WILL YOU HAVE SOME CHEESE WITH THAT WHINE?
Geeze, what a whiny whiny show!

The only thread that wasn't, was the FEAR one, a short view of Tom and
Felicia. Felicia is rubbing down the bar when Tom comes in. She asks if
she can get him something, and he suggests snow, skates, and moonlight.
She doesn't want to go into the cold voluntarily, so he then suggests LUKE'S
or a peanut-butter sandwich at Kelly's. Felicia says "I don't think so"
and in a flash of originality, Tom tells her "the only thing we have to
fear is fear itself."

KATYWHINE: (In what I hope is her last appearance. Katherine in full
scheming persona was back on Friday, and it was a real pleasure to see
her!) Mac is finally actually doing some work at the Outback. Katherine
has finally put on some clothes, and comes in. She whines that Damian is
getting away with it. She wants to have a confrontation with Garcia et. al.
They're all at LUKE'S and Lucy comes by, a little miffed that she
wasn't invited. They all tell what's been going on. KatyWhine goes on
and on about being tortured. "What do I do to protect myself?" [I don't
CARE, Katy, just do it somewhere ELSE!] Luke points out that they're all
in the shooting gallery now, Justus, Lucy, Luke, everyone.
At the Outback, Mac and Katherine eat, Damian comes in, poor
little Katherine looks scared, Mac throws Damian out.

BOBBIEWHINE:
Bobbie wakes up from her disturbing dream again. She is
distracted, so the phone rings and Tony answers it and she doesn't
notice. He says "The hospital burned down. Gosh. What am I going to do
with my day?" She doesn't notice. He finally semi-gets her attention.
She tells him about having a dream, and he goes into Freud-mode: "Vy
don't you LIE DOWN and tell ze doctor aboud it?" and she says she can
stand. He listens to the dream and finally gets her full attention. She
is late to work.
She comes into the hospital and looks for Diane. Audrey looks
perplexed. After work Tony goes to LUKE'S where he hears about the San
Antonio adventure. Lucy suggests he take Bobbie to Paris. Tony is
thinking the Caribbean, which horrifies Lucy, though Luke assures her the
whole Caribbean isn't like Sick Duck Island. Tony says they can't go
anywhere anyway, but Bobbie is feeling really bad. When she comes in
Luke talks to her, and Bobbie says she's cold and gray inside.

JASONWHINE:
The Quartermaine Formerly Known as Jason (Tahnda's "%" symbol
is very fitting!) is at breakfast with Lila and Edward. Edward teases
him about eating high cholesterol stuff, and % asks why he should care.
Lila wants him to be sure to save room for his favorite oatmeal the way
he likes it, and % looks at the slop and loses his temper, breaking a
vase. Edward says this was Lila's favorite vase, and Jason should
apologize. Lila tries to soothe it over, and Alan and Monica try to make
Edward stop, but Edward is adamant. Alan tries to apologize, Lila
apologizes to Jason, Edward is furious. % finally mumbles: "I didn't
mean anything." Then % and Monica and Alan confront each other. "When
are you going to get the message? You're not talking to Jason, you're
talking to me."
Edward interrupts and gets shouted down by Monica, who asks Jason
what he wants. "Treat me like a grownup." Edward: "Then act like one."
Alan: "Back off!" %: "The boy might blow again."
He says: "I don't want a damn thing to do with any of you."
Edward: "The feeling is likely to be mutual." The Quartermaines
continue their loving, supportive, familial discussion. [How'd YOU like
to wake up in this family??] % asks: "What if your Jason doesn't make it
back? What if he's dead and you're stuck with me?" He leaves.
Edward tells Alan and Monica that he'll kick Jason out instantly
if he ever hurts Lila again. Then Alan and Monica are left to discuss
this. In an interesting view of family dynamics, their roles vis-a-vis
Jason are reversed, as compared to how they treat AJ. Monica thinks
Jason needs "more demands" and Alan pictures being easier on him. [This
struck me as very realistic, BTW. Jason is the favorite son, and they
would treat him differently from AJ-the-Screwup.] They are not fighting
as they do over AJ, either, but quietly discussing a mutual problem. [No
blame to be dished out, either.]
When the room is empty, Jason-% comes in and looks at the
oatmeal. Reginald is clearing up and explains that "nobody actually
eats that oatmeal." % thinks "the guy" should have told them he didn't
like oatmeal. Reginald explains that Mrs. Quartermaine is a very special
lady. % admits "it's not her fault she drives me crazy." Reginald
suggests that % give Lila another chance, and assures him that "she has
forgiven other people much more who deserve it much less." Reginald
thanks % for helping clear, he's the first family member in three years
to help, and % says: "You don't get it, do you? I'm not a family member."
At dinnertime, Edward enjoys his martini and Monica tells AJ the
cocktail hour isn't mandatory. AJ is going to meetings and owning up to
being a drunk. He tells the family about helping Justus' campaign, and
the whole family, including Reginald, offer to help. When the room is
clear of all but Lila, Monica and Emily, Jason-% comes in and wants to
see Lila alone.
He has discovered the conservatory, cut her some beautiful roses,
[Of course, she has no vase for them], and apologizes. She is thrilled,
and says she'd give him a kiss if she thought he'd take it, but thank you
would do. [Scene of the week, in my opinion.] Enough emotion. % heads
to the porch, and looks so LOST.
