From: sac28948@saclink1.csus.edu (Sally A Wilson) Subject: GH: Update Wednesday February 28 Date: 4 Mar 1996 08:10:06 GMT It's the end of the day at General Hospital, Audrey questions Bobbie about Jason. Bobbie replies that he's taken on his therapy with a vengence: it's almost as if he's trying to reinvent himself. Just then a social worker and a couple show up, they're there to puck up the new- born that they're adopting. Bobbie offers to check on the baby. Mac arrives home. Kathy jumps him, she's "so happy to see his face; she was so scared." He assures her that all is well. Garcia hauled Damian away. At the Charles St. Foundation Justus is whining about his problems with the mayor. Robin and Laura [Genie has returned] try to reassure him that he did nothing wrong. Laura tells him that they need to start concentrating their efforts, they need to turn things around. They need to begin by highlighting his pre-Sonny work that he did for the community. And he needs a campaign manager who can fight city hall. Just then Luke bounces in, everyone in the room turns to him, with a knowing look. Luke tells them about San Antone and Damian. Justus wonders if Kathy knows. "Right now, as we speak, she's in the reassuring arms of Mac Scorpio," Luke replies. Justus then asks him to be his campaing manager. Luke declines, his past would only be a hindrance; however he nominates Laura, a "pillar of the community." He agrees. They break up the meeting. L&L leave arm-in-arm. Bobbie goes to the nursery, however it seems that a a nurse unknowingly broght the baby to the birth mother. Damian is being interrogated by the cops. Garcia threatens that if anything were to happen to Damian's enemies -- Katherine, Luke and his family, Mac, Lucy and Kevin, or even if her webbed pet should as much as hear the words "duck sauce" -- he will be held personally responsible. D.A. Schultz arrives and he is none too pleased. There seems to be the little matter of him missing the Grand Jury hearing. Sarcastically Damian replies that he knew he had forgotten something. It's just that the PC weather was getting to him and he wanted to take a holiday in a warmer climate. Damian insists that at most he is guilty of "contempt of court," but he is the victim, he was kidnapped and carried over state lines. Garcia informs him that this is not as bad as being dead at the bottom of a lake. They question him about the cabin, the blood -- the frame-up. He wonders how he can receive justice. He tells them that he'll go to the feds. Though they think that the feds won't be too helpful either. He tells them that Kathy's toes and Lucy's duck will not be physically harmed, for he has ohther ways of dealing with people who cross him. Kathy wonders what they'll do now, what if they let Damian go. Mac advices her not to worry that the feds will handle him. She doesn't want to be a downer after all the incredible things he's done for her. Well, he tells her, don't expect me to shave my legs, I've had all the nixes I can stand. She promises, but how are they going to out guess Damian, this latest thing might put him over the edge. Mac conforts her, Damian may be scarey, but he isn't invincible. She still wants to keep their survelience for a while. The birth mother -- a 16 year unwed mother -- is holding the baby as Bobbie walks in. "I can't do I; I can't let him go." She thought she could, but after seeing him, after holding him she has changed her mind. [FORESHADOWING ALERT] Her family has disowned her, the father has skipped town: she's all alone. Bobbie seems disturbed by the situation -- maybe more than would be normal. Bobbie is in a delemma. The mother thinks she can keep the baby and handle everything. The mother admits that she picked the adopted parents from a long list of prospects, but she still wonders if the baby wouldn't be better off with her. Luke and Laura return home. Luke tells Lucky about San Antone. Laura tells him that she finished her papers and she only needs two more course and then there will be the light at the end of the tunnel, and back to a normal life. Luke wonders what that is. "I guess I imaged that part," Laura admits. She tells him that even inf his life depended on it he couldn't lead an non-adventurous life. Maybe, he replies, but "I don't know to." Though your an adventure, and "the PMS alone is a blood ponder." Laura laughs and they embrace. Mac is telling Robin about their expoilts. Robin is happy for KatyBell. KatyBell wants to celebrate. Mac suggests friends -- at least one is. Just then the door bell rings, it's Lucy and Kevin. She mutters that she'll make an effort to be nice to Lucy. Kathy tells her she's happy she's home "safe and sound," though not too convincingly. Kathy tells them that Mac was just relating their adventures to her. Kevin remarks that things are never a "DRAG" with Mac involved. Kathy struggles to thank her "words seem to fail me." Lucy goes into full Luce mode, Well, that's okay it must be terriblely emotional to face the woman who saved your life; especially after the past. This woman really has no reason to lift a finger, let alone risk her life for you." At this point Katherine's irration is growing and growing, "I think you've hit the nail right smack-dab on the head." Luce thinks there's hope for her since she is allowing herself to feel gratitude and remorse. Hope for what, wonders Kathy. "A beautiful friendship between us," a pleased Lucy answers. Luke gives Lucky a deck of cards -- an exact replica of the kind the river boat gamblers used. Wild Bill Hicock probably was playing with a similar dech when he turned up the "dead man's hand," Luke tells him. COOL! Luke calls Sonny, informing him about Damian. Just then Sonny's door bell rings -- it's Damian, "We have business to discuss NOW, Sonny." Bobbie tells the mother she understands. Though the girl doesn't under- stand how she could. Bobbie tries to make her realize how difficult it would be. The girl doesn't want to receive financial assistance, she'll get a job. Bobbie asks her if she has any skills. The girl seems to be finally understanding the scope of the situation; she finally admits she can't take care of herself let alone a baby. Sobbing, she hands the baby over to Bobbie. As she leaves, she stops by the door, and glances back; she is obviously moved -- after hesitating at the door she leaves. We next see Bobbie exiting the elevator, talking to the baby. She brings him over to the expectant and overjoyed prospective parents. Bobbie lets them take care of the baby. They and the case worker leave to complete the paper work. Bobbie sadly looks on. Audrey wonders if she's okay. "It's just so sad," she answers back. Sonny tries to slam the door on Damian. But he prevents him and barges in anyway. "Do you have anything to say Sonny?" Sonny doesn't like the idea of him coming their immediately after leaving the polic -- or even coming at all. Damian wants to pick up where they left off. He has alot of targets, and he needs all the secrecy possible. What resources are available for him. NO, Sonny replies, you're on your own. Damian reminds him that Sonny owes him. Sonny tells him he's got that wrong, Damian owes him, for he stepped in a stopped Rivera's goons from killing him: he saved Damian's life. He is no longer in business; thus they are no longer in business. He informs Damian that Rivera took over his business -- Rivera is running the show now. Damian is boiling now, he accuses Sonny of selling him out, in order to protect himself. Lucy babbles on about Damian's downfall, because he found her irresistible... he revealed himself because he wanted to be close to her...that is how *I* caught him, she relates with a pleased expression on her face. Mac, "That's how SHE finally caught him." Sarcastically Kathy replies that when the movie comes out the rest probably won't even be in it. Kevin tells her she's wrong, for he's already been signed to play the chopped-liver. Luce admits they helped, especially neutralizing Damian's amazing body guard Amazons. Robin wonders if men can be Amazons. Lucy said that they were the most well built and gorgeous Amazons she's seen. Mac seemed to left that part out when he was relating it to Kathy. Luce wonders what took them so long neutralizing them. She was stuck battling Damian with her wits for hours and hours. Robin asks her where Luke was all this time. "Probably napping," replies Kathy who's becoming more and more irrated. Mac tells her, "Remember she did try to help you." "I'm gong to use that as my mantra," she retorts. Kathy interrupts Luce, there's one thing they need to settle before the evening is over. Lucy really seems to be enjoying the whole situation. I am grateful for your help... Lucy breaks in that she knows Kathy is heading. Kathy plans on asking her to forgive her for all the nasty things she did, and said. Kathy furious tells her that she regrets nothing, nor does she like her. Lucy takes it all in stride, she knows that KathyBell is just humilated at the fct that she (Lucy) rose above it all to help her, despite everything. Kevin looks on, rolling his eyes -- he breaks it up by proposing a toast: "To the fact that we're all HAPPY...happy that Katherine is free, and that Damian is getting what he deserves." Kathy looks on, none too please. Sonny warns Damian not to threaten him. Sonny informs him that he went to Rivera since Damian had nothing more to contribute. Sonny reminds him that he got a good income off of him (Sonny). He tells Damian that he stuck by him against the cops. He wonders if everything is so bad for Damian in PC, why is he staying in town. "Because I've got unfinished business!" I have a second chance at life, and I am going to make the most of it. He leaves. Sonny looks concerned. Luke is going over some mail, he looks over at Laura who is going over some papers. "Oh no, I've just had a terrible vision," he bursts out, the kids are in their beds dreaming of card games and sugar plums. A future of quiet evenings at home. So much for adventure, she says. He puts on a CD: "I feel the earth move under my feet..." "Take a walk on the wild side," Luke entices her. They begin to dance. ====================================================== I have had tea...lot's of tea...INDIAN tea...and biscuits (Dirk McQuickly of the RUTLES.) ====================================================== Sally A.
