From: jyarnot@netcom.com (Jan Yarnot) Subject: GH: Update (at last!) Thursday February 8 Date: Thu, 15 Feb 1996 00:45:45 GMT I'm late, I'm late, I'm sorry... GET OUT BEFORE THE INK DRIES Edward is huffing at breakfast about being done to as he does to others. He tells Ned he got EXACTLY what he wanted and Sally the Maid comes up with a Line of the Day, "The shaft?" (She's feeling feisty because it's Cook's day off, no doubt.) The whole family makes fun of Edward. Jax comes, Edward signs (tearing the paper) but then Jax won't, he wants a meeting alone with Lois at his suite. Lois reassures Ned she can handle this, and Ned stands at the sideboard saying "She's magnificent!" showing his dimples, while Edward throws up his hands in frustration. Jax, at his hotel room, tells Lois he will sign the papers if she goes away with him for a weekend. GET OUT BEFORE COOK COMES HOME! Tony wakes Bobbie, it's her turn to take care of Lucas. (I'm still stewing about Lucas's birthday party last year, when Bobbie was kissing Alan instead of being there!) Bobbie needs a hug. She's missing BJ. She goes to the Quartermaine's to talk to Monica, who takes her into the kitchen. It's (Virginia) Cook's day off, and they agree they are terrified of her. Bobbie misses being best friends, and Monica keeps ducking the issue ("you should have thought of that when you were kissing my husband!" is the issue) by setting up cream pie and milk. Finally, though, the inevitable happens, Monica spritzes Bobbie with a forkful of pie, and soon the pie, the milk, the flour, and the OTHER pie, are flying. Alan comes in, (they're terrified that it might be Cook!) and laughs. Later, Monica tells Alan about her secret admirer. Alan is jealous, he would like to drop a house on him. (He's done just that before, hasn't he? No imagination!) GET OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. Justus is miserable. He sits in MaryMae's chair, and Keesha comes in. She says he looks like he's been run over by a truck, and he says it wasn't a truck, it was a six-year-old boy. When Keesha hears about the breakup, she points out that Justus and Simone are still dealing with the emotional climate of MM's death, but surely a compromise can be reached. Meanwhile, Tom comes to see Simone and tells her that he agrees with Justus about not letting Tommy call the shots. Simone really does seem to need to have Tom around, though. Justus drops by to see Simone. He "didn't want to leave things the way they were." But they still reach no agreement, and as he leaves in anger, he tells her that Tom was right, that she always finds a way to break off her affairs and get back with Tom. Then, at the hospital, Justus goes to talk to Tom. Tom is surprised Simone didn't take his advice. He hopes that Simone isn't pulling the same "go back to Tom" stunt, because this time he won't be there for her. -- Jan Yarnot, net.granny, RABbabe, Proud Mom to Stands-With-a-Book, the Booklist Boy, the IRS Guy, the Tycoon, and Sunbunny.
