Simone arrives and offers political support,
ONLY.  Justus tries to get more, Simone refuses...Hard (If I'm here
for anyone its GrannyMae)  Justus tries once again, and Simone
offers
to leave.  Justus backs down, and Simone stays, reluctantly.
Councilman Ward takes the podium and slams Damien as the root of all
that is evil and bad in PC.  Damien, watching on TV, is *NOT* a
happy
camper.  The press is relentless, interrupting Justus to ask
embarrassing questions about his family and personal habits, Justus
finally loses it.  Laura rushes to podium, trying to do damage
control.

**An Offer that is Considered**
Robin and Keisha chatter before the press conference (see above).
Keisha whines about how life has got her down and she is so alone
(first Jason, then GrannyMae).  Jason is especially hard, because
its
like *he* died (and I thought % was insensitive).  Robin jolts as
tho
she has been hit.  "NO, its not like Jason *died*, you can still
touch him.  Love doesn't just vanish.  I still love Stone with all
my
heart, and I honestly can feel his love all around me."  She
counsels
the hapless female, don't give up on Jason.  Maybe you should be
more
direct.

Taking Robin's advice to heart, Keisha goes to see % while he is
working out.  An oiled and fit % is rude.  Keisha tries to bring him
up to speed on Justus fiasco of a news conference.  She concludes
with how Justus had to give up.  % thinks that giving up is a good
idea, and gives Keisha a meaningful stare.  % finally tells her to
get lost, how much more direct can he be?  Keisha decides to stand
her ground and tells him how much he means to her again, how he was
her first and only lover, how good they were together, how wonderful
they can be again, etc.  She then lays a big ole smooch on him.  %
pulls back a little, then grabs her in a big ole bear hug and lays
one right back on her.  Something about that bear hug broke thru to
Keisha that this wasn't Jason afterall.  She tries to pull back, but
% has decided that he likes this kissing thing.  Keisha demands that
% let her go.  He gets ugly about it, "its what you want isn't it.
Let's do it right now"  Keisha is terrified, and breaks free,
running
from the room in tears. In wanders Brenda to work-out, but is run
off
by a pissed, rude %. % looks after Keisha, hungrily.

In the park, Keisha remembers Jason, and their 1st time together.
She remembers him telling her she was the single most essential
thing
in his life.......
