General Hospital Update
Tues Feb 06, 96

Bobi goes to Ruby's to see what happened to her aunt. Ruby was in a car
accident but insists she is now fine. Emily comes in looking for a notebook.
Ruby has it, much to Emily's relief. Bobi invites Emily to a hot cooa. They
get to talking and Emily tells her about her dreams. They swap dream stories,
till Em realizes that she is running late for school. Bobi goes back to the
hospital, where she bumps into Tony at a nurses station. They talk about
their feelings that they will have whenever they interact with orphans or
parents who've lost children. They hug, tightly.

Simone is trying to get Tommie moving and off to school. Tom comes by to pick
up Tommie and Simone tells him that it is Fily's day to do school run. She is
glad to see him this morning though and makes a couple of oblique comments.
Tom does not know what she is talking about and they talk past each other for
a couple of minutes.  She finally spits out that it is their anniversary. He
says 'Oh, yeah', he remembered it last night and decided to forget about it.
They talk about the various ways of dealing with the date. Tommie comes in
and they talk to him about it. Tom tells Simone that he will look back
without bitterness. Tom leaves.
Justus comes by and wants to meet for dinner and wedding plans. Simone says
she is still not willing to wed untill Tommy is less petulant. Justus does
not agree but they agree to dinner anyway. He tells her that he is meeting
with the Mayor and Council honcho about his political career. She tells him
to give 'em hell.  At the meeting the Mayor and Council spell out their
concerns about Justus's legal activity. Justus says; 'funny, my constituents
aren't complaining'. Justus says if they want him to quit the Council they
will have to kick him out. But he will fight back.

There's a pounding on the studio door, early in the morn. Weasl, getting
dressed as he is moving, opens the door. To his dismay, it is Jax. Lois gets
down and she and Jax, with Jax making goo-goo eyes, tell Weasl about the
buying of the japanese drug company. Weasl is not amused and upset that the
deal went down. Lois said that Weasl had to kept in the dark due to insider
information concerns [WHAT? This struck me as stupid. if insider trading is
even an issue with buying on foreign exchanges, it would apply to Lois just
by dint of marriage.] When Weasl is told the part of exchanging Eddie Main
for the japanese company he is dubious. But, whats done is done and they
might as well give it a shot.
They get to the big house and EdQ is upset at seeing Jax in his house. The
three co-horts start spelling out the situation, with Jax not saying much but
enjoying munching from the breakfast buffet and watching the show. EdQ is
extremely angry and looks like he is going to explode at any moment. He
considers the whole thing a betrayal. To Lois's dismay and Weasl's concern,
EdQ is not playing along. When Lois presses her perceived advantage to
include the LatinAmerican expenses, EdQ has had it. He starts expounding when
he stops suddenly and keels clutching his chest. Heart attack.
