Well folks, for those who haven't see my previous post, this will be my
last GH update (at least for quite a while). Real life seems to think
it takes precedence...so it's with some sadness (but an awareness of the
additional time I'll have for life) that I present this last Tangy Nancy
GH update.

He's Hooked
-----------
Luke's not to happy to find Lucky with his feet up on Luke's desk. But all
Lucky is doing is leaving a present for Luke. Seems Lucky was "lucky"
at the poker table and has purchased an expensive cigar case for Luke and
has also bought one (1) very expensive cigar for Luke. Lucky goes on and on
about the rush he got playing and winning. Mike has arrived in the meantime
to hear Lucky's ethusiasm. Luke warns Lucky to keep his enphoria from
Laura. When Lucky's gone, the deadbeat dad Mike tries to point out to Luke
that Lucky is addicted to gambling. Hmmmm....just like his father and that
is just fine with Luke, life is a gamble.

A Package from Rivera
---------------------
A huge box arrives for Lily. It's from Lily's "old world father." The
packing material is like that which her grandmother used when packing beaded
purses and lace table linens. Hmmm, it's Lily's mother's wedding dress and
her mother's mantilla. And a note from her father telling her how joyful
her mother was wearing the dress. Lily recalls seeing pictures of her
mother and she could see her mother was full of love for Lily's father,
a love she gave him. But Lily also knows her mother gave her father all
her power when she married him. And because of that power Lily was forced
to give up her baby and her dream with Miguel. An incident that caused
Lily to hate her mother and what she had done. But now Lily realizes that
without all that happened then she never would have found the man she loves
and is about to marry. Lily goes off to try on the dress and warns Sonny
NOT to come see her in it...thats *very* bad luck. Lily fantasizes it's
her wedding day and she and Sonny have been married. He comes to her and
tells her want she thought would take a long time has happened...as the
priest blessed them he realized he has fallen in love with her. Back in
real life Sonny looks on a dreamy Lily looking in the mirror as she wears
her mother's mantilla and holds up the wedding gown.

A Whole New Design
------------------
Ruby bursts into Brenda's room to find clothes strewn everywhere. Brenda
is bound and determined to get things out of her life, especially a few
things she wore in PR. Ruby thinks Brenda is trying to get Sonny out of
her life. Ruby suggests Brenda just take it one step at a time. Robin
arrives and Ruby leaves. Robin knows the sorting out of clothes is about
Sonny. Robin's been cleaning the attic and she knows that's about Stone.
They talk of Stone's desire to have Brenda and Sonny together as Brenda
wonders what Stone would say about Sonny marrying Lily. Robin and Brenda
try out a "Sonny/Stone" discussion of the subject. Brenda realizes Sonny
was "just taking care of business." She recalls the cold look on Sonny's
face when he and Lily passed her at LUKE'S, the look Sonny's uses to hide
his pain behind. A look that was not there when Sonny told Brenda he
loves her. The big unanswerable question is: would Stone know if Sonny will
call off the wedding? Brenda rambles about Sonny breaking the engagement
but stops herself as she knows the only way Sonny can save himself is to
marry Lily. Robin agrees. Brenda knows she wants to be with Sonny but
more than that she wants Sonny to be safe as she knows he would die in
prison. She promised she'd be by his side through anything, hey, even
marriage to another woman though Brenda doesn't know what that means.
When Ruby returns to Brenda's room, it's all cleaned up, with summer clothes
under the bed, a bag of discards by the door and the rest in the closet.
Ruby'd like whomever did it to do Ruby's closets. When Brenda jokes Ruby
knows something is up, Brenda hasn't joked since being depressed about
Sonny. Brenda has figured out Sonny isn't trying to hurt her, only letting
her go the best way he knows how. He's doing what he has to do to stay
alive and Brenda now understands that. Ruby doesn't quite see Brenda's
reality but Brenda is opting to take any piece of Sonny's life she can,
even if he has to marry Lily to stay alive, since Brenda wants him safe.

Don't Leave Town
----------------
Mac tries to calm a panicked Katherine as they wait for Garcia to question
her. Mac figures Damian is dead and it was an underworld hit. Justus
arrives (what first Lois, then Sonny, now Katherine, hmmmm....the only
attorney in town?). Justus wants a straight answer...how much trouble is
Katherine in? Katherine tells her story of Damian's threats, the trip
to the Carribean, etc to Justus and as she is finishing her tale with the
part about waking up outside her place Garcia comes in and points out the
handkerchief had Damian's initials on it. Garcia wants to tape the interview,
that's fine with Katy despite Justus suggesting Garcia could be made to
take notes. Once again she tells her story and while she does Mac looks
down at Katy's shoes. Hmmmm. Once she's finished, or rather when Justus
cuts off Garcia asking about when Katy and Damian dissolved their relationship
they go to leave but Katy notices her new shoe is dirty. Garcia wants to
see it. Justus suggests not but Katy thinks she has nothing to hide so she
gives the shoe to Garcia. Mac then carries Katy from the PCPD after Garcia
tells her not to leave town. Justus offers to represent her. Mac is curious
why. Justus looks worried but is interested. Mac arrives at LUKE'S with
Katy. She needs a safe place and figures Luke can provide it. After first
turning Mac down Luke agrees, especially when he hears Damian might be dead.
Luke, in a way only Luke can do, "accepts" Katy's story...as that a story.
All he cares is Junior Smith is probably dead and congratulates her. Mac
heads off to check out the scene leaving the one-shoed Katherine behind.
Babe gives her "in case" shoes to Katy. At least they are amusing to Katy.
Katherine decides to set the record straight with Luke about Mac and the
information that was used against Sonny. Luke actually believes her when
she tells him that Mac had no idea Sonny would get hurt, that they were
only going after Damian. And even more amazing he believes that if she
had know Luke was the conduit she would have warned Luke that Sonny could
be implicated because Luke is Mac's friend. Katy keeps trying to remember
what happened. Luke suggests she relax, then she might. She realizes the
spots on her shoe looked like blood. Luke does point out that even if she
does remember...she doesn't think there was a witness, something the police
will need.

Meanwhile Mac visits Sonny to see if Sonny knows anything or can find out
anything about Damian's disappearance or possible death. As far as Sonny
knows Damian is alive and kicking but given the news that Katherine is
"under suspicion" he will see what he can find out. Once Mac is gone
Sonny puts in a call to Rivera. Rivera's not there but is asked to call
Sonny.

Goin' to Paris
--------------
Lucy and Kevin are at the gate as Lucy is leaving instructions on Felicia's
answering machine on Sigmund's care since Lucy and Kevin have "no idea"
where Mac is. As they head off to board the plane to Paris Lucy tells
Kevin she "is forgetting what parking lot she saw Katherine in."
