General Hospital Update
Wednesday 2/21/96

Keesha, AJ, Robin & Justus
---------------------------------
Keesha and Robin are at the Foundation. Robin comments to Keesha about the
number of messages that are waiting for Justus. Keesha, however, is
thinking about Jason and isn't really paying attention to Robin. She
apologizes and asks Robin if she noticed that Jason was different when he
woke up. Robin says she didn't really notice anything relates the story of
when Jason woke up. Robin also admits that she hasn't been by to see Jason.
She's used to the "old" Jason who was always there to help her, and she's
afraid she'll start making demands on Jason if she sees him. She figures
it's best to give Jason some space.

Justus arrives and Robin gives him his messages. They tell him that the
phone has been ringing all morning because of the recall petition. Justus
explains what's going on to Robin and Keesha. He doesn't think his
reputation is very
good right now due to defending Katherine, the Grand Jury appearance of
Sigmund & Lucy, his involvement with Sonny, and his relationship to the
Quartermaines.

AJ comes in recovering his drinking binge. He explains that he has no place
to go and asks if he could hang out there. Everything is crazy at home with
Jason there. Jason spends a lot of time outside trying to avoid the family -
Alan is afraid he'll catch pneumonia and die. AJ attempts to make a joke
about how ironic it would be for Jason to die of pneumonia when he survived
the car crash.

Keesha has to go to ELQ to deliver some papers to Ned and asks AJ to come
with her. They make a stop in the park and discuss AJ drinking. AJ tells
her that Jason forgave Ned about the accident, and he feels that Ned always
gets off easily. Keesha tells AJ that she is also angry at Ned. AJ flashes
back to his encounter with Ned right after the accident, and Keesha blurts
out that she wished Ned were dead. She then says that she really didn't
mean that and makes AJ promise to not give up on himself. She says Jason
wouldn't give up on him.

Back at the Foundation, Robin tells Justus that he is doing a good job. She
tells him about her dad. He said that "most people are cattle - they go where
they're led." Justus replied that it sounded like he didn't have a very high
opinion of people. Robin said that he believed they had a right to be protected
as long as they paid him, and if they didn't, he would have quit. She tries to
tell Justus that public opinion isn't important and that he has done a good job
and he should be proud. He shouldn't stay where he isn't wanted.

Monica, Emily, Bobbie and Tony
----------------------------------------
Monica and Emily are at the hospital, and Emily has a patch over her eye.
She's telling Monica that the eye surgery really wasn't that bad. Monica
suggest they go out to lunch. Bobbie, who is at the Nurse's Station, says
that lunch sounds like a good idea since Monica looks worse than Emily.
Bobbie then asks Emily what happened. Emily tells the story. She was
taking Raoul for a walk when he say a rabbit and started to chase it. Emily
followed but got hit in the eye with a tree branch. She explained that she
tries to take Raoul out when Jason isn't around. The "new" Jason doesn't
like Raoul, but Raoul still tries to play with Jason and even knocked him
down a couple of times, which Monica didn't know about. Emily suggests
Chinese for lunch.

Tony stops by the Nurse's Station, and Bobbie tells him how tired she is.
He suggests they go home for an afternoon nap. Tony and Bobbie are in bed
and Tony asks her what's wrong. Bobbie says she has a major case of the
blues. She thinks that she's actually jealous of Monica for what she has
with Emily, but thinks that's silly especially after everything Monica has
done to win over Emily. She tells Tony about Emily's dream again, and Tony
says that she probably feels like BJ abandoned her just like Emily's mom did
in her dream. He explains that it's natural for her to be angry over BJ's
death.

Ned, Lois, Brenda and Sonny
-----------------------------------
Ned and Lois are at the Grille for lunch. Lois tells Ned that she has a
massage scheduled for the afternoon. Ned teases her about living like a
Quartermaine. Brenda joins them and also teases Lois about the massage,
especially after her facial the other day. However, she also says that Lois
deserves it and should enjoy herself. The conversation then turns to Jax,
and Ned and Lois ask Brenda about her date the other night. She tells them
about it, and Ned then asks if Jax asked about ELQ. Brenda says that as a
matter of fact he did - he wanted to know why Lois wasn't on the Board. She
told him that Lois has her own company and doesn't want to be involved in
ELQ. Ned, suspecting that Jax wants to get his hands on ELQ, tells Brenda
to tell him if Jax brings up ELQ again. Brenda then goes off to call Jax to
arrange another date.

While Brenda is on the phone with Jax, Sonny and Harry come in and sit down.
Brenda thanks him for the flying lesson, then asks him if he was serious about
taking Lois to Ireland for oysters. She tells him she loves oysters and he asks
her if she would like to fly with him to Ireland for oysters tomorrow at 9:00am.
Brenda accepts provided she can fly the plane, at least part
of the time. Jax says they'll be taking a jet, but she should catch on
pretty quickly. Brenda sees Sonny and returns to Ned and Lois' table. She
says, loudly enough for Sonny to hear, that she is going to Ireland with Jax
for oysters. She says she has to go shopping for something to wear and off
she goes.

As Brenda leaves Harry mentions Brenda being involved with Jax. Sonny
replies that he doesn't care unless Jax gets involved in his business.
Sonny tells Harry he wants to meet tomorrow to discuss a reorganization of
what Rivera is handling as well as his capital currently in Switzerland.
Sonny doesn't want his 4 million dollars to be eaten up by taxes. Harry
jokingly suggests that Sonny ask Ned for investment advice. Sonny thinks
that's a good idea and gets up to go over to Ned & Lois' table.

Sonny approaches and Ned invites him to sit down. Ned thanks Sonny for
giving Jason cab fare the other night and wants to pay him back. Sonny does
not accept saying that Jason was very kind to Stone. Sonny then asks Ned to
recommend a good investment firm for his money. Ned suggests Fenton,
Dunleavy & Brillstein, as long as the money is legitimate. Sonny says that
it is, and Ned offers to make an introductory phone call. Sonny says as
long as they check out okay, he'll use them. He thanks them and goes back
to Harry.

Sonny tells Harry to check out the firm. He tell Harry that Ned "may be a
miserable failure as a human being, but the boy knows a lot about money."
Harry worries that Ned could be setting up Sonny. Sonny tells him that's
why Harry is going to check out the firm very carefully.
At the other table, Lois is amazed at how civil Ned was to Sonny. He
explains that he knows Lois still likes Sonny. Since Sonny's no longer
involved in L&B and he's now married, he's no longer a threat to them or
Brenda, so why not be nice to him. She then asks why he can't act the same
way toward AJ. He replies that AJ is still screwing up and causing damage.

After a commercial break, Ned has left but Lois is still at the table. She
sees AJ at the bar and invites him to join her. He comes over and assures
her that he's drinking coffee. He only has a couple of minutes because he's
off to an AA meeting. He apologizes about being drunk the other day. Lois
asks if she could talk to Ned for him. She also asks about the "game" he
mentioned when he was drunk. AJ tell her to just forget about it. He tell
her to forget at least half of anything he says when he's drunk. He tells
her that the only decent thing Ned has ever done was to marry her, and even
that doesn't count because "everyone loves you." He begs her to not let Ned
take Jason away because he has so much already. He then leaves for his
meeting.

Sonny stops by Kelly's to give Ruby Lily's rent payment. He explains to
Ruby that Lily insisted that Ruby take the money. Ruby replies that Lily is
"to good to be true." Brenda, who has come in to Kelly's, agrees. She then
proceeds to tell Sonny, rather loudly, that he doesn't know the real Lily.
She goes on about going to Ireland with Jax and spending the night with
him. Everyone in Kelly's (mostly grade school aged kids) is looking at her
by this point. Sonny replies with "that's just like you Brenda, always a lady."
He tells her he doesn't care where she goes and with whom, and then leaves.
